Neohydatothrips John There are 112 species listed in this Thripidae-Sericothripinae. The type species, N. latereostriatus John was described from Brazil, but other members of the genus are found widely around the world. Within the Sericothripinae, members of this genus can be recognized by the metasternum connected in the middle with a T-shaped or Y-shaped apodeme.Published as part of Patidar, Abhishek, Singha, Devkant, Kumar, Vikas & Tyagi, Kaomud, 2022, A new species of Psephenothrips (Thysanoptera: Phlaeothripidae) with one new record from India, pp. 440-444 in Zootaxa 5159 (3) on page 443, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.5159.3.8, http://zenodo.org/record/678186

    Podothrips Hood
There are 31 species listed in this genus (ThripsWiki 2020), with identification keys provided by Ritchie (1974) and Dang et al. (2019), and 10 species recorded from India (Tyagi & Kumar 2016). Seshadri and Ananthakrishnan (1954) described Podothrips bicolor from grasses in India, and this species has been reported subsequently from China (Dang et al. 2019). The number of sense cones on antennal segment IV has been used to distinguish species in this genus, but we have recognised variation in these structures amongst specimens from India, as discussed below.
Published as part of Tyagi, Kaomud, Singha, Devkant, Chakraborty, Rajasree, Pakrashi, Avas & Kumar, Vikas, 2020, A new species of Apelaunothrips (Thysanoptera: Phlaeothripidae) from India with new synonym of Podothrips sasacola Kurosawa, pp. 196-200 in Zootaxa 4751 (1) on page 198, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4751.1.14, http://zenodo.org/record/3711764</a&gt
