Reconstructing Curriculum History of the 1970s through Archival Work in the Schubert and Short Curriculum Studies Archives from the Georgia Southern University Library
Based on the archives, Jim Jupp and William Schubert have been looking through elaborate files on curricular organizations in an attempt to reconstruct the history of the curriculum field, especially from the late 1950s to about 1980. They have done this by using both the Edmund C. Short and the William H. Schubert archives. Jim Jupp and William Schubert would be glad to talk about ideas derived thus far, which have primarily focused on boxes of files about the AERA SIG on Creation and Utilization of Curriculum Knowledge, now the AERA SIG on Critical Issues in Curriculum and Cultural Studies

Franz Schubert

Prime ideals in the quantum grassmanian
We consider quantum Schubert cells in the quantum grassmannian and give a cell decomposition of the prime spectrum via the Schubert cells. As a consequence, we show that all primes are completely prime in the generic case where the deformation parameter q is not a root of unity. There is a natural torus action of H = (k*)(n) on the quantum grassmannian O-q(G(m,n)(k)) and the cell decomposition of the set of H-primes leads to a parameterisation of the H-spectrum via certain diagrams on partitions associated to the Schubert cells. Interestingly, the same parameterisation occurs for the nonnegative cells in recent studies concerning the totally nonnegative grassmannian. Finally, we use the cell decomposition to establish that the quantum grassmannian satisfies normal separation and catenarity

Invoice from F. Schubert, Wheeling, West Virginia, to Stimpson H. Woodward, February 20, 1869
A document from an extensive collection spanning four generations of the Woodward family that operated merchant pig iron companies in West Virginia and Alabama. The collection begins with Stimpson Harvey Woodward (S. H. Woodward), a native of Massachusetts, who moved from Pittsburgh to Wheeling, West Virginia in 1852. He had interests in an iron company as early as 1852 in West Virginia and began Alabama operations in 1869. The family business continued in Alabama until the death of S. H. Woodward's great-grandson in 1965
