VASARI ALLIEVO E CRITICO DI ANDREA DEL SARTO
The article investigates the relationship between G.Vasari and his master Andrea del Sarto through written and visual sources. It clarifies some unprecedentedly ambiguous passages of XVIth century texts and shows how the development of Vasari's art can be understood also in the light of his contradictory relationship with the model of Andrea.
In the review of the catalogue (Burlington Magazine N. 1305, 2011) the article received a particular mention for the innovative results

Exploring the Influence of Female Human Capital on Entrepreneurial Orientation: A Multiple Case Study Approach
Women have currently reached positions that require behaviour and competences previously related to men. These circumstances have placed the implications of women for the entrepreneurial orientation (i.e. EO) at the centre of the debate. However, it is still an open issue what factors might drive the EO in the presence of women entrepreneurs. Based on these premises, our paper explores whether the women’s expertise and experience have implications for the EO in terms of innovativeness, risk-taking propensity and proactiveness. To this aim, it relies on a multiple case study approach and formulates ex post propositions. Our study suggests that the female human capital factors foster/moderate the woman’s personal traits in terms of risk aversion and web thinking which, in turn, affect the EO dimensions. Therefore, the article contributes to both research and practice. In particular, it provides scholars with propositions that can be empirically tested.
Moreover, it calls the attention of female entrepreneurs on how expertise and experience can affect the EO dimensions by fostering or moderating the effect of their personal traits
A Latent Markov Approach for Clustering Contracting Authorities over Time Using Public Procurement Red Flags
Public procurement is a field particularly prone to corrupt acts. In this regard, red flag indicators are developed with the purpose of signalling anomalies and alerting the system for a potential risk of corruption. By exploiting data coming from the Italian National Database of Public Contracts, a set of red flag indicators for the measurement of the risk of corruption in public procurement are computed for a sample of contracting authorities and monitored over time. Afterwards, a latent Markov model for continuous responses is applied to the data at issue, in order to: i. identify groups of contracting administrations (i.e., the model latent states), characterised by different behaviours on the basis of the selected red flags, and ii. estimate the transitions over time across the ascertained groups. Results show that seven profiles of administrations may be highlighted on account of the selected red flags. Among them, four profiles include contracting authorities with indicator values associable to a low risk, whereas one profile can be labelled as the most at-risk one according to the respective indicator means
New light-weight formable shields
The design and production of lightweight shields to reduce radiated emissions and electromagnetic interference (EMI) with sensitive electronic apparatuses and systems is a challenge for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) engineers.
An innovative lightweight shield has been developed to reduce EMI on and from printed circuit boards, while being easily shaped, and fulfilling requirements of law, production and installation costs.
This paper describes the main features of the new Protect-IT shield and its shielding performance from EM field sources in different configurations, in a radio-frequency range up to a few gigahertz
Risk Factors for Disabling and Nondisabling Neck Pain in a Large Cohort of Adolescents
Objectives: Neck pain is extremely common and represents a substantial economic burden to our society. We aimed to investigate risk factors for nondisabling and disabling neck pain in a large cohort of Italian adolescents with a cross-sectional study. Design: Six thousand two hundred eighty-one students (14-19 yrs old) answered an online questionnaire, investigating the following: anthropometric data, lifestyle-related items, neck pain frequency and intensity, need for medical examination, and several risk factors. Students who had to give up social activities because of neck complaints constituted the disabling neck pain group. Results: Our findings revealed that sex, age, sports practice, hours of sleep, and family history were risk factors ( P < 0.001) for neck pain in our cohort. Moreover, disabling neck pain group experienced neck pain more frequently ( P < 0.001) and with higher levels of pain ( P < 0.001) compared with the nondisabling group. The number of hours of sleep was the only risk factor that showed a trend to differ comparing the disabling neck pain group with the nondisabling neck pain one ( P = 0.057). Conclusions: Different risk factors for neck pain were detected in a very large cohort of adolescents. This study may pave the way for future prospective studies and for the development of preventive strategies for neck pain in adolescents. Cme objectives: Upon completion of this article, the reader should be able to: (1) Identify different risk factors for neck pain in adolescents; (2) Determine the differences between adolescents with nondisabling neck pain and disabling neck pain; and (3) Recognize that most risk factors for disabling neck pain are still unknown, but insufficient sleep quantity could potentially contribute to the development of this condition. TE and TM modes in cylindrical metallic structures filled with homogeneous bianisotropic material
Modal propagation is studied for metallic circular waveguides, coaxial cables and sectoral waveguides filled with linear bianisotropic material. By representing the material constitutive tensors in cylindrical coordinates, the conditions under which TE and TM modal decoupling occurs are obtained, and second-order differential equations for the longitudinal field components are derived. Though the TE and TM longitudinal field components are expressible in terms of hypergeometric functions, a complete numerical solution scheme is, in general, more convenient. Conventional application of finite elements renders the differential problem numerically equivalent to a generalized eigenvalue matrix problem, whose solution yields the dispersion relation and cutoff frequencies of the waveguides together with the eigenfields expression. The effects one can obtain by varying the various coefficients of the constitutive tensors are illustrated by several numerical result
