The polyphonic nature of the novel by M. Goretski “Vilenskiya Communary” (1931–1932)
Get PDFУ гэтым артыкуле даследуецца апавядальная структура рамана М. Гарэцкага “Віленскія камунары” (1931–1932). Выказваецца меркаванне пра наяўнасць двайной падзейнасці ў творы – падзеі, якую перажыў сам аўтар, і той, якую стварыў непасрэдна ў рамане. Аналізуецца пазіцыя аўтара, раскрываецца змест вобраза галоўнага героя Мацея Мышкі, вызначаецца наяўнасць “дзвюх свядомасцей” у рамане – “свядомасці героя” і “свядомасці аўтара”, што дазваляе больш глыбока адчуць не толькі галоўную ідэю твора, але і гістарычны кантэкст. У артыкуле падкрэсліваецца ўніверсальнасць стылю М. Гарэцкага. Наяўнасць гэтых асаблівасцей паэтыкі прыводзіць да меркавання аб поліфанічнай прыродзе рамана “Віленскія камунары”. Гэты артыкул сцвярджае аргументаваную неабходнасць адысці ад традыцыйнага погляду на раман як гістарычны раман-хроніку і абгрунтаваць новую пазіцыю: раман М. Гарэцкага “Віленскія камунары” – поліфанічны раман. = This article explores the narrative structure of the novel by M. Goretski “Vilenskiya Communary” (1931–1932). An assumption is made of the presence of double events in the masterpiece, events which the author himself witnessed and those which he created in the novel. The position of the author is analyzed, the meaning of the image of the central character Mathew is disclosed, presence of “two consciousnesses’ is found out – “the consciousness of the hero’ and the “consciousness of the author” that allows us to feel deeper not only the main idea of the work but also historical context. The article stresses the universality of M. Goretski’s style. These peculiarities of the poetics result in the idea of the polyphonic nature of the novel “Vilenskiya Communary”. The article states the argumented necessity to deviate from the traditional idea of the novel as a historical novel – chronicle and give grounds for a new position: the novel by M. Goretski. “Vilenskiya Communary” is a polyphonic novel

Get PDFThe biography of Alexander Mikhailovich Mazuritskiy, a prominent Russian librarian, teacher, manager of library education, is discussed. In 1973, upon the graduation from the Moscow State Institute of Culture (MSIC), Mazuritsky took a job at Lenin State Library of the USSR, then he worked as an instructor for the State Republican Juvenile Library. In 1977, he started work at Moscow State Institute of Culture Library, and took the post-graduate program at the Institute. In 1982, A. Mazuritsky defended his candidate’s thesis and became a lecturer. In 1984, he became the associate dean, and in 1993 – the dean of the MSIC Library Department. The author discusses the key research works by A. Mazuritsky on the various aspects of the library history in the WWII period, and analyzes in brief the contents and conceptual conclusions. In 2007, A. Mazuritsky defended his doctoral thesis in pedagogy. The author characterizes the contents and importance of his doctoral paper. He gives credits to Mazuritsky’s effort as a manager of MSIC authority departments. The principles of Mazuritsky’s scholar school are discussed; his followers and students who completed dissertation, are named.В статье освещается биография Александра Михайловича Мазурицкого – видного российского библиотековеда, педагога, руководителя в сфере библиотечного образования. Показаны основные аспекты его деятельности. В 1973 г., после окончания Московского государственного института культуры (МГИК), А. М. Мазурицкий работал в Государственной библиотеке СССР им. В. И. Ленина. Служил методистом в Государственной республиканской юношеской библиотеке. В 1977 г. он начал работать в библиотеке МГИК, стал соискателем в аспирантуру. В 1982 г. Александр Михайлович защитил кандидатскую диссертацию, в том же году начал преподавать во МГИК. С 1984 г. – заместитель декана, а с 1993 г. – декан библиотечного факультета МГИК. Перечислены основные научно-исследовательские труды А. М. Мазурицкого, посвящённые разнообразным аспектам истории библиотечного дела периода Великой Отечественной войны. Кратко проанализированы их основное содержание и концептуальные выводы. В 2007 г. А. М. Мазурицкий успешно защитил диссертацию на соискание учёной степени доктора педагогических наук. Дана краткая характеристика содержания и значения диссертации. Отмечены его заслуги как руководителя различных управленческих структур МГИК. Названы принципы сформировавшейся научной школы А. М. Мазурицкого, а также имена его защитившихся учеников и последователей

CURSES AS A UKRAINIAN CULTURAL TRADITION
Get PDFCurses constitute a significant part of cultural life of the Ukrainian people. This study aims to analyze curses as a Ukrainian cultural tradition and trace their roots. The author suggests that all curses can be divided at least in three groups: curses which are closely associated with the country’s culture, traditions, customs, history, mythology, superstitions and religion; curses that have no specific cultural root; «tricky» curses used for playful purposes. Almost all curses are context-dependent. The article argues that the major sociocultural functions of curses are pedagogical or didactic, therapeutic and regulative. It is also shown that nowadays curses continue to be used in all spheres of life.ORCID: http://orcid.org/0000-0003-2206-016

У даследаванні сцвярджаецца, што абраная жанравая форма драматычнай паэмы дала аўтару вялікую магчымасць не толькі глыбока раскрыць вобраз галоўнага героя, але і выкарыстаць вялікі мастацкі патэнцыял у асэнсаванні вузлавых, паваротных момантаў гісторыі нацыі, у раскрыцці ідэйнага канфлікту паміж асноўнымі дзеючымі персанажамі, у характарыстыцы чалавечай існасці і паглыбленні ў псіхалогію людзей. = This scientific article deals with the dramatic poem by M. Tank “Mikalai Dvornikau”. The main focus is put on genre specificity of the dramatic work, on constant address of M. Tank to historical and heroic personality. We emphasize the conflict framework of the poem; interpret the nature and acts of the characters. The study admits that the chosen genre form of the dramatic poem gives the author a possibility not only to reveal the image of the main character, but also to use large literary potential in understanding of the key turning points in the national history, in disclosure of ideological conflict between the main characters, human character reference and deepening into men’s psychology
