Fantasy narrative by Niko Grafenauer - the Mahajana fairy tale triptych
Avtorica v prispevku analizira triptih sodobnih pravljic mladinskega klasika Nika Grafenauerja Majhnica in Katrca Škrateljca (1987), Majhnica (1987) in Mahajana in druge pravljice o Majhnici (1990). Niko Grafenauer je sodobni slovenski mladinski klasik in kanonski avtor v učnem načrtu za slovenščino (2011). V članku so analizirane intertekstualnost, motivno-tematske reminiscence, podoba otroka in ljubezni v triptihu, posebej v obsežni sodobni pravljici Mahajana s slikarskimi ilustracijami Marije Lucije Stupica.The article analyses a triptych of contemporary fairy tales by Slovene author Niko Grafenauer: Majhnica and Katrca Škrateljca (1987), Majhnica (1987) and Mahayana and other stories about Majhnica (1990). Niko Grafenauer is a modern classic and a representative author in the Slovene language curriculum (2011).The paper analyses intertextuality, motif reminiscences, the triptych image of a child and love, in particular in the fantasy Mahajana, which is illustrated by Marija Lucija Stupica
Impact of biomass combustion properties on small boiler development
Magistrsko delo je namenjeno predstaviti holističnega pristopa na področju zasnove modernih, malih kurilnih naprav. Predstavljene teoretične osnove, ki se navezujejo na lastnosti trdnih lesnih goriv in proces njihovega zgorevanja, predstavljajo fundamentalna znanja s katerimi je mogoče uspešno načrtovati zasnovo kurilnih naprav. Podrobneje so predstavljene še škodljive snovi, ki izstopajo iz sistema v katerem se odvija proces zgorevanja. Cilj razvoja malih kurilnih naprav na trdna lesna goriva je med drugim zagotovitev čistejšega zgorevanja, z namenom omejiti obremenitev okolja. Z upoštevanjem teoretičnega poznavanja področja zgorevanja trdnih lesnih goriv je mogoče načrtovati okolju prijazne in učinkovitejše naprave. Za namen uprizoritve procesa razvoja male kurilne naprave je predstavljen realen primer, kot ga je beležil avtor magistrskega dela tekom trajanja projekta. Predstavljen primer opisuje proces razvoja po principu »iz napak se učimo«. Tovrsten način razvoja dovoljuje hitre rezultate kadar je stopnja izkušenj in znanja sodelujočih oseb primerno visoka. Za reševanje dovolj enostavnih primerov zadostuje omenjena metoda, v primeru reševanja kompleksnejših problemov pa intuitivne metode ne zadostujejo več. Kot primer bolj primerne metode razvoja mailih kurilnih naprav na trdna lesna goriva je predstavljena računalniška dinamika tekočin. Za ta namen je bila pripravljena analiza predstavljene kurilne naprave s pomočjo numerične simulacije zgorevanja. Za namen popisa dogodkov v sloju goriva je bil uporabljen empirični ravnotežni model, ki služi za pridobitev sestave in lastnosti sinteznega plina, ki zapušča sloj. S pomočjo predpostavljenih in izračunanih robnih pogojev je bila izvedena numerična simulacija zgorevanja in prenosa toplote v mali kurilni naprav. Rezultati simulacije podajajo bogat vpogled v notranjost kurilne naprave tekom obratovanja, s tem pa možnost za razumevanje posledic različnih zasnov na obratovalne karakteristike, še pred njeno izdelavo.This master\u27s thesis is intended to present a holistic approach in the design of modern, small boilers. Presented are the theoretical basics that relate to the properties of solid wood fuels and the process of their combustion. This represents the fundamental knowledge for the successful design of such devices. In addition, harmful substances, which emit from the system in which the combustion process takes place, are presented in more detail. The goal of developing small wood fired boilers is, among other things, ensuring cleaner combustion in order to reduce the environmental burden. With the appropriate theoretical knowledge of the field of combustion of solid wood fuels, it is possible to design environmentally friendly and efficient boilers. For the purpose of presenting of a development process, a realistic example is presented, as recorded by the author of this master\u27s thesis. The presented example describes the process of development according to the principle "trial and error". This kind of development allows quick results when the level of experience and knowledge of the participants is quite high. In order to solve simple cases, this method is sufficientin the case of solving complex problems, intuitive methods are no longer sufficient. An example of a more suitable method of development is computational fluid dynamics, as a tool in the development of small combustion plants. For this purpose, an analysis of the presented combustion device was prepared by means of a numerical combustion simulation. For the purpose of capturing the events in the fuel layer, an empirical equilibrium model was used to obtain the composition and properties of the gas leaving the fuel bed. Using the assumed and calculated boundary conditions, a numerical simulation of the combustion was carried out. The results of the simulation give a rich insight into the events happening in the device, thus the possibility of understanding the consequences of different designs, which enables the validation of the design already in the design phase and does not require the physical creation of a prototype
Viability analysis of a municipal solid waste gasification process
I am writing this text to explain briefly the intention of the master them I am carrying out in the University of Maribor.
The purpose of this master thesis will be quantifying the maximum volume of syngas that is possible to obtain from municipal waste.
Furthermore, the research will try to find the process which possibilities the best quality of the syngas for a certain application. In order to make this be possible, the University of Maribor will provide me some data of waste composition.
