Gli adolescenti e la grande rete. Opportunità e livelli di comunicazione
Le maggiori teorie sulla fase adolescenziale si soffermano sulle caratteristiche specifiche di questa età: dai cambiamenti fisici e psicologici in atto alla cosiddetta “crisi” che connota l’acquisizione di un’identità adulta. Questo articolo si propone di descrivere l’adolescenza a partire dagli adolescenti: per comprendere la loro realtà, infatti, è opportuno interrogare non solo le teorie sull’adolescenza, ma pure l’adolescente in carne e ossa, i suoi vissuti e le sue relazioni attuali. Uno sguardo di sistema sul processo di crescita adolescenziale conferma come ogni adolescente sia egli stesso (e sappia pure stringere) un originalissimo nodo all’interno di più reti reali e virtuali: dalla famiglia presente e passata al gruppo dei pari, dalle istituzioni sociali alla Grande Rete, con tutti i significati culturali e meta-culturali che quest’ultima può avere. Il rapporto fra gli adolescenti, le famiglie e la Rete viene perciò analizzato alla luce di una riflessione critico-prassica di matrice pedagogico-familiare e della riproposizione in chiave inedita di alcune teorie psicoanalitiche classiche. Attraverso l’analisi delle interazioni fra l’adolescente, la sua famiglia, la società e le istituzioni sociali si cerca di indagare quali significati simbolici possano avere la realtà virtuale e l’identità virtuale nelle quali si muovono gli adolescenti contemporanei. La Grande Rete odierna è così paragonata all’archetipo della Grande Madre illustrato nel mito di Dedalo, Icaro e la Regina di Creta. Infine, si propone un confronto fra due ricerche empiriche che chiariscono come evolva il rapporto fra gli adolescenti, le loro famiglie reali o percepite e la Rete.The main theories about adolescence are focused on the specific characteristics of what is simply considered as a season of human life: from the physical and psychological changes to the so-called “crisis” that preludes to the conquest of an adult identity. This paper aims to describe adolescence starting from the real life contexts of adolescents: not only deepening some pedagogical theories about them, but also portraying adolescents in the flesh, their past experiences and their current relations. The conception of adolescent growth as a “complex system of existential ramifications” confirms that every single adolescent is (and is able to tighten) an original node within multiple real and virtual networks: his family in the past and at present, the peer group, social institutions, the World Wide Web and all of the cultural meanings that it can bring. The relationships between adolescents, their families and the Web are therefore analyzed in the light of pedagogy of the family and some classical (but revisited) psychoanalytic axioms. Through the analysis of the interactions between new adolescents, their families, society and social institutions, this article tries to explain the symbolic opportunities and traps that virtual reality can embody, and to explore the virtual identities in which adolescents move. The Web is compared to the archetype of the “Great Mother” inferable from the greek myth of Daedalus, Icarus and The Queen of Crete. Daedalus, in fact, is a father who tries to free his son from the Labyrinth where the Minotaur is hidden. The Web, like the mythical Labyrinth, is full of risks and dangers (from online pedophilia to the phenomenon of cyberbullying), but, if used in the right way, it can give access to endless possibilities: for example the development of creative thinking, the power of exploring unknown paths, the ability to weave networks of connection with the real peer group (from friends to classmates). In order to actualize the myth it is shown a comparison between two Italian empirical studies about adolescents, their real or perceived parents, and the World Wide Web
La nonnità in una prospettiva di genere maschile
The great importance that grandparents have today for families today concerns not only concerns the economic subsidiarity support or the protection and care of the exercise of the function of protection and custody of children, but involves, in educational terms, it also involves the relationship between genders and generations. Several national and international scientific research projectes dwell on the grandparents’ specificity of the contribution of grandparents to the welfare of young families, but fail to deal tackle, with the necessary clarity, the issue of the substantial diversity that characterizesdifference between the grandmother’s action, especially particularly maternal action, compared to that of the grandfather’s, mostly pmaternal role. RatherInstead, the researches focuses on the figures of grandparents figures as if they were asexual, often subtending with the word “«grandparents”» implying the analysis of the grandmother or the reference to the playful or post-parental function of the grandfather. There are few studies that allow a good explanation of the typical education model embodied by grandfathers. Far from a naively adoptingon of the stereotyped concept of maleness and femaleness, this article tries to focus on the male model that characterizinges the grandfathers’ affection of grandfathers towards their grandchildren, with particular attention to primary school age (from 6-7 to 11 years of lifeold).
