The Tweed Museum of Art is proud to feature two exceptional exhibitions. The official opening will kick off with a reception on Thursday, October 22 from 6 to 8 pm and will feature a couple of short live performances of a music score created by Washington, D.C.-based composer Andrew Simpson, at 6:30 and 7:15 p.m. The first exhibition highlights Windows, a new site-specific, multi-disciplinary installation created by Sharon Louden. This solo exhibition brings together sculpture, paintings, and music. Windows consists of clear acetate drawings; bright, thin, mirror-like sheets of aluminum; and colored aluminum attached to the walls. On view from October 22, 2015 - May 29, 2016. The other happening is a solo exhibition of seventeen paintings by New York artist Robert Minichiello entitled Spontaneous Acts. Minichiello is best known for large paintings of psychological interiors envisioned as short stories painted on unstretched, unprimed canvas. On display at Tweed October 22 - December 31, 2015.Tweed Museum of ArtUniversity of Minnesota Duluth. Tweed Museum of Art; Louden, Sharon; Minichiello, Robert; Simpson, Andrew. (2015).
