Correction: Guidelines for the prevention, detection and management of the renal complications of COVID-19 in Africa
The authors of the article ‘Guidelines for the prevention, detection and management of the renal complications of COVID-19 in Africa’ [1] wish to acknowledge the contribution of Professor Hussein El Fishawy. Our guidelines drew on various sources, including the Egyptian Ministry of Health guidelines, portions of which were adapted and reproduced with permission from the Egyptian Ministry of Health. Two of the authors of those guidelines, Professors Elsayed and Zaki, are also coauthors of our paper. Professor El Fishawy was the third author of the Egyptian guidelines and we would like to acknowledge his contribution to our review through this source, especially with respect to the treatment algorithms for patients with kidney transplants and those with acute kidney injury. Représentations littéraires du sacré dans le roman maghrébin de langue française
This interdisciplinary study explores how Driss Chraïbi’s L’Homme du Livre (1995), Assia Djebar’s Loin de Médine (1991), and Anissa Boumediène’s La fin d’un monde (1991) present accounts of particular historical moments in early Islam. This study explores the role of the imagination as well as freedom of invention when reconstructing historical events. It engages the novels through a study of the interplay between the literary text and the sources and traditions that impact and shape the text narrative. Gaining direct access to the original sources in Arabic serves to analyze how religious and early historical materials are considered in and reflected by the fictional texts. Because the sources tend to differ in both content and approach, this study examines their preoccupations in order to determine the criteria of selection applied by each novelist.Ph.D.Includes bibliographical referencesIncludes vitaby Hanan Elsaye

Entwicklung von berührungsloser Hochdurchsatz-Sensorik zur Bestimmung von Wasserstress in Weizen und Mais
The study observed the potential of spectral reflectance, laser induced chlorophyll fluorescence, and infrared measurement for the detection of drought stress parameters like leaf water potential, plant water content, and canopy temperature. The results of reflection measurements under controlled and field conditions showed that spectral indices are good indicators for plant water content in wheat. Measurements of chlorophyll fluorescence under field conditions resulted in a close relationship between plant water content and fluorescence at 690 and 730 nm and to the biomass index. The canopy temperature showed a good relation to plant water content as well. These technologies therefore offer an opportunity to efficiently detect water status of plants. With ongoing climate change, the results of this study are first approaches for better management and selection methods in plant production.

Design, construction and field testing of a manually feeding semiautomatic sugarcane dud chipper
Sugarcane is the main sugar crop, and sugar is an important agricultural product in Egypt. There are many problems with the technology used in the current planting method of sugarcane, which has a great impact on the planting quality of sugarcane, which have a series of problems, such as low cutting efficiency and poor quality. Therefore, the aim of the current study was to design, construct, and field testing of a semiautomatic sugarcane bud chipper assisted with pivot knives for cutting sugarcane buds and germinating them in plastic trays inside a greenhouse until they reached an average length of 35 cm, and then planting them in the field. In the field tests five cutting speeds (35, 40, 45, 50, and 56 rpm. (Revolution Per minute), three cutting knives (1.5, 2.0, and 2.5 mm) were used for cutting sugarcane stalks with four different diameters (1.32, 1.82, 2.43, and 2.68 cm). The obtained results showed that the values of the damage index and invisible losses were within acceptable limits (ranging between - 1.0 and 0.0) for all the variables under the test. Still, the lowest damage index and invisible losses were recorded with the buds that were cut with a knife of 1.5 mm thickness and cutting speeds less than 50 rpm. The skipping rate increases with the increase in cutting speed and stalk diameter, ranging between 0.0 to 13%. The maximum machine productivity was 110 Buds per minute at a cutting speed of 35 rpm and stalk diameter of 1.32 cm. The paper's findings have important application values for promoting the designing and development of sugarcane bud chipper and sugarcane planting technology in the future
Trends towards IOT in Egypt: Cloud Computing System Implementation in Egypt – Challenges and Benefits
This research aims to investigate the benefits of implementing the cloud computing system over the currently used IT system, as well the challenges of applying Cloud computing that companies in Egypt could face. This research applies mixed methods of research. Both qualitative and quantitative methods of research are used in the form of semi-structured interviews and questionnaires, respectively. The semi-structured interview was targeting the supply chain and IT managers of three different companies at Coca Cola Egypt, Nestle Egypt and Carrefour Egypt. A SWOT analysis was conducted to serve as a guide to many companies in Egypt that are willing to implement such a system and can then avoid the weakness points and the threats that they could be faced with during the implementation. The importance of this research adds to the literature by focusing on the application of IOT in Egypt in terms of the implementation of a cloud computing system in Egypt and it analyzes whether it could increase the efficiency of the companies in Egypt
