No full textL'introduzione di Roberto Secchi ha impostato il problema teorico affrontando l'oscillazione del progetto tra etica e estetica. Successivamente gli interventi di Alberto Abruzzese, Gianni Puglisi e Chris Younès hanno ampliato il tema e definito punti di vista originali ciascuno dalla sua postazione disciplinare (comunicazione, sociologia, filosofia). Il convegno ha poi affrontato il tema a due diverse scale quella del progetto urbano con interventi diPepe Barbieri, Enrico Nigris, Rosario Pavia, Antonino Terranova, e quella del progetto architettonico con interventi di Carlo Melograni, Luca Zevi,Piero Ostilio Rossi, Gianni Accasto. E' seguito un vivacissimo dibattito.

forecast spatial results that are capable of verifying
the effect of designing infrastructural
networks.
The complete vision - infrastructure/land -, indeed,
is currently training itself within the
urban planning field that includes the strategies
of settling activities and of preservation
and development within open spaces. However
this vision completes its figure only within
foreshadowing spatial results.
The coherence of the plan and its economic
and administrative feasibility are the essential
conditions to make it happen, even if they
don’t guarantee quality in results within the
configuration of remaining habitat spaces. It is
not enough to define ‘what’ to do; it is necessary
to dedicate enough attention to ‘how’ to
act. There are enough examples of good planning,
valuable targets and strategies which produced
disappointing results, if related to the
living quality and aesthetic concerns.
The philosophy of the integration infrastructure/
landscape asks for the construction of
new metropolitan landscapes, useful not only
for the best functional efficiency of mobility

networks and settlement activities, but also for
the offer related to high quality urban environment.
This philosophy can produce public
spaces and good possibilities of using them according
to different life styles that characterize
our multiform society. As jealous of traditional
values layered in its territory, this philosophy is
quite effective on challenging its resources by
interpreting its historical, cultural and aesthetic
values. Designing pools define possible scenarios
created by modeling the infrastructural network
in its whole. They render new systems of
mobility organization, they detect exchange
nodes between public and private transportation
networks, between rail and vehicular networks.
They point at devices capable of
reaching environmental sustainability, they
draw guidelines to establish new elements and
challenge existing settlements. They show images
of those estimated spaces that can be detected
by traveling along the network

No full textLa prima parte del volume, contiene un serie di articoli di Leone Spita, Marco Sorrentino, Anna Hunanyan, Valeriya Klets, Luca Reale e Sabrina Leone, incentrati su temi più specificatamente legati all’architettura e sullo sviluppo urbano di questa area geografica contenuta tra il Mar Nero e il Mar Caspio. Questi studi prendono in considerazione diversi aspetti dei profondi cambiamenti architettonici che stanno avendo luogo in alcuni questi paesi (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaigian e Kazakhstan), soprattutto nelle capitali, ed il loro rapporto con i realia politici, economici e sociali della regione.
La seconda parte del volume riunisce invece alcuni scritti – di Roberto Secchi, Roberto Valle, Renata Gravina e Andrea Carteny – dedicati soprattutto alla cultura russa in rapporto da un lato allo spazio eurasiatico, con particolare riferimento al Caucaso, dall’altro all’Europa: aspetti e fatti storici utili a una migliore comprensione dei fenomeni architettonici analizzati.
Il volume termina con una antologia di testi letterari a cura di Roberto Secchi.The first part of the volume contains a series of articles by Leone Spita, Marco Sorrentino, Anna Hunanyan, Valeriya Klets, Luca Reale and Sabrina Leone, focusing on themes more specifically related to the architecture and urban development of this geographic area contained in the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. These studies take into consideration several aspects of the profound architectural changes that are taking place in some of these countries (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan), especially in the capitals, and their relationship with the political, economic and social realities of the region.
The second part of the volume brings together some writings - by Roberto Secchi, Roberto Valle, Renata Gravina and Andrea Carteny - dedicated above all to Russian culture in relation to the Eurasian space on one side, with particular reference to the Caucasus, on the other to Europe: historical aspects and facts useful for a better understanding of the architectural phenomena analyzed.
The volume ends with an anthology of literary texts edited by Roberto Secchi

Essi testimoniano la rilevanza assegnata dall'autore alla correttezza della costruzione ed alla fattibilità tecnica dell'opera.The cemetery Voltabarozzo is the last work of Giancarlo Rosa. In this realization, we can grasp the main elements of the thought of the Roman architect. The project is appreciated for its evocative and symbolic spaces that builds and, above all, the construction details. Si mette in evidenza il grande impegno civile con il quale si definisce la sua concezione del progetto architettonico almeno nella prima fase dell'attività e che si riallaccia alla più alta tradizione della trattatistica italiana. quella corrispondente alla costituzione e diffusione della "tendenza". Si mettono poi in rilievo i fraintendimenti della lezione di Rossi da parte della generazione dell'autore ed anche i suoi cedimenti alle suggestioni del postmoderno sino all'ultimo progetto per Berlino in Koch Strasse.The article will be a testimony to the great importance of the work of Aldo Rossi for the author and his generation for having offered the example of an interdisciplinary approach to urban studies and a point of view, absolutely original in the assessment of the relationships between architecture and cities.
