HexMage - Encounter Balancing in Hex Arena
Title: HexMage - Encounter Balancing in Hex Arena Author: Jakub Arnold Department: Department of Software and Computer Science Education Supervisor: Mgr. Jakub Gemrot, Department of Software and Computer Science Education Abstract: Procedural content generation (PCG) is mostly examined in the con- text of map/environment creation, rather than generating the actual game char- acters. The goal of this thesis is to design a turn-based RPG-like game with perfect information for which we can generate balanced encounters. The game consists of a hex-based arena in which two teams fight. Each team consists of a few player controller characters with unique abilities. We generate the attributes of these abilities in order to make the encounter balanced. We will also build an AI that can be used to automatically play-test the PCG algorithm. The goal is to generate an equally strong, but different opponent. Keywords: video games encounter balancing hex arena rpg elements

HexMage - Balancování setkání v hexové aréně
Název práce: HexMage - Balancování setkání v hexové aréně Autor: Jakub Arnold Katedra: Katedra softwaru a výuky informatiky Vedoucí bakalářské práce: Mgr. Assessment of Basic Motor Coordination in Boys and Girls at Primary School Level
Title: Assessment of Basic Motor Coordination in Boys and Girls at Primary School Level Author: Jakub Kubovský Supervisor: Mgr. Jakub Kokštejn, Ph.D. Objectives: The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to determine whether there are differences in the level of basic motor coordination between boys and girls in the first stage of primary school. Methods: Data collection was carried out using the KTK 3+ test battery. A total of 169 pupils from the first stage of primary school were tested, including 87 boys and 82 girls. The average decimal age of all participants was 8.82 years, with boys averaging 9.01 years and girls 8.86 years. In addition, physical parameters such as body height, weight, BMI, and decimal age were recorded. The results were analyzed using the mean, standard deviation, and Hedges' g effect size. Results: The results showed that the differences in motor coordination between boys and girls were not consistent. In the 1st grade, boys performed better in the throwing and catching task (EHC, Hedges' g = 0.74), while girls were slightly more successful in the balance beam walk (Hedges' g = -0.29) and jumping side-to-side (Hedges' g = - 0.23), although these differences were not significant. In the 2nd grade, the differences remained insignificant, with girls showing slightly better results...Název: Hodnocení základní motorické koordinace chlapců a dívek na 1. stupni ZŠ Autor: Jakub Kubovský Vedoucí práce: Mgr. Dále byly zaznamenávány tělesné parametry - tělesná výška, hmotnost, BMI a dekadický věk. Výsledky byly zpracovány pomocí průměru, směrodatné odchylky a velikosti efektu Hedges' g. Nejvýraznější rozdíly přinesl 3. ročník, kde dívky předčily chlapce v chůzi po kladinkách (Hedges'...Katedra sportovních herDepartment of Sport GamesFaculty of Physical Education and SportFakulta tělesné výchovy a sport

Proofs
Title: Proofs Author: Jakub Hofman Department: Department of Mathematics Education Supervisor: RNDr. Jakub Staněk, Ph.D., Department of Mathematics Edu- cation Abstract: This bachelor thesis should clarify the concept of a mathematical proof, briefly describe the individual proof methods and provide examples of proved theorems from various branches of mathematics. Another objective of this thesis is to provide a high school pupil with a study material which with it structure corresponds to mathematical textbooks and lecture notes provided by universities. In the first part of the thesis the basic terms of logic are introduced to the pupil. These are terms a pupil can usually encounter in math classes at school. The knowledge of these terms is essential for understanding the principles of the individual proof methods. The main part of the thesis is focused on explaining the individual proof methods and their application in proving mathematical theorems with di- fficulty appropriate to a pupil of secondary education. The theorems are ordered by the difficulty of their proof; they do not follow from one another nor do they form a coherent mathematical theory as that is not the goal of this thesis. The thesis also contains a list of theorems which a pupil should be ca- pable of proving after being acquainted with..

Numerical modelling of vocal folds
Title: Numerical modelling of vocal folds Author: Mgr. Bc. Jakub Michálek Department: Geophysics Department Supervisor: RNDr. Jakub Velímský, Ph. D., Geophysics Department Abstract: I created a 2D model of vocal fold oscillations driven by interaction with fluid flow (FSI model). I used the theory of finite strains of the structure. The flow was modelled as a viscous incompressible fluid. The numerical problem was solved by the finite element method (FEM) with the arbitrary Lagrangian- Eulerian (ALE) method. The model shows the regime before phonation without the contact of the vocal folds and the states that directly lead to the contact of the vocal folds. I compared the time dependence of the quantities measured at sensors attached to the folds. I measured the frequency characteristics and compared the results with the modal analysis. Consequently, I calculated a parametric study of the dependence of the oscillations on the inlet air velocity, the original distance of the vocal folds and the elasticity of the vocal folds. The parametric study confirms that a sufficient increase of the inlet air velocity and a sufficient constriction of the glottis lead to the phonation onset. The parametric study also shows that changing elastic parameters has a similar effect on the spectrum for both the FSI model and the modal..
