    Conduction and optimization of inventories in Tatoli AS

    Bakalaureusetöö Maamajandusliku ettevõtluse ja finantsjuhtimise õppekavalInventuur on varade üle lugemine ja nende seisundi hindamine, mille käigus kontrollitakse vastavust raamatupidamise andmetega. Kvaliteetselt läbiviidud inventuur annab ettevõtte omanikele, juhtidele ja aruannete kasutajatele kindlustunde, et aruannetes sisalduv informatsioon ettevõtte varade ja kohustiste kohta on õige ja õiglane. Töö on aktuaalne, kuna põllumajandusmasinate ja nende varuosade müügiga tegelevas Tatoli AS-is oli 2021. 26.novembri seisuga 21 704 müüdavat kaubaartiklit, mida tuleb igal aastal inventeerida ning inventuuri läbiviimine on uuritavas ettevõttes keeruline, ajamahukas ja võib tekkida vigu. Töö eesmärgiks on välja selgitada Tatoli AS-i inventuuri läbiviimise korraldus ning täiustamise vajadus ja võimalused. Töö teoreetilises osas tuuakse välja inventuuri mõiste, eesmärk, jagunemine, liigid, inventuuri läbiviimisega seotud dokumentatsioon ja ettevalmistus. Samuti kirjeldatakse füüsilise ja raamatupidamisliku inventuuri läbiviimise korraldust. Töö empiirilises osas tutvustatakse uuritavat ettevõtet, antakse ülevaade inventuuride ettevalmistusest ning füüsilise ja raamatupidamisliku inventuuri läbiviimise korraldusest. Töö empiirilises osas andis töö auto ülevaate Tatoli AS-i viimase kümne aasta müügikäibest ja võrdles traktorite müügiandmeid ettevõtte peamiste konkurentide vastavate andmetega ning tõi välja töötajate keskmise arvu kümne aasta lõikes. Veel kirjeldas autor empiirilises osas Tatoli AS-i raamatupidajatega läbi viidud intervjuu põhjal ettevõtte inventuuri läbiviimise ettevalmistust ning füüsilise ja raamatupidamisliku inventuuri läbiviimist. Autor analüüsis intervjuu käigus kogutud infomatsiooni ja ettevõttelt saadud inventuuri dokumentatsiooni. Saadud informatsiooni põhjal selgitas töö autor välja inventuuri läbiviimise tugevused, nõrkused, võimalused ja ohud. Töö käigus selgus, et ettevõttes viikase inventuuri läbi korrektselt, kuid töö autor leidis võimalusi inventuuride läbiviimise optimeerimiseks läbi komisjonide juurde loomise, töötajate töökoormuse ja ajakulu võrdsustamise, tehnika kasutusele võtmise ning lao parema süstematsiseerimise.Inventory is a counting of assets and an assessment of their condition, during which compliance with accounting data is checked. A high-quality inventory gives company owners, managers and users of reports confidence that the information contained in the reports about the company’s assets and liabilities is correct and fair. The work is relevant, since Tatoli AS, which is engaged in the sale of agricultural machines and spare parts for them, as of the year 2021, had 21,704 items of goods in sale, which must be inventoried annually, and the conduct of the inventory in the company under study is difficult, timeconsuming and errors may occur. The purpose of the study is to understand the organisation of carrying out the inventory at Tatoli AS and estimate the need and opportunities for improvement. The theoretical part of the paper outlines the concept, purpose, division, inventory types, documentation and preparation related to the conduct of inventory, and describes the organization of conducting physical and accounting inventory. In the empirical part of the paper, the company under study is introduced, an overview of the preparation of inventories and the organization of conducting physical and accounting inventories is given. In the empirical part, the work author gave an overview of the company’s sales turnover over the past ten years and compared the sales data of tractors with the corresponding data of the main competitors of Tatoli AS and pointed out the average number of employees of the company by ten years. Further, on the basis of an interview with accountants of Tatoli AS, the author described the preparation for conducting an inventory of the company and conducting a physical and accounting inventory. The author analysed the information collected during the interview and the documentation of the inventory received from the company. Based on the information received, the author of the work carried out the analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and dangers of conducting an inventory. In the course of the work, it turned out that the company carries out inventory correctly, but the author of the work found ways to optimize the conduct of the inventory through the creation of committees, equalizing the workload and time spent by employees, as well as by the introduction of technology and better organization of the warehouse

    Modelling and design of an electrically-pumped DFB laser based on an erbium-doped silicon-rich silicon oxide layer embedded in a slot waveguide