In addition, I will try to do a clear comparison between gasification and incineration from the same waste to highlight the benefits that gasification provides.Outgoin
Analyzes of heavy metals and ph levels in compost
Biološko razgradljivi odpadki in njihova predelava so osnovna tema diplomske naloge. Spoznali bomo procese kompostiranja v proizvodnem procesu, potrebne tehnološke postopke kompostiranja in pridobitev končnega izdelka. V diplomski nalogi sem se osredotočila na problem prisotnosti težkih kovin in bazičnega pH v kompostu. Z različnimi metodami, ki jih uporabljajo v drugih kompostarnah, sem poskušala najti najprimernejšo rešitev za svoj problem. Na osnovi diplomske naloge bodo lahko izboljšali kakovost proizvodnje komposta in pridobivanje kvalitetnejšega produkta.The biodegradable waste and its processing is the basic topic of the graduated work. We will get to know the processes of composting in the production process, the necessary technological procedures for computing and the acquisition of the final product. In my graduation thesis I focused on the problem of the presence of heavy metals and basic pH in the compost. By using the various methods used in other composting plants, I tried to find the most suitable solution to my problem. Based on graduated thesis, they will be able to improve the quality of the production compost and obtain a better quality product
Plastic waste management in the circular economy system
Po svetu in v Evropi se povečuje proizvodnja plastike, posledica česar je povečevanje nastajanja plastičnih odpadkov. Plastični odpadki najpogosteje končajo na odlagališčih ali odvrženi v okolje, kar škodljivo vpliva tako na ljudi kot okolje. Da bi se odpadki v krožnem gospodarstvu izkoristili v kar največji meri, si prizadevajo za njihovo ponovno uporabo in recikliranje. Recikliranje je v veliki meri odvisno od sestave plastičnih odpadkov in ima pogosto določene pomanjkljivosti, zato je trenutno najboljša rešitev ena od oblik energetske predelave. V tem delu so predstavljene prednosti in slabosti predelave plastičnih odpadkov ter možne rešitve, primerjan je sedanji način predelave plastičnih odpadkov v Republiki Hrvaški in Republiki Sloveniji in izbran tehnološki predlog za predelavo plastičnih odpadkov.Plastic production is increasing in the world and in Europe, which brings with it the problem of increasing the generation of plastic waste. Plastic waste usually ends up in landfills or dumped in the environment, which has a detrimental effect on people and the environment. In order to make the most of waste in the circular economy, efforts are being made to reuse and recycle it. Recycling largely depends on the composition of plastic waste and often has some drawbacks, so currently the best solution is considered to be one of the forms of energy recovery. This paper presents the advantages and disadvantages of plastic waste processing and possible solutions, compares the current process of plastic waste management in the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia, and selects a technology proposal for plastic waste management

Človeštvo se vedno bolj zaveda problemov pomanjkanja energentov.
Vsako leto proizvedemo vedno več odpadkov, ki jih ne moremo povsem reciklirati.
Del odpadkov, ki jih ne moremo snovno izrabiti, lahko energijsko izrabimo in pretvorimo v toplotno in električno energijo, vendar moramo pri tem poskrbeti, da je negativni vpliv na okolje tega procesa minimalen in znotraj predpisanih vrednosti za onesnaževanje tovrstnih naprav.
S tem namenom smo se odločili, da konstruiramo napravo, kjer se bo na majhni količini vzorčnih goriv oziroma odpadkov določilo parametre zgorevanja, z dobljenimi rezultati pa bo lažje konstruirati tehnološko primernejšo, zmogljivejšo in okolju prijaznejšo napravo za izrabo odpadkov in nekonvencionalnih trdnih goriv.Humanity is increasingly aware of the problems of the lack of energy.

Present problems and environmental - economic vision of separately collected packaging waste management in Slovenia
Znano je, da so potrebe potrošnikov iz dneva v dan večje. Posledično izrazito narašča tudi količina odpadkov, ki vstopajo na trg. V tem okviru je posebej pereč problem ločeno zbrane odpadne embalaže. Družbe, ki izvajajo zbiranje, so v težavah zaradi prevelike količine odpadkov in zakonskih pomanjkljivosti, zato je treba sistem v najkrajšem možnem času sanirati in optimirati. V diplomski nalogi bom obenem s teoretičnimi osnovami s področja odpadne embalaže opisal nekaj primerov dobre prakse iz različnih držav Evropske unije ter predstavil sistem, ki ga uporabljamo v Sloveniji. Predstavil bom tudi način reševanja problemov z vidikov transparentnosti, nadzora in učinkovitosti, ki odločilno vplivajo na njegovo učinkovito delovanje.It is a well known fact that the needs of contemporary consumers are increasing day by day. As a result, growing amounts of waste are entering the market. In this respect, especially challenging to manage is the packaging waste. Companies which are responsible for collecting this waste have trouble with excessive quantities, which calls for an effective reform of the system as soon as possible. The present diploma thesis starts with theoretical considerations pertaining to the field of packaging waste, followed by a presentation of selected examples of good practice from different EU countries. Also described, is the system currently in use in Slovenia. This work concludes by suggesting ways of resolving problems in terms of improving transparency, control and efficiency of the system, which will have, I believe, a decisive influence on its performance
