Active in mid-fifteenth-century Florence, he was an architect, theorist, and author of texts on perspective and painting. Leon Battista Alberti: On Painting is a cardinal work that revolutionized Western art. In this volume Rocco Sinisgalli presents a new English translation and critical examination of Alberti's seminal text. Dr Sinisgalli reverses the received understanding of the relationship between the Italian and Latin versions of Alberti's treatise by demonstrating that Alberti wrote it first in Italian and then translated it into a polished Latin over the course of several decades. This volume is richly illustrated to help demonstrate how Alberti understood optics and art.</jats:p

Perspektywa Kościoła, jako Mistycznego Ciała, została ukazana przez Emila Merscha w kluczu Jezusa Chrystusa. Właściwie rozumiana eklezjologia znajduje swoje uzasadnienie w chrystologii. Życie i działanie Kościoła winny upodabniać się do życia i działania Jezusa Chrystusa. Autor artykułu prezentuje powyższe zagadnienia w czterech blokach tematycznych: 1. Tożsamość Kościoła w Jezusie Chrystusie; 2. Eklezjologia odczytywana w kluczu chrystologii; 3. Widzialny i duchowy porządek Mistycznego Ciała; 4. Mistyczne Ciało miejscem przebóstwienia człowieka.The Triune God becomes the sense of the man, while the Church appears as a historical extension of the redemptive act of Christ. The perspective of the Church as the Mystical Body has been shown by Emile Mersch in the key of Jesus Christ. Ecclesiology properly understood is justified in christology. The life and activity of the Church must be conformed to life and work of Jesus Christ. The article presents the above questions in four thematic blocks: 1. Identity of the Church in Jesus Christ; 2. Ecclesiology read in the key of christology; 3. Visible and spiritual order of the Mystical Body; 4. Mystical Body as the place of man's deification

No full textWłoski teolog Severino Dianich poświęcił zagadnieniom eklezjologicznym wiele pu-blikacji. Znaczna część dotyczy komunijnego wymiaru Kościoła w kluczu przepowiadania. Przepowiadanie stanowi wydarzenie, które daje chronologiczny początek Kościołowi i jednocześnie dynamizuje jego rozwój. Dianich proponuje formułę: „Kościół urzeczywistnia przepowiadanie i przepowiadanie tworzy Kościół”. Kościół jako komunia może odpowiedzieć na jedno z zasadniczych pytań człowieka dotyczących możliwości poznania i zjednoczenia z Bogiem. Wcielenie Syna Bożego pozwala pokonać dysonans między Bogiem a człowiekiem i jednocześnie wypełnić lukę w koncepcji komunii z Bogiem według Starego Testamentu. Autor artykułu prezentuje powyższe zagadnienia w czterech punktach: istotne uściślenia; primum principium; perspektywa communio, ku podsumowaniu.Italian theologian Severino Dianich devoted many publications to the ecclesiological question. A significant part concerns the Communion of the Church in the key dimension of the preaching. Preaching is an event that gives a chronological beginning of the Church and at the same time a more dynamic development. Dianich proposes a formula”: “The Church realizes preaching and preaching makes the Church”. The Church as communion can answer on the one of the fundamental human questions regarding the possibility of cognition and union with God. The Incarnation of the Son of God overcomes the dissonance between God and man. At the same time it helps to fill a loophole in the concept of communion with God according to the Old Testament. The essay is divided into two parts: the first is devoted to the base of the equestrian monument of Niccolò III d'Este, traditionally attributed to Leon Battista Alberti, and that the author instead correlates with the pro-Byzantine environments that revolved around the Este court. The second part of the paper focuses on the various phases of the work of radical reorganization of the court palace undertaken by Ercole I d'Este in 1471 and here for the first time reconstructed in detail
