Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników określono wpływ zawartości tych cząstek na podstawową częstotliwość drgań własnych i bezwymiarowy współczynnik tłumienia belki.The study presents the results of laboratory studies on free vibrations of sandwich beams filled with magnetorheological (MR) fluids characterised by various proportions of ferromagnetic particles by weight. No full textThe paper analyses selected works of Bogdan Bogdanović (1922- 2010). This Serbian architect, writer and Professor of Architecture at
the University of Belgrade, was the author of numerous monuments devoted to the victims of fascism in former Yugoslavia (1952-81). As the Mayor of Belgrade (1982-86) Bogdanović was a liberal member of the Yugoslav Communist Party and later, a strong opponent of Milošević’s regime. This paper argues that Bogdanović has always been both a dissident and an avant-garde proponent of architectural surrealism and its wider culture. Living with the belief that the vocation of an architect presupposes lifetime devotion to learning and experimentation, Bogdanović carried on with this attitude throughout his life. This approach, spiced up with playfulness and mystery as presented in his early volume Zaludna mistrija (The Futile Trowel) 1968, is the focus of this paper. No full textTyt. z nagł.Abstract: The study concerns 2 DOF and 3 DOF pitch-plane models of a semi-active vehicle suspension comprising magnetorheological (MR) dampers. The 2 DOF pitch-plane model with two independent spring - MR damper suspension sets enables us to study bounce and pitch motions of the suspended body. The 3 DOF pitch-plane model takes into account also a model of driver's seat and for this reason the third spring - MR damper suspension set was introduced. The mechanical structure, data acquisition and control equipment of the 2 DOF and 3 DOF system configurations are reviewed. Finally, selected results of functional testing conducted in the presented setups are provided. Streszczenie: W artykule opisano płaskie modele semiaktywnego zawieszenia pojazdu o dwóch (2 DOF) i trzech (3 DOF) stopniach swobody. W modelach tych wykorzystano magnetoreologiczne (MR) tłumiki drgań. Model 2 DOF posiadający dwa niezależne układy zawieszenia: sprężyna - tłumik MR, umożliwia analizę ruchu pionowego i przechyłów wzdłużnych resorowanego nadwozia pojazdu. Model 3 DOF uwzględnia dodatkowo fotel kierowcy wraz z zawieszeniem, które stanowi trzeci układ sprężyna - tłumik MR. Dla obydwu modeli przedstawiono strukturę mechaniczną stanowisk badawczych wraz z aparaturą pomiarowo-sterującą. Zaprezentowano wybrane wyniki badań funkcjonalnych przeprowadzonych na obu stanowiskach. No full textThe main goal of the article is to explore relations of literature and architecture in works of Bogdan Bogdanović, the Serbian architect, writer, politician and dissident. The author focuses on surrealist influences that pervade Bogdanović’s work i.e. famous memorials of WWII, sketches, political and architectural essays and autobiographical narratives. Analyzing both aesthetic and ideological aspects of surrealist signatures etched into this ouvre, the author defines them as a subversive strategy aimed against the communist discourse of Yugoslavia as well as against the modernist discourse of postwar architecture

The suspension model was tested in open-loop and feedback system configurations under harmonic and square base excitations. The experiments were conducted on the specially designed laboratory setup with data acquisition and control system configured in MATLAB/Simulink environment. The obtained results reveal effectiveness of MR dampers in vibration isolation for a wide range of excitation frequencies. STRESZCZENIA: W artykule poruszono zagadnienie sterowania drganiami płaskiego modelu zawieszenia pojazdu o dwóch stopniach swobody, wyposażonego w niezależnie sterowane tłumiki MR w części przedniej i tylnej. Model zawieszenia badano w układzie otwartym oraz zamkniętym, przy harmonicznych oraz prostokątnych wymuszeniach podłoża. Badania eksperymentalne prowadzono z wykorzystaniem specjalnie zaprojektowanego stanowiska laboratoryjnego wyposażonego w aparaturę pomiarowo-sterującą współpracującą ze środowiskiem MATLAB/Simulink. Uzyskane rezultaty potwierdzają efektywność tłumików MR w zakresie redukcji drgań rezonansowych oraz nadrezonansowych. KEYWORDS: mr damper, pitch-plane suspension model, vibration control.
