Autor: Matěj Salzer Název: Porovnání úrovně jednoduché, a složité reakční doby při nespecifických a specifických podnětech ve vybraném sportovním odvětví Cíl: Hlavním cílem této práce je zjistit a porovnat reakční dobu jednotlivých výkonnostních úrovní v šermu kordem a reakční doby mezi ženami a muži. Dále porovnání reakční doby obecné a specifické. S nejnižším rozdílem v průměru 54,0 ms a nejvyšším rozdílem průměrů 81,5 ms. Objective: The main aim of this study is to determine and compare the reaction times of different performance levels in fencing with the epee, reaction times between women and men. Furthermore, it compares general and specific reaction times. Methods: Reaction time to visual stimuli was measured using Fittronic devices: Fitroreaction, Fitro tapping, and Favero targets. The research sample consists of 28 participants, including 18 men and 10 women. The groups are divided as follows: representation, performance, and recreational. Where the groups are divided according to performance on the ladder of the Czech Fencing Association. Results: A statistically significant difference was found between the representation and recreational group, in all measured values at p = <0.001. With the lowest difference in average of 54.0 ms and the highest difference in averages of 81.5 ms. However, no difference in reaction times was found between the representation and performance group. Furthermore, no statistically significant difference was found between the reaction of women and men, except for simple general reaction in the recreational group. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to map and analyze the critical reception of Karel Matěj Čapek-Chod's novels V třetím dvoře (1895), Kašpar Lén mstitel (1908) and Turbína (1916), which represent a certain section of the author's work over time. The result should be a comprehensive conception of how individual literary critics (e.g. F. X. Šalda, J. Vodák and others) interpreted the selected works, how they appraised them and in which literary contexts they placed them. In particular, those reflections that put the novels in context with naturalism, or more precisely with the works of European naturalists. The author will use the Retrobi database for bibliographic research of contemporary critics

Dissertation Abstract Title: Integration of Palliative Care into a Social Service - Nursing Home Author: Ing. Mgr. Matěj Lejsal Tutor: prof. Walter Lorenz, M.Sc., Ph.D. Scientific field: Sociology Institution: Charles University Faculty/Department: Faculty of Arts / Sociology Department The presented study offers an alternative perspective on the implementation of systemic social changes based on a systemic approach. The study is embedded in intermediate long-term care, which represents a dynamic system with regard to demographic development and the increasing complexity of the social problems being solved. In the study, the small effectiveness of linearly conceived changes is demonstrated on historical development. Using the method of action research, the author examines the process of change - the integration of palliative care into a social service, which is based on the framework of a specific organization and from the beginning has the ambition to ensure a societal impact. At the end of the study, the author formulates key principles for the implementation of changes of a similar type. Matěj Kubíček: The Meaning of Success in the World of Czech Professional Drummers Abstract In this thesis, the author deals with the term "success", aiming to uncover ways in which Czech professional pop music drummers understand it. He also investigates problems connected with it, such as the attributes required to reach the status of a professional drummer, or the link between art, commerce, and skills. His approach consists of comparing relevant literature, which is introduced in the first part of the thesis, with information stemming from research. This research was made in a qualitative method, where the author made interviews with eight professional Czech drummers. The main themes contained in the investigation of the word success are the actual typology of the term, teaching and pedagogy, family life, and the relationship between art and commerce. As far as a professional drummer's attributes are concerned, three most important terms are identified: Diligence, talent, and humbleness

Depiction of Prague in Karel Čapek Chod's works

    No full text
The thesis depicts Prague in the prose of Karel Matěj Čapek Chod. Its aim is to describe the functioning of individual places and to find possible symbolic meanings. From a methodological point of view, it is based on a naratological approach (forming the space via narration) and a thematic approach (expressing the poetics of the place). The practical part reflects mainly the approach that assumes that places have the ability to have a certain memory and to bear symbolic meanings, thus not forgetting literary and culturally historical context. The interpretation work takes these aspects into account and applies them when determining the function of the places described. It tries to articulate the meaning of the place or its surroundings chosen by the author. It captures how this place affects the functioning of the characters and how it behaves within the story
