She mentions taking a gender studies class at a community college that sparked her interest in the field and discusses being a member of the final cohort to graduate from UW-Madison’s GWS Department’s master’s degree program. Steiger also touches on how current events have impacted how she teaches her classes and the importance of a GWS education. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the GWS @ 50 Oral History Project of the UW-Madison Archives & Records Management oral history collection

    Fish-Eye view of Steiger Tiger III ST450 drawbar test (#1282, 1978) at the Lincoln Airport. The ST450 is towing he Oliver Test Car plus 2 other Steiger units as load tractors. The airport apron area was leased from the Airport Authority for this test because the regular test track was deemed not strong enough for the weight of the Tiger III. The width of this tractor was also exactly the width of the test track on the East Campus, making it extremely difficult to maneuver under test conditions. Its slightly more powerfull brother, the ST 470 was tested in a similar way. Neither tractor model had a PT
