Susan informed her brother Philip that she received a letter from Mr. Stephens (see William Stephens to Susan Kean, September 4, 1799) along with an account of the lands in Georgia. She believed a deed could be drawn from the descriptions provided by Stephens. Susan transcribed Stephens’ letter for Philip Livingston that included the Georgia lands and her tax return for 1799.
