A miniaturised fetch rover concept for Mars Sample Return
In the context of the NASA/ESA Mars Sample Return (MSR) Campaign a Sample Fetch Rover (SFR) has been studied to acquire sample tubes cached on the surface by NASA's Perseverance rover and return them to the Sample Retrieval Lander (SRL) for launch into Mars orbit. The current SFR design, similar in size to ESA's ExoMars Rover, faced significant challenges in terms of accommodation on the lander. An alternative mini Sample Fetch Rover (mSFR) concept is explored in response to these challenges, aiming at a mass target around 20 kg. The miniaturised rover is assessed against some reduced mission requirements to evaluate its usefulness for MSR. The main areas of the mSFR design are discussed herein, with particular attention to traverse and tube fetching strategy. The study suggests that the concept is feasible and could be accommodated on SRL with minimum impact to the lander's design. Furthermore, preliminary analysis shows how the small vehicle could perform a useful role in MSR, making it particularly attractive as a simple backup to other tube delivery methods. Lastly, future investigations and areas of improvement are suggested

A comprehensive study was carried out towards understanding the different structural aspects of the catalysts and catalysis. A comparison was made between heterogeneous catalysts and homogeneous catalysts reported in previous studies. Single site Pd (II) complexes were covalently tethered on mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) using co-condensation and grafting methods and the resulting catalysts were studies for allylic acetoxylation reaction of alkenes. Nanomaterials made of earth-abundant elements for photovoltaics
Includes illustrations (some color).Includes bibliographical references (pages 61-65).Of the many types of solar cells currently under exploration, multijunction photovoltaics (MJPVs) are of the most interest due to their record-breaking solar energy conversion efficiencies (over 40%). However, MJPV device fabrication is expensive because they require a costly synthesis technique that utilizes rare elements such as gallium, arsenic, and indium. To resolve this issue, our efforts have been focused on the replacement of the thin-film materials currently employed in MJPVs with a more earth-abundant alternative, Zn-alloyed iron pyrite (ZnxFe(1-x)S2). The synthesis of ZnxFe(1-x)S2 nanoparticles is of particular interest because a nanoparticle 'ink' can be inserted into a roll-to-roll processor, which is an inexpensive technique of creating defect-free thin-films for electronics. The first part of this work explores the synthesis of Zn-alloyed iron pyrite nanoparticles via the modification of a solvothermal method from the literature. The nanoparticles generated using this method at first indicated zinc-alloying was successful; yet, further studies into the electronic structure of the particles necessitated the addition of a spin-purification step to ensure only highly soluble particles remained for spin-coating deposition. Compositional and structural analysis of the particles that remained after the additional spin-purification step showed evidence of both the ZnS and FeS2 phases. The second part of this work focuses on the development of an alternative method of generating iron pyrite nanoparticles, which would also eventually be used for zinc-alloying. The two approaches focused on are a hydrothermal method in an acid-digestion bomb and a non-injection solvothermal method in an inert environment. The synthesized particles using these methods were phase-pure and did not contain any detectable quantity of other iron sulfides
Supplementary Materials for: What is Important to the Decision to Disclose Non-Suicidal Self-Injury in Formal and Social Contexts?
Disclosure of Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) is associated with a range of both positive (e.g., help-seeking) and negative (e.g., discrimination) outcomes. The aim of this study was to assess the importance of a range of factors concerned with: NSSI experiences, self-efficacy to disclose self-injury, interpersonal factors, and reasons for or expectations of disclosure, to the decision to disclose self-injury to friends, family members, significant others, and health professionals. Methods: 371 participants with lived experience of NSSI completed a survey in which they rated the importance of the aforementioned factors to the decision of whether to disclose NSSI to different people. A mixed-model ANOVA was conducted to investigate whether the factors differed in importance and if this importance differed across relationship types. Results: All factors held importance, though to differing degrees, with those related to relationship quality being most important overall. Generally, factors relating to tangible aid were considered more important when considering disclosure to health professionals than to other people. Conversely, interpersonal factors, particularly trust, were more important when disclosing to individuals in social or personal relationships. Conclusion: The findings provide preliminary insight into how different considerations may be prioritised when navigating NSSI disclosure, in a way that may be tailored to different contexts. Yoga experiences of New Zealand men
Modern yoga is an activity that is intertwined with notions of transformation, personal growth and the enhancement of the mind, body and spirit. Intrigued by the growing number of men doing yoga in rural New Zealand and also by significant gaps in the academic literature relating to New Zealand men’s yoga experiences, this research aims to shed light on how yoga is experienced by New Zealand male yoga teachers; men that live in the neoliberal present, an era and an ideology that embraces individual freedom, personal responsibility and consumerism.
Using a research framework of narrative inquiry and evocative autoethnography, the study shares the yoga experiences of nine New Zealand male yoga teachers aged between 45 and 70. The stories are presented as unique narrative vignettes that follow the men down their paths with yoga. Through evocative autoethnography I share my experiences with yoga and I share how my yoga experiences are intertwined with a desire to create states of transcendence and union. In addition, I explore how yoga is intertwined with a desire to live simply. The yoga stories provide a lens into the different ways modern yoga is performed and experienced. These ways include helping men to overcome anxiety and depression and to repair broken bodies; yoga as a vehicle for the men to become the best versions of themselves; yoga as a form of healthy ageing; and the performance of yoga as a challenge to hegemonic masculinity. This study gives insights into the diverse ways modern yoga is understood and practiced. Furthermore, it explores how yoga is a mechanism for New Zealand men to care for themselves, to care for others and to care for the Earth. The study highlighted the evolving nature of masculinities and modern yoga in New Zealand society

The Opie Recordings: What’s Left to be Heard?
This chapter presents an analysis of selected recordings from the Opie Collection of Children's Games in the National Sound Archive. It contextualises them with an account of the Opies' research approach, and identifies three themes emerging from the recordings which are not found in published work by the Opies. These are: the strong rleatinoship between children's media cultures and traditional play cultures; more extensive variation of words and music in the singing games; and more extreme examples of obscene and scatological rhymes
Development of a risk prediction model for assessing dental readiness in the Canadian Armed Forces
Introduction
The establishment and sustainment of a high state of dental readiness in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) are the primary missions of the Royal Canadian Dental Corps. The objective of this study was to develop a risk prediction tool to estimate dental readiness in active CAF personnel.
Materials and Methods
The prediction model was developed to predict the classification of non-deployable (yes/no) within 12 months (primary) and 18 months (secondary) using both dental history data (including dental attendance, restorations, root canals, and third molar status) and demographic information. Two cohorts were used for development: a recruit cohort who enrolled between April 2016 and March 2017 and a longer-serving member (LSM) cohort who had their recall dental exam between May 2014 and October 2014. Each group was followed until April 26, 2018. Elastic net logistic regression models were used to create the models. Model performance was evaluated using area under the curve, F1, and the Brier score.
Results
The recruit cohort included 2,828 individuals and the LSM cohort included 2,398 individuals. Overall, the classification of non-deployable occurred in 5.1% of the study population within 12 months and 9.6% of the population within 18 months. The models predicted the outcome with an area under the receiver operating curve of 0.77 in recruits and 0.70 in LSMs.
Conclusion
The prediction model shows potential but its performance and usability could be further improved through the consistent collection of high quality, discretely entered, epidemiological data following standardized diagnostic terminology and coding. A recalibrated and automated version of this model could assist in decision making, resource allocation, and the enhancement of military dental readiness.Department of National Defenc
