10. Simulium (Gomphostilbia) jerantutense Takaoka, Sofian-Azirun & Ya’cob, 2014 Simulium (Gomphostilbia) jerantutense Takaoka, Sofian-Azirun & Ya’cob, 2014b: 477–479 (Female and pupa). This species was described by Takaoka et al. (2014b). Its male and larva remain unknown. It is tentatively placed in the S. binuanense subgroup, although the relative length and thickness of the two filaments of the ventral pair are subequal to each other. It is characterized by the female short claw tooth 0.46 times the length of the claw, and pupal gill filaments arranged as [2+1+(1+2)]+2 filaments from dorsal to ventral. The pupae and larvae of this species were collected from lowland streams in Pahang.Published as part of Takaoka, Hiroyuki, Ya'Cob, Zubaidah & Sofian-Azirun, Mohd, 2018, Classification, annotated list and keys for the black flies (Diptera: Simuliidae) of Peninsular Malaysia, pp. 1-65 in Zootaxa 4498 (1) on page 13, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4498.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/145913

7. Simulium (Gomphostilbia) roslihashimi Takaoka & Sofian-Azirun, 2011 Simulium (Gomphostilbia) roslihashimi Takaoka et al., 2011b: 55 –63 (Female, male, pupa and larva). This species was described from females, males, pupae and larvae (Takaoka et al., 2011b). It is characterized by the male antenna almost entirely yellow. This species is widely distributed throughout the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia. The aquatic stages were found in small streams at low to high elevations (159–1,316 m) in Cameron Highlands and in other areas of the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia (Ya’cob et al., 2016a, b).Published as part of Takaoka, Hiroyuki, Ya'Cob, Zubaidah & Sofian-Azirun, Mohd, 2018, Classification, annotated list and keys for the black flies (Diptera: Simuliidae) of Peninsular Malaysia, pp. 1-65 in Zootaxa 4498 (1) on page 12, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4498.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/145913

This species was described from females, males, pupae and larvae collected from Tioman Island (Takaoka et al., 2012b). It is characterized in the female by the claw with a minute subbasal projection, and in the pupa by the gill filaments divergent at an angle of 90 degrees or slightly more. The pupae and larvae were collected from a small lowland stream (width 0.2–0.3 m, water temperature 25̊C, shaded) slowly flowing in a forest, Tioman Island.Published as part of Takaoka, Hiroyuki, Ya'Cob, Zubaidah & Sofian-Azirun, Mohd, 2018, Classification, annotated list and keys for the black flies (Diptera: Simuliidae) of Peninsular Malaysia, pp. 1-65 in Zootaxa 4498 (1) on page 60, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4498.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/145913