    The development of a high-performance DFB laser compatible with the CMOS technology is essential for the future development of silicon photonics. In this paper the preliminary results on modelling and design of a distributed feedback silicon laser are reported. The gain medium, which is a layer of erbium doped silicon-rich silicon oxide, is embedded in a horizontal slot waveguide. The designed device includes a grating with 140 periods and a quarter-wave phase shift at the grating middle. The threshold gain coefficient of the laser is 0.4 cm(-1) and the emission wavelength is very close to 1.55 mu m

    Bakalaureusetöö Maamajandusliku ettevõtluse ja finantsjuhtimise õppekavalEttevõtte finantside juhtimine on üheks olulisemaks tegevuseks ettevõtte pikaajaliseks toimimiseks. Pidevalt finantsolukorda analüüsides on tõenäolisem ettevõtte kasumlikum tegutsemine. Töö aktuaalsus on põhjendatud ettevõtte seisukohalt, kuna ettevõtte juhtide eesmärk on panna ettevõte toimima võimalikult efektiivselt ja seeläbi saavutada võimalikult suur kasum. Töö eesmärgiks on teostada Tatoli AS-i finantsanalüüs aastatel 2011-2016, selgitada välja ettevõtte finantsolukord ning selle parendamise võimalused. Töö teoreetilises osas selgitatakse finantsanalüüsi vajalikkust ettevõttele. Antakse ülevaade finantsanalüüsi meetoditest. Töö empiirilises osas tutvustatakse ettevõtet ja analüüsitakse ettevõtte finantsseisundit aastatel 2011-2016, näitajaid võrreldakse kolme konkurendiga: ASiga Taure, OÜ Agriland ja Konekesko Eesti AS-iga. Finantsanalüüsi käigus teostatakse ettevõtte horisontaal- ja vertikaalanalüüs ja arvutatakse välja peamised finantssuhtarvud. Lisaks antakse autori poolt soovitusi ettevõtte efektiivsemaks toimimiseks ja parendamise võimalustest. Ettevõtte analüüsi käigus selgus, et Tatoli AS on omanikele kasumit teeniv. Tatoli AS-i kõige tulutoovam aasta oli 2013, kus müüdi rekordarv masinaid ja mille tõttu kasvas müügitulu ka aastate kõrgeimaks. Horisontaal- ja vertikaalanalüüsi käigus selgus, et ettevõttes on kiires tempos kasvavad laovarud, samas ei ole ettevõtte jaoks suur laoseis probleemiks, kuna varudele on leitud alternatiivtulu teenimisvõimalus. Finantssuhtarvude analüüsi käigus arvutati maksvõime-, varade kasutamise efektiivsuse-, finantsvõimenduse- ja rentaabluse suhtarvud. Suhtarvude analüüsis on näha aastate võrdluses sarnast trendi, kus näitajad on 2011-2013. aastani kiires tempos kasvanud ja 2014. aastal on toimunud järsk langus ning 2015-2016. aastal on näitajad hakanud jälle tõusma ja saavutamas 2011. aasta taset. Seega saab väita, et Tatoli AS-i tegevus on kasumlik. Ettevõttele on oluline hoida turuosa, et kasvavas konkurentsis, säilitada oma positsioon turul.Managing finances is the first requirement for businesses to survive and succeed. The company is more likely to do so if the finances are continuously analysed. The thesis is beneficial to the company’s management as it can help them achieve their goals to run their company as efficiently as possible. The purpose of this thesis was to perform a financial analysis of Tatoli AS for 2011-2016 and to find ways to improve its financial situation. In the theoretical part of the thesis the importance of financial analysis is explained and the main methods of financial analysis are introduced. In the empirical part of the thesis an overview of the company is given and its financial situation in 2011-2016 is analysed. The company is compared to three competitors: AS Taure, OÜ Agriland and Konekesko Eesti AS. The financial analysis includes both horizontal and vertical analysis and main financial ratios are calculated. The author proposes different alternatives for making the company more effective. The analysis revealed that Tatoli AS is a profitable company. The most profitable year was 2013 when the company sold a record number of machines earning a record revenue. The horizontal and vertical analysis revealed that the company’s inventory is growing at a fast pace. This is not necessarily a problem, as the management has found ways to make the inventory provide alternative income. In the financial ratios analysis the solvency, asset utilization, financial leverage and profitability ratios were calculated. The analysis indicated a trend in which all the figures were growing at a fast rate in 2011-2013 and fell abruptly in 2014. In 2015-2016 the figures started rising and were reaching the year 2011 levels. It is important for Tatoli AS to keep their market share in the growing competition and to keep their position, but the company is earning a profit and has done so during the whole observed period

