Soccer and Racial Integration
Sport can fully integrate the individual into a different
reality from the daily one burdened with many problems, by transferring
it on an equality and equity level towards socialization and
solidarity. Soccer represents a life and social metaphor. Thanks to it
we learn the meaning of playing in a team, feeling part of a group,
and then of a community. The ethical values conveyed through the
practice of soccer, and through sports in general, such as loyalty, team
spirit, respect for rules and for the opponent, offer the possibility
to break down the barriers of disability and mistrust by promoting
genuine interests in what is alternative to our way of being and living.
Soccer as a sport discipline is a strong element of aggregation
and connection, able to spread and help people understand a cultural
perspective based on respect, integration and ability to recognize and
self-recognize as members of the same community
Football development according to the UEFA: from the Grassroots Programme to the training of technicians
Caring for grassroots is a priority the UEFA, in line with
the thought that the élite football cannot be successful without a solid
foundation, and in the light of the fact that football must be open to all.
UEFA’s commitment in developing and cultivating the technical sector
of the European football has borne fruit over the years, with the result
that the governance of the European football has established new and
meaningful standards, in collaboration with its 54 member federations.
Among the activities carried out by the UEFA, considerable emphasis is
attached to the following aspects: football training activities; development
and training of coaches; analysis of tactical and technical trends in
the UEFA elite football and in youth competitions; care for grassroots;
services provided to young football players in a growth phase
Special didactics in the postural stability of young players
Previous research has evaluated the training effect of soccer, in adolescence
on postural control through the use of a strong platform for the detection
of the Center of pressure (COP); this research, however, showed only how
soccer. unlike other sports or sedentary subjects, would improve postural stability
during adolescence before a man’s normal biological development. However,
the meaning of this potential can be given by the abilities developed through
this sport, or by its training/situations that facilitate the learning process. This
further research on the influence of soccer training on postural control will have
to search specifically for the factors that lead to a greater postural control; therefore,
the project concerns the experiencing of two different training methodologies
on 2 groups of children aged between 6-7 years, who will be offered their
training program for 5 years and, at the beginning/end of every year / training
cycle assessments will be made through a strength springboard of the COP in
order to evaluate the postural stability of children. The educational applications
will be made according to the cognitive and prescriptive teaching approach or
that of eco-dynamic and heuristic learning type, with the aim of highlighting
what type of methodological approach in soccer will lead to a greater postural
control in adolescence in order to obtain additional data that can contribute to
Peterson’s research (2006) on the variables that influence the postural control
during the adolescence
Youth soccer Organization, Training and Education within the F.I.G.C.
The organization and development of youth soccer is entrusted
by the F.I.G.C. to the Juvenile and Scholastic Activity sector, which
promotes, regulates and organizes the activity of young players aged between
five and sixteen years with technical, educational and social purposes. The structure of the Sector and the organization of its activities is
aimed at the development of the technical and tactical abilities, but also
at the physical and intellectual growth and training of young players
Football and re-education of young guys
Football, practiced by young guys in the prisons, is an important
element of rehabilitative treatment and prevention of recidivism,
offering a different dimension of space, circumscribed and controlled in
itself. The prison, a closed and indigent place par excellence, is a challenge
of great impact for the education of children through sports.
Football activity supports the development and reintegration of minors
at both individual and social level; playing sports in the period of
puberty and adolescence involves many benefits that support the person’s
welfare, physical health and psychological/relational balance. The study
of the rehabilitative factors contributes to improving the quality of life,
the promotion of social relationships based on supporting and disseminating
a culture based on respect for rules and common life
Didactics of Football and Periodization: Preliminary Study
Football is a situational sport, it is subject to many variables depending
on the field, the opponents, the teammates and the presence of the
ball. For this sport, the aspects that concern significantly training are the conditional
or organic-muscular and technical-tactical ones. The study is based
on the theory of periodization, which consists in dividing the training year
into time intervals with clearly defined goals to be achieved in each period.
The study was carried out on 2 male subjects of 22 years old, belonging to a
senior football club playing in the College Championship, through the use
of the Maximum Strength test, the endurance test, the Cooper test, and the
psychometric and body circumferences detection which determined the assessment
and performance improvements in the different periodization phases.
The study focuses on the collection of data obtained following the typical
scheme of a training session with the methodology of periodization. Periodization
was originally proposed by Tudor Bomba and constitutes a methodological
approach aimed at achieving the training objectives necessary for
pre-determined agonistic levels. Periodization is governed by the principle of
progressivity of load and of physiological adaptation. The exercises proposed
in strength training aim at reproducing the real motor execution model of
football that needs to be performed repeatedly, so as to enhance learning
according to the cognitive approach with prescriptive teaching based on specific
orders. The imitation of the technical skills involves the muscle chain,
just like that used in the real technical performance of sports skills. So the
training exercises and methods must aim at reproducing movements and
conditions just like in a match, so that the same discharges in motoneurons
are reproduced to express the same athletic gestures with high power and
speed. The objective of the study is to assess the conditional improvements
after the training period, and the evaluation of the moment of peak performance
during the competitive period under evaluation
