Prolific author and poet, retired Michigan State University Professor Hugh B. Fox talks about his early family life in Chicago and his writing career. Fox explains how he became acquainted with theater, music, and ballet at a young age and how he was forced into medical school, but later abandoned it to pursue the liberal arts and writing. Fox talks about his many interests including archeology, and his treatise on author and friend Charles Bukowski. Ralph Beebe
Dr. Ralph Beebe is a Quaker historian who has been associated with Newberg, George Fox College/University for many years. He is the author of several books that depict the history of Oregon Yearly Meeting and George College. Ralph Beebe is a strong pacifist, taking part in the Civil Rights movement and non-violent protests against the Vietnam war. Beebe holds and AB from GFU an MEd from Linfield, MA and PhD from Uof O. Taught high school history for 17years then 35 years at GFU now a professor emeritus. Beebe is the author of 8 books with more in the works.
