Diessbach a Milano (1785)
No full textIn June 1785 the French nun Marie Eugénie de Bayanne, who was a French teacher in the school of the Visitation nunnery of Saint Sofia in Milan, asked for Nickolaus Diessbach, ex-Jesuit and founder of "Amicizie cristiane", as spiritual director. Archbishop Filippo Visconti refused and turned to the Government to receive some help against that instance. This affair shows the growing fear that around Diessbach it existed a web of different high level relationships, hidden and potentially "dangerous". The final and more conciliatory attitude of Emperor Joseph II is due to the importance of the nun's role. This event, ignored by the bibliography about Diessbach, adds a new element to the wide political and religious context of Milan at the and of XVIII centur

Sustainable flood management in Selška Sora catchment with ecoremediation
No full textV diplomskem delu je predstavljeno poplavno ogroženo porečje Selške Sore, kjer so se v
zadnjih 19-ih letih zvrstile že štiri katastrofalne poplave. Zadnje, najbolj uničujoče so bile
leta 2007. Nadaljnje klimatske spremembe in človekovi posegi v naravo bodo pogostost in
učinek poplav še povečali. Zato je že danes potrebno razmišljati o zagotavljanju sonaravne
in trajnostne poplavne varnosti, ki bo omogočala varno bivanje s poplavami.
Tako smo predstavili naravnogeografske in družbenogeografske značilnosti porečja, ki
igrajo pomembno vlogo na poplavnem območju Selške Sore. Predvideli smo trajnostno
poplavno varnost na primeru pritoka Selške Sore, Luše. Uporaba ekoremediacij (ERM) za
poplavno varnost zagotavlja ekološko sprejemljivejše ureditve, naravnejše stanje vodnega
okolja in hkrati zmanjšuje nevarnost pred hudourniškimi poplavami.
Menimo, da bi s trajnostnimi in celovitimi pristopi v porečju bistveno zmanjšali učinke
visokih voda. Danes je stanje ravno nasprotno, zaradi regulacij in ureditev v sami strugi in
ne v porečju, Selška Sora s pritoki močno poplavlja.The diploma thesis deals with the flood threatened river basin of Selška Sora, where four
catastrophic floods have occurred in the last 19 years. The last ones, the most destructive,
are dated in 2007. Further climatic changes and human intervention will increase the
number and the effect of floods. That is also the reason to begin with sustainable
development in safety to ensure safe cohabitation with floods.
The physical- and sociogeographical characteristics of the river basin that play a significant
role on the flood area of Selška Sora are presented. We have predicted a sustainable flood
safety management on the case of Luša, tributary of Selška Sora. The use of
ecoremediation for flood management ensures ecologically acceptable regulations, the
natural state of water system and decreases the risk of flash flood.
We believe that a sustainable accession in the basin the high water effects could be
decreased. The recent state is contrary and Selška Sora and its tributaries still flood due to
different regulations of the stream channel instead of the basin itself

modelem zarządzania ryzykiem w lotach wykonywanych przez bezzałogowe statki
powietrzne i spełnia wymagania zawarte w rozporządzeniu wykonawczym Komisji
(UE) 2019/947. Zaprezentowano koncepcję metody i przedstawiono ogólny
przebieg procesu SORA. Wskazano załączniki A, B, C, D i E w których znajdują się
szczegóły dotyczące poszczególnych kroków procedury. Metoda ma zalety, ale
również wady i ograniczenia. Przeprowadzono analizę cech i funkcjonalności
metody SORA, co pozwoliło na sformułowanie oceny użyteczności metody.The SORA (Specific Operations Risk Assessment) method is a risk
management model for flights performed by unmanned aerial vehicles and meets
the requirements of the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947. The
concept of the method was presented and the general course of the SORA process
was presented. Annexes A, B, C, D and E are indicated which contain details of the
individual steps of the procedure. The method has advantages, but also
disadvantages and limitations. An analysis of the features and functionality of the
SORA method was carried out, which allowed for the formulation of the method
utility assessment
Polysynthesis in Sora (Munda) with Special Reference to Noun Incorporation
No full textThe Munda language Sora, an Austroasiatic language, has a developed system of noun incorporation. One can always distinguish a structure with incorporation from one that lacks this as the nominal component that is found incorporated into the Sora verbal stem appears in the so-called ‘combining form’ (CF). This CF contrasts with an obligatorily bimoraic syntactically free-standing form of the noun that is lexically associated with the CF, derived through a lexically-determined means of affixation or compounding that includes reduplication, prefixation, infixation, and compounding. Only certain incorporated structures in Sora reduce the valence of the resulting structure, while others do not. Sora is also among the few languages attested that permits verbal constructs with more than one noun incorporated. In Sora a transitive verb may also incorporate its agent argument. Further, these incorporated stems remain transitive in Sora: they allow for the formal indexing of objects as well within in the incorporated complex.</p

Other important aspects investigated are those concerning the nuns' relationships with the political power and the analysis of religious practices and cultural aspects. No full textSora (Porzana carolina) is a conspecific brood parasite that also occasionally parasitizes nests of other species. Sora parasitism in nests of passerines is rare. Of 129 Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) nests found in North Dakota in 2009 and 2010, two (1.6%) were parasitized by Soras. The conditions favouring this rare parasitic behaviour may include competition for nest sites and high Sora density
MeSH term explosion and author rank improve expert recommendations
No full textInformation overload is an often-cited phenomenon that reduces the productivity, efficiency and efficacy of scientists. One challenge for scientists is to find appropriate collaborators in their research. The literature describes various solutions to the problem of expertise location, but most current approaches do not appear to be very suitable for expert recommendations in biomedical research. In this study, we present the development and initial evaluation of a vector space model-based algorithm to calculate researcher similarity using four inputs: 1) MeSH terms of publications; 2) MeSH terms and author rank; 3) exploded MeSH terms; and 4) exploded MeSH terms and author rank. We developed and evaluated the algorithm using a data set of 17,525 authors and their 22,542 papers. On average, our algorithms correctly predicted 2.5 of the top 5/10 coauthors of individual scientists. Exploded MeSH and author rank outperformed all other algorithms in accuracy, followed closely by MeSH and author rank. Our results show that the accuracy of MeSH term-based matching can be enhanced with other metadata such as author rank
