Generalization of Q-apostol-type eulerian numbers and polynomials, and their interpolation functions
In a recent paper [16], generating functions in terms of non-negative real parameters, q-Eulerian type polynomials and numbers (or q-Apostol type Frobenius-Euler numbers and polynomials) have been constructed by Y. Simsek. Additionally, some identities for these polynomials and numbers based on the generating functions and functional equations have been derived. Finally, a multiplication formula for the generalized Apostol type Frobenius-Euler polynomials has been given. In this paper, as a continuing study of [16], we will essentially present generalizations of the above material and, differently from aforementioned paper, we will express the interpolation functions related to these numbers and polynomials
On the generating functions and special functions associated with superoscillations
The aim of this paper is to study generating functions for the coefficients of the classical superoscillatory function associated with weak measurements. We also establish some new relations between the superoscillatory coefficients and many well-known families of special polynomials, numbers, and functions such as Bernstein basis functions, the Hermite polynomials, the Stirling numbers of second kind, and also the confluent hypergeometric functions. Moreover, by using generating functions, we are able to develop a recurrence relation and a derivative formula for the superoscillatory coefficients

Communication meets engineers: the Politecnico experience
Communication theory can have a strong impact in engineers’ activities and therefore deserve a place in technical university curricula. This is the lesson learned at Politecnico di Milano (Italy), on the Como campus, in which courses on communication are professed, with fruitful results. The paper will “tell the story” of how communication courses were introduced in the curricula of “Information Technology” and “Management” engineers, from the beginning in 1999 (when the elective course “Sociology of communication” was introduced) to the creation, in 2003, of a “Laurea Specialistica” (equivalent to a Master in Anglo-Saxon countries) in “Computer Engineering” with an emphasis on communication
Theatre and civic life in Laodikeia on the Lykos
The inscriptions presented in the article, from the theatres of Laodikeia on the Lykos in southeastern Phrygia (modern district of Denizli/Türkiye), offer a very detailed picture of the civic functions that took place in these monuments. In particular, this study focuses on the texts from the western theatre, which came to light during excavations carried out in 2016-2020 and was restored in 2020-2021. They include votive and honorary dedications to emperors and benefactors, lists of names, artists’ signatures and especially dedications on parts of the structure (the thorakeion and other architectural elements) by citizens who held public office, including their tribal affiliation. The larger northern theatre, excavated between 2008 and 2009, also presents an abundance of inscriptions, either on the seating level or backrests, which demonstrate the presence of guilds as well as citizens from nearby communities. The set of inscriptions from both theatres paints a vivid and lively picture of civic life in one of the most important cities of Asia Minor during the Imperial Age of Rome. In this society, theatres truly did...take centre stage. A Survey on Nikodým and Vitali-Hahn-Saks Properties
[EN] Let ba(A) be the Banach space of the real (or complex) finitely additive measures of bounded variation defined on an algebra A of subsets of Omega and endowed with the variation norm. . A subset B of A is a Nikod ́ym set for ba(A) if each B-pointwise bounded
subset M of ba(A) is uniformly bounded on A and B is a strong Nikod´ym set for ba(A) if each increasing covering (Bm)1
m=1 of B contains a Bn which is a Nikod´ym set for ba(A). If, additionally, the Nikod´ym subset B verifies that the sequential B-pointwise convergence in ba(A) implies weak convergence then B has the Vitali-Hahn-Saks property, (VHS ) in brief, and B has the strong
(VHS ) property if for each increasing covering (Bm)1m=1 of B there exists Bq that has (VHS ) property
Motivated by Valdivia result that every -algebra has strong Nikod´ym property and by his 2013 open question concerning that
if Nikod´ym property in an algebra of subsets implies strong Nikod´ym property we survey this Valdivia theorem and we get that in
a strong Nikod´ym set the (VHS ) property implies the strong (VHS ) property.Research supported for the second named author by Grant PGC2018-094431-B-I00 of Ministry of Science, Innovation & Universities of Spain.López Alfonso, S.; López-Pellicer, M.; Mas Marí, J. Recurrence relations, associated formulas, and combinatorial sums for some parametrically generalized polynomials arising from an analysis of the Laplace transform and generating functions
The aim of this paper is to obtain some interesting infinite series representations for the Apostol-type parametrically generalized polynomials with the aid of the Laplace transform and generating functions. In particular, by using the method of generating functions, we derive not only recurrence relations, but also several other formulas, identities, and relations as well as combinatorial sums for these parametrically generalized numbers and polynomials and for other known special numbers and polynomials. These identities, relations and combinatorial sums are related to the two-parameter types of the Apostol-Bernoulli polynomials of higher order, the two-parameter types of Apostol-Euler polynomials of higher order, the two-parameter types of Apostol-Genocchi polynomials of higher order, the Apostol-Bernoulli polynomials of higher order, the Apostol-Euler polynomials of higher order, the Apostol-Genocchi polynomials of higher order, the cosine- and sine-Bernoulli polynomials, the cosine- and sine-Euler polynomials, the lambda-array-type polynomials, the lambda-Stirling numbers, the polynomials C-n(x,y)Cn(x,y), and the polynomials S-n(x,y)Sn(x,y). Finally, we present several new recurrence relations for these special polynomials and numbers.Scientific Research Project Administration of the University of AkdenizThe author Y. Spatially-localized time dependent solutions including turbulence and their interactions in 2D Kolmogorov flow
In 2D Kolmogorov flow in small aspect ratio domains, spatially-localized solutions such as kink, traveling or time-dependent kink-antikink pars coexist. However, the conservation of the flow rate in the y direction strongly restrict combination of localized solutions and their positioning. We find that by adding a homogeneous flow U y their positioning is controlled and each of localized solutions including a spatially-localized chaos is isolated. Numerical results suggest that these isolated solutions can be elements constructing a whole flow
Characteristics of overlap region in high-Reynolds number turbulent channel flow
Direct numerical simulation of the fully developed turbulent channel flows have been carried out at the Reynolds number based on the friction velocity and the channel half width, 2000, 4000 and 8000. A hybrid 10th order accurate finite difference scheme in the stream and spanwise directions, and a second-order scheme in the wall-normal direction is adapted as the spatial discretization method. We observed the plateau profiles in the indicator function corresponded to the von Karman constant. Furthermore, second peak of streamwise pre-multiplied spectra were appeared in the same wall normal height, 300 < y+ < 600, in case of Re = 4000. Nevertheless, the effects of the lager than the channel half height scale on the streamwise turbulent intensity are fixed contributions without dependence on Reynolds number. These results suggested that the new streamwise vortexes are formed between buffer layer and outer layer with increasing of Reynolds number
