The phenomenon of information and communication technology distortion has negative impact such as spread of hoax and hate speech in the community that can divide our society. According to this phenomenon, Government has issued regulations in the form of the ITE Law and regulations related to digital space. However, in its development, institutions are needed in order to information disseminate related to digital media literacy and education to the public. This promptedthe Riau Provincial Government to form Forum Pengembang Komunikasi Informasi dan Edukasi Generasi Muda Provinsi Riau (FPKIE GMR). This research aims to determine the communication patterns of Forum Pengembang Komunikasi Informasi dan Edukasi Generasi Muda Provinsi Riau (FPKIE GMR) in the dissemination of public information. This research uses Lasswell Communication Model. This study used descriptive qualitative research methods and data collection was obtained through structured interviews, observation and documentation. Data was analyzed by the data collection, data reduction, display of data, and the retraction of the conclusions. The results showed that the communication patterns used was two-way (interactional) communication. Dissemination of public information is carried out through two methods, face to face and through the media. Face to face information dissemination is carried out by socialization through to areas in Riau Province and through the media information dissemination is carried out by various types of media, such as Zoom Meeting, Google Meet, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.AbstrakFenomena penyimpangan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah mengakibatkan dampak negatif seperti penyebaran informasi palsu dan ujaran kebencian yang dapat memecah belah masyarakat.
