Research on the Similarities between the Plot of Ji Chun Tai and Content of Sichuan Opera

    No full text
Ji Chun Tai is the masterpiece of Sichuan dialect on late Qing Dynasty, composed of 40 vernacular short stories. It is divided into four parts, namely, Yuan Ji, Heng Ji, Li Ji, and Zhen Ji. Each part contains ten short stories. The author of Ji Chun Tai is a literator from Zhong Jiang who failed in imperial examination System in late Qing Dynasty. There are a large number of Sichuan Opera elements in those forty vernacular short stories. Generally speaking, the plot of Ji Chun Tai is full of ups and downs, together with relatively concentrated conflicts, which reflects the characteristics of Sichuan opera. Besides, the thought of persuasion and punishment, strong superstitious color, and detective story in Ji Chui Tai are combined together to reflect the characteristics of Sichuan Opera

Stable Configuration of a Li-Ion Series Battery Pack Based on a Screening Process for Improved Voltage/SOC Balancing

    No full text
Differences in electrochemical characteristics among Li-ion cells inevitably result in state-of-charge (SOC) imbalance when the existing voltage balancing technique is used. This paper presents a new approach based on a screening process for improved voltage/SOC balancing of a Li-ion series battery pack. Two kinds of screening processes, capacity screening and resistance screening, are implemented in an orderly manner. The capacity screening process matches open-circuit voltage (OCV)-SOC relation for achievement of voltage/SOC balancing. In the resistance screening process, pulse-type discharging/charging currents are applied to various SOC points to select the cells with similar voltage variance. Through two screening processes, the cells that have similar electrochemical characteristics are finally selected, and can be used for stable configuration of a Li-ion series battery pack. The proposed screening process has been validated by extensive experimental results and SOC estimation results based on extended Kalman filter.N

The political role of the people's liberation army 1949-1973

This thesis is to study the political role of the People's Liberation Army from the approach of structure and function. The framework of the thesis consists of three major parts, first, the influence of Chinese traditional political culture on, and the formation of, the political role of the PL A; second, the influence of domestic political struggles and external military conflicts on the development of the political role of the PLA; and the third, the analysis of the transition of the PLA's political role from the structure and personnel arrangements of the CCPCC Within the above-mentioned three scopes, this thesis make a thorough discussion on the following: (1) The relationship between the structure of the PRC and the formation of the PLA's political role; (2) How has ideology influenced the army's political role; (3) What is Mao's viewpoint and his influence on the development of the army's political role; (4) What is the link between the army and the party, and how has this developed; (6) What accounts for the expansion of the PLA's political functions; (7) What is the influence of political factional struggles on the PLA's political role; (8) Is it political institution or military institution that controls the recruitment of the military elite; (9) What are the disparities between the military elite in handling international conflicts and what are their political considerations; (10) What is the Party's position in the army; (11) How have the Party’s important meetings and personnel arrangements influenced the rise and fall of the PLA's political role

Synthesis of L-glucose and L-galactose derivatives from D-sugars

    No full text
An efficient route to prepare L-glucose and L-galactose is described. The L-sugars are achieved by using the strategy of switching the functional groups at C1 and C5 of D-glucose and D-mannose. The oxidation and reduction of the silyl enol ether at C1 and the lead(IV) tetraacetate mediated oxidative decarboxylation at C5 are the key steps. L-Glucose and L-galactose are prepared in a convenient and inexpensive way. (C) 2014 Shu-Chun Li and Zhong-Jun Li. Published by Elsevier B.V. on behalf of Chinese Chemical Society.
