Der Text erinnert zum 250sten Geburtsjahr an Alexander von Humboldt, ein Vordenker für eine ökologische Sicht der Welt und ein früher Protagonist „transversaler Vernunft“. Er ist als Ideengeber für die „neuen Naturtherapien“, für die Integrative Therapie und für eine ökologische Sicht in der Psychotherapie eine unverzichtbare Quelle. Einige aus dieser Perspektive wichtige Aspekte seines Denkens und Werkes werden aufgezeigt. Er ist ein Referenzautor für transversales und integratives Konzeptualisieren in unserer Zeit.The text commemorates the 250th year of birth of Alexander von Humboldt, a thought leader for an ecological view of the world and an early protagonist of „transversal reason“. Structural, electrochemical and oxygen atom transfer properties of a molybdenum selenoether complex [Mo2O4(OC(3)H(6)SeC(3)H6(O))(2)] and its thioether analogue [Mo2O4(OC3H6SC3H6O)(2)]
The first crystallographically characterized molybdenum(VI) selenoether complex [Mo2O4(OC3H6SeC3H6O)(2)] and its thioether analogue [Mo2O4(OC3H6SC3H6O)(2)] were synthesised. Their structural, electrochemical and oxygen atom transfer properties are compared. This is relevant for the molybdenum cofactors of the DMSO reductase family where the coordination of the active site metal occurs through O (serine/aspartate), S (cysteine) or Se (selenocysteine). Both structures are almost identical except for those parameters that are directly derived from the different sizes of the varied ligand atoms (Se and S). No trans influence was observed. The metal centered redox process ((MoMoVI)-Mo-V ($) over left right arrow) is at slightly lower voltage for the sulfur than for the selenium complex. The selenium compound catalyses the oxygen atom transfer from DMSO to PPh3 by a different mechanism and at a higher rate than the sulfur compound, which is an indication that cysteine and selenocysteine might be used for a purpose in the different molybdenum and tungsten cofactors
Is There a Common Molecular Link that Drives the Stress Risk for Disease?
Almost everybody has to deal with stress sometimes. But what is stress? It is a reaction of the body to a challenging situation which elicits a stress response in the body. Stress is also a risk factor for disease and this is an area that MATHIAS V. SCHMIDT and his research team focus on. The most prominent stress-related disorders are psychiatric disorders and metabolic disorders. Specifically, as Schmidt explains in this video, they ask: Is there a common molecular link that may drive the stress risk for disease? A potential molecular link they found is FKBP51. To test this hypothesis they used FKBP51 knockout animals, their cells and also a pharmacological tool, a FKBP51-specific antagonist. The experiments confirmed that FKBP51 indeed links stress response with an increased risk for metabolic disorders. Their findings can thus be used to develop a drug that can then be tested on humans

Syntheses and Structures of Cyclic and Acyclic Compounds Containing Vanadium(V) and Molybdenum(VI)
The reaction of (C2F5)2P(Cl)NSiMe3 (2) with Cl3VNSiMe3 in CH2Cl2 yields the eight-membered ring [(C2F5)2PN2VCl2]2 (3). (CF3)2P(Cl)NSiMe3 (1) reacts with VOCl3 to form the eight-membered ring [(CF3)2PN]3NVCl2 (4). A six-membered ring [Ph2PN]2NVCl2 (5) can be isolated from the reaction of Ph2P(Cl)NSiMe3 with VOCl3. 1 reacts quantitatively with MoO2Cl2 and MoOCl4 to form [MoOCl3-O-P(CF3)2N-SiMe3]4 (6) and (CF3)2P(Cl)N-MoOCl3 (7), respectively. Synthesis, structure and characterization of a new tetrameric tungsten-oxo complex [WO2Cl2(THF)](4)
WOCl4 reacts with (Me3Si)(2)O and excess THF to give [WO2Cl2(THF)](4) (1), a new tetrameric tungsten(VI)-oxo complex, which was characterized and crystal structure was determined by X-ray crystallography. Complex 1 has a roughly square planar tetranuclear structure bridged by mu-oxo ligands. Each tungsten atom is coordinated by two bridging oxygens, one terminal oxygen, two "axial" chlorine atoms and one "equatorial" O-bonded THF ligand. One of the two mu-oxo ligands is similar to the terminal oxygen atom and the other one is similar to the coordinated oxygen atom of the THF ligand, respectively, which confirmed a previous proposal. Four WO3Cl2(THF) octahedral are associated by sharing corners. Complex 1 is different from three known tetrameric tungsten analogues in its structural arrangement and properties. (C) 2009 Elsevier B. The article sheds light on some of the significant circumstances of the genesis and performance of Kreft’s play The Comedians of Carniola as gestures of canonisation with which the author attempted to re-evaluate Linhart’s role in Slovenian literary history. Nearly forty years later, a play by Mirko Zupančič entitled That’s the Stuff of which the Comedians of Carniola are Made is intertextually connected to Linhart’s play The Happy Day or Mathias Gets Married and Kreft’s The Comedians of Carniola, but displays different intentions of the author and the decomposition of the play within the play.Članek izpostavi nekatere značilne okoliščine nastanka in uprizoritev Kreftovih Krajnskih komedijantov kot kanonizacijske geste, s katerimi je skušal avtor prevrednotiti Linhartovo vlogo v slovenski literarni zgodovini.
