It also discusses the author--s belief that South Asian immigrants, while undesirable, are preferable to Japanese, and condemns the act as wholly ineffective in keeping Japanese immigrants out of British Columbia. Nichol complains that the current legislation is not in British Columbia--s best interests. They view Defenders as a fundamental change in the Court\u27s standing jurisprudence, in part because of the symbolism they and their fellow detractors impart to the decision. Iklan VIVO Vibe Little Bunny dalam kampanye VIVO Indonesia #ForEveryFantasy menampilkan Jefri Nichol sebagai brand ambassador untuk mengiklankan produk alat kontrasepsi dari VIVO Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui representasi maskulinitas Jefri Nichol dalam iklan VIVO Vibe Little Bunny pada kampanye VIVO Indonesia #ForEveryFantasy di Instagram dengan analisis semiotika Umberto Eco. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, paradigma konstruktivisme. Teori atau konsep yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah konsep representasi Stuart Hall, maskulinitas John Beynon dan hasil kajian Rohlinger, gaya bahasa (metafora), periklanan, dan media sosial Instagram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Jefri Nichol dalam iklan ini termasuk pada kode maskulinitas "Give `em Hell" berdasarkan maskulinitas John Beynon dan termasuk pria erotis berdasarkan hasil kajian Rohlinger. Hal tersebut ditemukan dari eskpresi dan isi pada tingkat denotasi adalah mengajak audiens untuk bereksperimen bersama pasangan dengan VIVO Vibe Little Bunny. Namun, secara ekspresi (penanda) dan isi (petanda) pada tingkat konotasi berarti berhubungan seksual dengan banyak pasangan dapat menimbulkan realitas mulai dari problem seksual, masalah psikis, serta pandangan buruk dari konteks sosial, budaya, dan agama di Indonesia. Director of the Geochemical Prospecting Research Centre (1954–63) and Applied Geochemistry Research Group (1963–79), and Senior
Research Fellow until 1988 is reviewed. The work began with his recognition of geochemical provinces as the key to location
of areas which might contain mineral deposits, initially recognized in New Brunswick, proven in Zambia and Sierra Leone. The
initial focus of the work was on mineral exploration but, with the passage of time, it broadened to embrace: multi-purpose
geochemical mapping; agricultural and environmental geochemistry; the publishing of pioneering regional geochemical atlases
of Zambia (Webb et al. 1964a), Derbyshire (Nichol et al. 1970b), Denbighshire (Nichol et al. 1970b), Devon and North Cornwall (Nichol et al. 1971), Northern Ireland (Webb et al. 1973) and England and Wales (Webb et al. 1978); applied marine geochemistry (especially the investigation of metalliferous brines and manganese nodules); and urban
geochemistry. Over 100 students have now graduated with higher degrees from the school which Webb began, to apply the techniques
in industry, geological surveys, or to train a new generation of exploration and environmental geochemists around the world.
Sadly, the recognition which he well deserved was much greater abroad than in his home country. Following his retirement,
research in environmental and marine geochemistry continued to prosper for another 20 years.

Galaxy Zoo:chiral correlation function of galaxy spins
No full textGalaxy Zoo is the first study of nearby galaxies that contains reliable information about the spiral sense of rotation of galaxy arms for a sizeable number of galaxies. We measure the correlation function of spin chirality (the sense in which galaxies appear to be spinning) of face-on spiral galaxies in angular, real and projected spaces. Our results indicate a hint of positive correlation at separations less than ~0.5 Mpc at a statistical significance of 2-3 sigma. This is the first experimental evidence for chiral correlation of spins. Within tidal torque theory it indicates that the inertia tensors of nearby galaxies are correlated. This is complementary to the studies of nearby spin axis correlations that probe the correlations of the tidal field. Theoretical interpretation is made difficult by the small distances at which the correlations are detected, implying that substructure might play a significant role, and our necessary selection of face-on spiral galaxies, rather than a general volume-limited sample
