Elizabeth of Hardwick and epistolary negotiations : | author: Madeline Chatfield.: noblewomen and sixteenth-century English politics
This thesis analyses the ways in which English noblewomen used epistolary conventions and letter-writing to engage as agents in the political sphere of sixteenth-century England. It provides a long-term historical context to current discourses, both public and scholarly, about the place and function of women as actors in the political sphere. This thesis presents a case study of one English noblewoman, Elizabeth of Hardwick, whose life marked a gradual ascent from the landed gentry to the heights of the English aristocracy, and who remains one of Tudor England’s most prolific letter writers. Through a close reading of Elizabeth’s correspondence, this thesis will demonstrate how it was possible for noblewomen toact as political agents in sixteenth-century England while simultaneously being historically disenfranchised individuals. I argue that Elizabeth of Hardwick utilised epistolary conventions such as gendered appeals to motherhood and textual structures based on the Ciceronian tradition of public political language in letters to members of her social network to maintain powerful political connections and to exert influence upon institutional political processes
Roadmap for Deploying Semantic GD&T in Manufacturing
AbstractA five phase roadmap is proposed for deploying semantic GD&T in manufacturing. In the first phase real manufacturing is connected to virtual manufacturing using protocols such as MTConnect. In the second phase the virtual manufacturing results are connected to virtual and real CMM's. In the third phase new services optimize the models to make them more efficient while still meeting their design requirements. In the fourth phase closed loop machining systems evaluate proposed changes in real time. In the fifth phase the usage of cloud based models in virtual twin factories becomes ubiquitous. We describe how the virtual twin factories are built in Node.js, and how a new suite of protocols called the SWIM is used to track the relationships between normalized STEP models and the easy to use JSON objects of the virtual factory

CD8 T-cell-mediated cerebellitis directed against Purkinje cell antigen after ipilimumab for small cell lung cancer
We report a rapidly progressive and fatal CD8 T-cell-mediated cerebellitis after ipilimumab (cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 inhibitor) for small cell lung cancer. Clinical features and histopathology were consistent with an accelerated form of paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration. A patchy CD8 T-cell infiltrate spatially corresponded to areas of Purkinje cell loss, with occasional CD8 polarisation towards Purkinje cells. CD20-positive B cells were sparse. CD8 T-cell-mediated cerebellitis after immune checkpoint inhibitor treatment may recapitulate the early stages of paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration.</p

Tourism and Empirical Applications of International Trade Theory: A Multi-Country Analysis
This paper examines the application of quantitative techniques to further our understanding of international trade theory with respect to tourism flows. The analyses are based on the construction of Balassa and Grubel-Lloyd Indices, as well as the construction of dynamic indices. The results of the analyses suggest that international trade theory has much to offer the study of international tourism flows. Many countries seem to specialize as both exporters and importers of tourism services. The analyses also explore the theoretical assertion that intra-industry trade is likely to be of importance in understanding international tourism flows
