Study for the computational resolution of conservation equations of mass, momentum and energy
The study done in this paper consists in the resolution of the conservationequations that describe fluid dynamics,applied to specific engineering problems. Moreover, this resolution requires the implementation of the previous equationsintoa C++ codeentirely made by the author of the work.The study is structured in two mainparts:the first part gathers all the mathematical and computational tools developed in order to solve the different problems. The second part explains the resolution and verification of the code applied to specific problems.What is sought in the development of this work is a deeper comprehension of the mass, momentum and energy conservation equations as well as the development of a solid procedure to solve a fluid dynamics problem: the problem statement, the definition of the physical phenomena using the conservation equations, the discretization of these equations and the implementation of a C++ code able to simulate the phenomena.The diversity of the problems proposed includes the resolution of a pure conduction case, a convection-diffusion equation, a forced convection flow, a natural convection flow and a flow around a solid object. Moreover, the purpose of this work is to develop a procedure to solve Navier-Stokes equations in a laminar regime. The resolution of these cases allows us to gradually treat and verify the discretization of the diffusive,convective and time-dependent terms to finally couple them in the Navier-Stokes equatio
Seasons in the Russian-language writing of the Udmurt poet V. Ar-Sergi
The article is devoted to the study of the semantics of the seasons in the Russian-language poetry of the Udmurt poet and prose writer V. Ar-Sergi. The relevance of this work is caused by the fact that today artistic texts of national authors require a holistic conceptual analysis, since they are strongly influenced by Russian literature, which in turn affects their ethnocultural identity. The issue of preserving, strengthening and developing national language in the multilingual space of the Russian Federation is acute. The author undertook an analytical review of the problem on the material of the Ar-Sergi Russian-language poetry. During the study, traditional methods of literary research (quantitative, structural-semiotic, comparison and collation, method of holistic text analysis) were used. Both traditionally mythological and individual authorial realia associated with the perception of calendar natural changes are reflected in the poetic texts of Ar-Sergi. The degree of their semantic connectedness with traditional canons of Udmurt culture is determined. Comprehension of the natural passage of time is closely intertwined with the emotional and psychological plan of the works. The natural landscape axiologically becomes a theme for constant artistic reflection in the poetry of Ar-Sergi. The lexical units from the lexico-semantic group “seasons” have not only a certain temporal semantic load but also denote the internal emotional state of the lyric subject in the poetic texts of the Udmurt poet. The attention of the author is turned not only on his own worldview but also folk-mythological contexts of the whole ethnic group
Ironia i metadiscurs en el teatre català actual, a propòsit d'Elsa Schneider, de Sergi Belbel
This article has as its goal to analyze the dramatic text «Elsa Schneider» (1987), by Sergi Belbel, starting from the concept of irony of contrast between text and context of communication. This ironic resource is conveyed through the different composition of the three sequences of monologues in which the work is structured. With this resource the author offers an approach to a metadiscursive subject matter which revolves around scenic communication and theatrical genres

Selection of the Best Face Recognition System for Check in and Boarding Services
Check-in and boarding services are one of the most human oriented pre-flight services in aviation industry. The process of using face recognition systems increase with the aviation 4.0 concept, decreases need for manpower and increases the efficiency of the processes. Therefore, problems, developments and challenges of face recognition in terms of aviation 4.0 are discussed in this chapter to determine the best face recognition system for check in and boarding systems. Analytic hierarchy process and grey relational analysis are used to analyze current system providers. To handle the ambiguity in the linguistic evaluations, fuzzy Z- numbers are used. 10 face recognition system providers are evaluated according to five criteria with the proposed methodology and the results are discussed. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.2-s2.0-8511489144
Nutritional Modulation of the Immune Response Mediated by Nucleotides in Canine Leishmaniosis
Leishmaniasis is an emerging, uncontrolled, and neglected zoonotic disease. Climate change is contributing to its ongoing global expansion. The dog is the main reservoir; hence the importance of implementing effective treatment, prevention, and control measures in this animal species to protect public health. However, although the standard treatment for canine leishmaniosis (CanL) is effective, it does not provide full parasitological clearance, and side effects and drug resistance have been described. The host’s immune system plays a key role in the establishment and evolution of leishmaniasis. Dietary nucleotides modulate the immune response and, given their reported efficacy and safety in sick and clinically healthy Leishmania-infected dogs and because they represent a sustainable option with no associated side effects or resistance, they could be included within the prevention, treatment, and control strategies for leishmaniasis. This article briefly summarizes the scientific literature on CanL management, including unresolved issues, and reviews the scientific evidence on immunomodulatory effects of dietary nucleotides in different animal species. It also proposes a CanL management algorithm, including nucleotides. It is concluded that nutritional modulation of the immune response with nucleotides can contribute to better management of leishmaniasis following a One Health approach, especially in the COVID-19 era
La resistenza all'arte nell'Occidente;
In questa indagine sulle principali fonti documentanti l'atteggiamento verso l'arte medievale, l'autore sostiene che la resistenza all'arte in Occidente dal periodo paleocristiano fino a circa 1200 fu in gran parte dovuto a motivi sociali o intellettuali/spirituali.In this survey of the leading primary sources on the medieval attitude toward art, the author argues that resistance to art in the West from the Early Christian period up to around 1200 was largely posed on social or intellectual/spiritual grounds
Introduction: self-translating, from minorisation to empowerment
This introductory chapter discusses the implications of self-translation in multilingual contexts in Europe, aiming at mapping out innovative perspectives to the study of power and, by so doing, empowering self-translation. We start by critically engaging with the ‘cultural’ and ‘power turns’ in translation studies, as a way of delineating what the particularities of self-translation are when practised by author-translators in multilingual spaces. Focusing on the European milieu, defined broadly in terms of its geographies, we then discuss multilingualism, cultural awareness and ethnic diversity as staple terms in both academic and political ideologies across Europe, emphasising that one of the aspects of multilingualism is precisely the power differentials between languages and cultures. We explore these unequal power relations and centre–periphery dichotomies of Europe’s ‘minorised’ languages, literatures and cultures, suggesting the usage of ‘minorised’ in preference to the others discussed, inasmuch as it highlights both hegemonic power hierarchies and also the continual resistance to them. This is followed by a brief overview of the emerging debates in the subdiscipline of self-translation in recent times. It is within them that we situate our contribution, arguing that the self-translators’ double affiliation as authors and translators turns them into powerful cultural and ideological mediators and places them in a privileged position to challenge (or submit to) power. Here another term, ‘self-censorship,’ is suggested as invaluable to self-translation studies where self-editing often occurs before translation is begun. Finally, the introduction presents the organisation of the book and the main ideas discussed by the 11 authors in their individual chapters
