No full textMit ihren Intervetionen dringen Otto Mittmannsgruber und Martin Strauss in einen Bereich des öffentlichen Raums vor, der für gewöhnlich rein kommerziell besetzt ist: in die ebenso makellose wie allgegenwärtige Welt der Werbeplakate. Deren Codes werden dabei einer zweiten Codierung unterzogen, die - durch Überlagerung von Sujets, Fragmentierung von Botschaften und schonungslose Dekonstruktion sorgsam behüteten Corporate Designs - gewohnte Zusammenhänge konterkariert. Die Irritation, die ihre Eingriffe beim Betrachter hervorrufen, regen nichht nur Diskurse über Marketing und Imagebildung an, sondern stehen auch für eine Untersuchung der Wahrnehmung an sich. Diese Publikation, erschienen anlässlich der gleichnamigen Ausstellung im MAK, Wien, dokumentiert die Projekte des Künstlerduos von 1995 bis heute. Mit Textbeiträgen von Peter Noever, Wolfgang ullrich, Otto Mittmannsgruber und Martin Strauss.With their interventions, Otto Mittmannsgruber und Martin Strauss force their way into an area of the public sphere that is purely commercial territory: in the ubiquitous, ever-flawless world of advertising posters. In doing so, they subject the codes of this world to encoding of a second kind, which - througgh the overlapping of subjects, the fragmentation of messages and the merciless deconstruction of carefully safeguarded Corporate Design - has the effect of counteracting the usual associations. The irritation that their interference engenders in the observer not only stimulates discourses on marketing and image building, but also represents an exploration of perception as such.

Acute coronary syndrome associated with Churg-Strauss syndrome

Previous history revealed asthma, chronic sinusitis and eosinophilic proctitis. Electrocardiogram showed anterior ST-segment elevations and inferior ST-segment depression. Immediate heart catheterization revealed a distally occluded left anterior descending coronary artery, the occlusion being reversible after nitroglycerine. Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging was consistent with perimyocarditis. Hypereosinophilia and IgE elevation were present and Churg-strauss syndrome was diagnosed.Keywords: Churg-Strauss syndrome (CSS), carditis, cardiac MR
