    The following document contains a Circular composed by Samuel S. Smith, the seventh President of the College of New Jersey (later Princeton University) regarding students being tempted by people of bad principles to contract improper debts with them upon credit. The circular was addressed to Julian Niemcewicz in Elizabethtown, New Jersey. Since Julian was absent, Susan Niemcewicz acknowledged the circular on behalf of her son, Peter Kean, who was a student at the college.
