The fatal card [picture] /
"Sarony New York"--Printed lower left and right.; Condition: Good, minor damage to right border of image. "Charles Haddon Chambers was the first Australian playwright to make a success on the London and New York stages. His play "The fatal card" was written with E.C. Stephenson and produced in London in 1894. It was probably produced in New York in the following season, 1895. This sepia photograph by Sarony, New York shows the cast in the first act which is set in the American Rockies. Image is unusual in that the whole cast is shown in this studio photograph."--Vendor's note
