The newborn infant’s lung is vulnerable to injury from interventions provided in the delivery room (DR) and the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Some of the possible techniques to assess, stabilise and manage infants with respiratory difficulty whilst minimising harm have been explored in this thesis

Green Method: The Performance of Biochar in Water Filtration
Abstract: The results of measuring the power of Hydrogen (pH) of 5.5 mg/l and Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) of 3.20 mg/l level of water wells in a village, including in a school of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 5 in Tanjung Medan Rokan Hulu is considered not within permissible limit of World Health Organization (WHO) standards. For that reason, experimental research was conducted by firstly designing and making a water filtration device from Polyvinyl Chloride pipe of 4 inch in diameter, 100cm long, and 1 inch channel in and out. With the green method treatment, the biochar used are Coconut Shell Charcoal (CSC) and Bagasse Charcoal (BC), with additives material such as River Sand (RS), Fiber Palm (FP), and Crushed Gravel (CG). The results of the analysis prove that the best performance of Biochar in Water Filtration (BWF) to increase the content the pH of water to 89.09% is done by Coconut Shell Charcoal (CSC) biochar. While the best for reducing the water TDS level is performed by Bagasse Charcoal (BC) at 64.06%. The performance for pH increases and at the same time decreases the TDS level of water is done by Bagasse Charcoal (BC) biochar with a pH of 7.8 mg/l, and a TDS of 1.15 mg/l. Meanwhile, the filtration combination matrix that produces water according to the WHO standard permissible criteria is (A6+B6+C6+D1+E6), (A6+B6+C2+D2+E6), (A6+B6+C3+D3+E6), (A6+B6+C4+D4+E6), and (A6+B6+C5+D5+E6), as well (A6+B6+C1+D6+E6). So, it can be concluded that Biochar in Water Filtration (BWF) needs to be developed
La pharmacopée d'Avicenne
Avicenne 's Pharmacopoeia.
This title comes from the one given by Ibn Sina - Avicenna in the West - to volume V of his work Al-Qanun fil'tibb or The Canon of medicine. Ibn Sina's works constitute a very important legacy and this is confirmed by volumes II ans V of The Canon in particular. Volume II deals with basic drugs : it details some 800 monographs covering the plant, the animal and the mineral kingdoms.
Volume V, under the title of Aqrabadin (i.e. pharmacopoeia), deals with complex drugs ; 434 formulae are recorded in its part 1 and 162 in part 2. In this volume Ibn Sina describes many galenics like theriacas, electuaries, hieras, syrups, suppositories and sublingual tablets, together with « diachylon » plasters. All these confections were tried by the author who also mentions the expiry date of drugs and recommends their sensible use.
Jazi Radhi, Asli Farouk Omar. La pharmacopée d'Avicenne. Assessing the drain estuaries’ water quality in response to pollution abatement
AbstractTo assess 12 years of pollution abatement efforts in all drain estuaries in Northern Egypt, which discharge to Northern Lakes and the Mediterranean Sea, this paper provides temporal trends in water quality indices from 2002 to 2013. For the estuary of 20 drains: one drain had insufficient data to analyze for trends (Burullus Drain), four drains had significant increase in water quality index (WQI) score (Bahr ElBaqar Drain, Drain No. 1, Tabia Drain and No. 11 Drain), one drain had significant declination in water quality score over the tested time period (Ramsis Drain). While the rest (14 drains) showed insignificant trend in either direction (improving or declining). Water quality fluctuated over that time period. On average, temporal changes in excursions of coliform count from their threshold can explain 83.3% of the temporal variability observed in water quality indicators monitored in all drain estuaries (38.9%%<R2<89.2%). Therefore, the most effective water quality variables among a set of variables affecting the WQI score was total coliform
