No full textIl saggio fa parte del un volume “ Studi sulla periferia est di Roma” (curato dall’ autore) che propone una possibile, innovativa interpretazione della periferia romana come sede di un, pur contraddittorio, processo organico di strutturazione territoriale. Il saggio vuole dimostrare come sia possibile leggere questi luoghi con occhi nuovi, come territorio storico, cercando strumenti di progetto che si pongano, piuttosto che nelle condizioni di assoluta libertà giustificata da una presunta assenza di struttura, in critica continuità con la forma ereditata.The essay is part of a book "Studies on the eastern suburbs of Rome" (edited by the author) that offers a possible, innovative interpretation of the the Roman suburbs as the place of an, even contradictory, organic process of territorial structuring. The essay aims to demonstrate how it is possible to read these places as with new eyes, as historical territory, looking for design tools intented, rather than in terms of absolute freedom justified by a presumed lack of structure, in critical continuity with the inherited form
