Approaches in using Python for image processing
Image processing is an increasingly widespread field in computer science. On the other hand, it is increasingly used both in modern business and in social communication. We will look at image manipulation methods, emphasizing approaches for comparing them. We will offer ways to process images included in popular specialized applications. We emphasize the use of the popular Python programming language, which is becoming more and more popular due to its ease of use and large range of tools. We will look at some of the image processing and analysis libraries used in Python
Application of design patterns in information systems developing
The development of modern business processes has prompted information technology to rapidly build more and more diverse information systems. The development and evolution of information systems requires the allocation of significant resources. The possibility of compromising between the effectiveness, functionality and timing of a project is the use of standard solutions or automated means. A top tool for presenting type solutions is design patterns. There is a wide range of solutions in the design of patterns. We will present a model for their realization in the development of information systems and will define the conditions and the specifics for its implementation. We will define the areas of application of the presented model and the components of the information system with the largest application
Using of additional packages of components for accelerated application development
The application of information technology is embracing a growing part of modern business. This necessitates on the one hand the development of increasingly diverse information systems and the rapid development of products for small and medium-sized businesses. An appropriate approach is to use additional packages for development environments. They help optimize the process of building one or a range of applications with similar functionality. The add-on packages extend the capabilities of the environment by either offering standard capabilities or offering entirely new ones. For some additional packages, the internal integration of the individual components is implemented, which significantly facilitates and accelerates the development of a single application. In the presentation we will present the ideology and principles of using such packages to assist developers
Algorithms for Finding Unitals and Maximal Arcs in Projective Planes of Order 16
The paper has been presented at the International Conference Pioneers of Bulgarian
Mathematics, Dedicated to Nikola Obreshkoff and Lubomir Tschakalo ff , Sofia, July, 2006.Two heuristic algorithms (M65 and M52) for finding respectively
unitals and maximal arcs in projective planes of order 16 are described.
The exact algorithms based on exhaustive search are impractical because of
the combinatorial explosion (huge number of combinations to be checked).
Algorithms M65 and M52 use unions of orbits of di erent subgroups of the
automorphism group of the 273x273 bipartite graph of the projective plane.
Two very efficient algorithms (developed by the author and not described
here) are used in M65 and M52: (i) algorithm VSEPARN for computing
the generators, orbits and order of the graph automorphism group; (ii)
graph isomorphism algorithm derived from VSEPARN. Four properties are
proved and used to speed up the algorithms M65 and M52. The results of
these algorithms are published. After changing only the parameters of these
algorithms they can be used for determining unitals in projective planes of
different orders
Влияние на силимарин и охратоксин А върху хуморалния естествен имунитет при пилета бройлери
The aim of this work was to investigate the effect of Ochratoxin A (OTA) and Silymarin on serum lysozyme concentrations, complement and betalysin activity in broiler chickens. In this experiment 144 one-day-old Ross 308 male broiler chicks were used. All chicks were divided in four groups of 36 birds each: Group 1: Basal diet (BD) with no supplementation of Ochratoxin A (OTA) and Silymarin; Group 2: BD with 1.0% Silymarin; Group 3: BD with 3.0 mg/kg OTA; Group 4: BD with 3.0 mg/kg OTA plus 1.0% Silymarin. It was found that lysozyme concentration in the 2nd group there is a significant difference to groups 3 and 4. The immunosuppressive effect of Ochratoxin A is underlined but no protective effect of Silymarin in the group 4 was found. The alternative pathway of complement activation (APCA) is affected in the group 4. Betalysine there is a significant decreasing in the group 3 but slightly increasing of Betalysine in 4th group. Based on these results it can be concluded that OTA there is an immunosuppressive effect on the studied traits and there is a positive effect of Silymarin only on serum betalysineЦелта на това изследване е да се проучи влиянието на Охратоксин А (ОТА) и Силимарин върху концентрациите на серумния лизоцим, активността на комплемента и бетализина при пилета бройлери.
The spectrum of energy in turbulent shear flow
CER69-70DMK-JEC-SP9.September 1970.Includes bibliographical references (pages 73-74).Prepared for the Office of Naval Research, U.S. Department of Defense, project no. NR 062-414/6-6-68, code 438.The spectrum of energy in isothermal turbulent shear flow at large wave numbers is studied following the phenomenological approach used by Tchen (1953), Hinze (1959), and Panchev (1968, 1969). The considered spectrum equation consists of the dissipation, the transfer, the production, and the diffusion spectrum function. Parametric solutions for the three-dimensional energy spectrum function, E(k) are obtained firstly by using Heisenberg's type of approximations for the transfer function. Much simpler solutions for E(k) are obtained with the modified Obukhov approximation (Ellison 1962). Some closed form solutions for E(k) are derived by using a vorticity approximation concept. It is shown that Tchen's k-l law cannot exist if diffusional effects are taken into account. Computed one - dimensional energy spectra (isotropic relations were used) show good agreement with measurements from the viscous region of a turbulent boundary layer.Under Contract no.