    Recent advances in miniaturized optical gyroscopes

    Low-cost chip-scale optoelectronic gyroscopes having a resolution 10/h and a good reliability also in harsh environments could have a strong impact on the medium/high performance gyro market, which is currently dominated by well-established bulk optical angular velocity sensors. The R&D activity aiming at the demonstration of those miniaturized sensors is crucial for aerospace/defense industry, and thus it is attracting an increasing research effort and notably funds. In this paper the recent technological advances on the compact optoelectronic gyroscopes with low weight and high energy saving are reviewed. Attention is paid to both the so-called gyroscope-on-a-chip, which is a novel sensor, at the infantile stage, whose optical components are monolithically integrated on a single indium phosphide chip, and to a new ultra-high Q ring resonator for gyro applications with a configuration including a 1D photonic crystal in the resonant path. The emerging field of the gyros based on passive ring cavities, which have already shown performance comparable with that of optical fiber gyros, is also discussed

    Bakalaureusetöö Maamajandusliku ettevõtluse ja finantsjuhtimise õppekavalKäesoleva bakalaureusetöö uurib töötajate rahulolu Tatoli AS ettevõttes. Ettevõttes ei ole varem töötajate rahulolu uuritud, mistõttu on autori panus ettevõtte arengusse bakalaureusetöö raames läbi viidava uuringu näol oluline. Töö eesmärgiks on selgitada välja Tatoli AS Tartu osakonna personali tööga rahulolu ning uurimistulemustele tuginedes teha juhtkonnale parendusettepanekuid. Töö tulemuse väljaselgitamiseks on autor koostanud teoreetilise ülevaate erinevatest rahulolu teooriatest. Uurimismeetodina kasutas autor kirjalikku ankeetküsitlust ja uurimisvahendina küsimustikku. Küsimustiku koostamisel võeti aluseks Herzbergi rahuloluteooria seisukohad. Uuring viidi läbi perioodil 15.04.2016 - 30.04.2016. Uuringu valimi moodustasid 40 ettevõtte Tartu osakonna töötajat, kuna kahte juhatuse liiget ja raamatupidajat autor uuringusse ei kaasanud. Vastamisaktiivsus oli 83% (33). Käesoleva töö tulemusena selgus, et üldiselt võib töötajate rahulolu ettevõttes lugeda heaks. Töö käigus selgus, et juhatusel tuleks teha mõned muudatused, et töötajate rahulolu veelgi paremaks muuta.The aim of this bachelor thesis was to identify the level of job satisfaction of employees in Tatoli AS and based on the results, make higher improvements. The company has not previously had any job satisfaction surveys, so it is author's contribution to develop job satisfaction through the research. Author has previously composed overview about job satisfaction theories. The tool of research method was questionnaire. Questions on the survey were based on Herzberg satisfaction theory. Survey took a place at Tartu and was conducted during the period 15.04.2016 - 30.04.2016. There were 33 respondents out of 40 who had ability to answer the survey which makes 83% of all. Leaders of the company and accountant were not taking part of survey. Answers on the survey shows high level of employee satisfaction and can be considered good. During the work, there was some dissatisfaction seen on the survey, but hopefully management will consider ideas of author proposals

    Reconfigurable optical beamformer with graphene-based fine-tunable optical delay line

    An integrated graphene-based fine-tunable optical delay line in silicon nitride has been designed. A high optical delay time up to 920 ps has been calculated with a device footprint A ~ 4 mm2. The device includes two graphene-based Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) switches and two vertically-stacked microring resonators. Graphene capacitors have been integrated in the optical delay line to exploit the electro-optic effect aiming at fast tuning (response time of few nanoseconds) with a low power dissipation. Such performance, together with optical loss α < 27 dB, makes this device suitable for beam-steering up to 20 radiating elements, with an angle of ±20° in the azimuth direction, of a tile in a phased-array antenna included in an X-band SAR

ZoberSuperTIGER (Super Trans-Iron Galactic Element Recorder) is a long-duration-balloon instrument that completed its first Antarctic flight during the 2012-2013 austral summer, spending 55 days at an average float altitude of 125,000 feet. SuperTIGER measured the relative abundances of Galactic cosmic-ray (GCR) nuclei with high statistical precision and well resolved individual element peaks from 10Ne to 40Zr. SuperTIGER also made exploratory measurements of the relative abundances up to 56Ba. Although the statistics are low for elements heavier than 40Zr, we present preliminary relative abundance measurements of charges Z=41−56 with individual element resolution. GCR measurements up to 40Zr support a source acceleration model where supernovae in OB associations preferentially accelerate refractory elements that are more readily embedded in interstellar dust grains than volatiles. In addition, injection into the GCR for both refractory and volatile elements appears to follow a charge dependence consistent with their grain sputtering cross sections. Our preliminary measurements of the Z=41−56 range suggest the existence of an alternative GCR source or acceleration model for Z>40 elements.
