Thank you for the portrait of Dwight D. Eisenhower.Gettysburg, Pennsylvania November 17, 1969 Dear Mr. Meranto: Thank you for sending me the portrait of my husband made my one of your lead students. I think it is very good and I plan to place it in the house on the campus of Gettysburg College that has been named in General Eisenhower’s honor. It is where he had his office from the time we left the White House until six months after his passing. They are looking for mementos, pictures and items of association that I think this would be a wonderful place to have the portrait. With appreciation and best wishes, Mamie Doud Eisenhower Mr. Samuel R. Meranto, Director Cross Academy, Inc. Seven Hill Plaza 70 Madison Street Worcester, Massachusetts 0160
