Correlation between the Altered Gut Microbiome and Lifestyle Interventions in Chronic Widespread Pain Patients: A Systematic Review
Background: Lifestyle interventions have a direct impact on the gut microbiome, changing its composition and functioning. This opens an innovative way for new therapeutic opportunities for chronic widespread patients. Purpose: The goal of the present study was to evaluate a correlation between lifestyle interventions and the gut microbiome in patients with chronic widespread pain (CWP). Methods: The systematic review was conducted until January 2023. Pain and microbiome were the two keywords selected for this revision. The search was conducted in PubMed, Chochrane, PEDro and ScienceDirect, where 3917 papers were obtained. Clinical trials with lifestyle intervention in CWP patients were selected. Furthermore, these papers had to be related with the gut microbiome, excluding articles related to other types of microbiomes. Results: Only six articles were selected under the eligibility criteria. Lifestyle interventions were exercise, electroacupuncture and ingesting a probiotic. Conclusions: Lifestyle intervention could be a suitable choice to improve the gut microbiome. This fact could be extrapolated into a better quality of life and lesser levels of pain
Deshidratación de alcoholes bencílicos promovida por ioduro de ciclohexano
Las reacciones de eliminación son sin duda métodos más accesibles y ampliamente utilizados para la obtención de alquenos, estas proceden ya sea en condiciones ácidas o básicas en donde los sustratos de partida contienen grupos salientes como Br, I, OMs, OTs, y donde a menudo se requiere de bases y/o ácidos fuertes. En este contexto, en las reacciones de deshidratación catalizadas por medio ácido regularmente requieren de altas temperaturas y la utilización de ácidos fuertes lo que conducen a la obtención de los productos deseados, pero en bajos rendimientos y la obtención de productos indeseados. En este trabajo se reporta un nuevo método para la obtención de una serie de olefinas bencílicas a partir de un conjunto de alcoholes bencílicos, mediada por la lenta liberación de un ácido fuerte el HI (pKa=-9.5) siendo la fuente de este el ioduro de ciclohexano y como reacción paralela y esperada la desmetilación de un éter bencílico.The reactions of eliminations are undoubtedly the most accessible and widely used methods for obtaining alkenes, they proceed either under acidic or basic conditions where the starting substrates contain leaving groups such as Br, I, OMs, OTs, end where often strong bases/ or acid are required. Síntesis de un glicoconjugado tipo 1,2-isopropiliden- α-D-ribofuranosil-triazol-teofilina
La síntesis de 1,2,3-triazoles constituyen un extenso campo de investigación dedicado a los glicoconjugados. La teofilina, una xantina ampliamente reconocida por su uso terapéutico en el área de la salud, así como sus derivados, constituyen a un grupo de glicoconjugados con actividad biológica prometedora. En este trabajo se reporta la síntesis de un nuevo glicoconjugado derivado de la teofilina de tipo ribofuranosil-triazol-xantina con promisoria actividad biológica debido a su forma estructural. Este nuevo andamio molecular parte de la alofuranosa-triazol-teofilina, precursor obtenido mediante una reacción de cicloadición [3+2] catalizada por CuI en condiciones térmicas clásicas, él cuál fue obtenido con buen rendimiento y caracterizado mediante espectroscopía de infrarrojo (IR) y resonancia magnética nuclear de hidrógeno (RMN ¹H).The synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles constitute an extensive field of research dedicated to glycoconjugates. Theophylline, a xanthine widely recognized for its therapeutic use in the health area, as well as its derivatives, constitute a group of glycoconjugates with promising biological activity. This paper reports the synthesis of a new glycoconjugate derived from theophylline of the ribofuranosyl-triazole-xanthine type with promising biological activity due to its structural form. This new molecular scaffold starts from allofuranose-triazole-theophylline, a precursor obtained through a [3+2] cycloaddition reaction catalyzed by CuI under classical thermal conditions, which was obtained with good yield and characterized by infrared (IR) spectroscopy and one-and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)

Síntesis de un análogo del Violaceoid A empleando como paso clave una reacción secuencial de demetilación deshidratación
En este trabajo se reporta una síntesis corta y eco amigable para la obtención de un análogo del Violaceoid A, importante agente anticancerígeno. Esta ruta sintética permite obtener de un potencial agente anticancerígeno en dos etapas principales. Por un lado, se llevó a cabo una reacción de carboxilación para la incorporación de un nuevo enlace C-C empleado como agente electrofílico al bióxido de carbono (hielo seco), la posterior reacción de desmetilación-deshidratación en un solo paso y como reacción principal nos permitió obtener al análogo en tan solo 4 pasos y en rendimientos bastante aceptables, el cual fue caracterizado por RMN-¹H y ¹³C. Este derivado se puede utilizar en el tratamiento del cáncer.In this work, a short and eco-friendly synthesis is reported to obtain an analog ofViolaceoid A, an important anticancer agent. This synthetic route offers to obtain a potential anticancer agent in two main stages.On the one hand, a carbonylation reaction was carried out for the incorporation of anew C-C bond used as an electrophilic agent to carbon dioxide (dry ice), thesubsequent demethylation-dehydration reaction in a single step and as the mainreaction allowed us obtain the potentially anticancer analog in just 4 steps and inquite acceptable yields, which was characterized by ¹H and ¹³C NMR. La abundancia relativa y los costos asequibles de muchos compuestos orgánicos quirales naturales, tales como los carbohidratos y aminoácidos puede ser mejor aprovechada para el diseño y síntesis de diversos compuestos con actividad biológica o como organocatalizadores. Estos últimos ofrecen muchas ventajas dentro de la química orgánica sintética, como son la estabilidad en condiciones acuosas o en presencia de aire, fácil manipulación y facilidad sintética. En este trabajo, se reporta la síntesis corta y eficiente de un nuevo catalizador orgánico con alto potencial catalítico, derivado de dos fragmentos quirales carbohidrato y la L-prolina unidos por un anillo triazólico.The relative abundance and affordable costs of many natural chiral organic compounds such as carbohydrates and amino acids can be better exploited for the design and synthesis of various compounds with biological activity or as organocatalysts. Las reacciones de cicloadición son una de las técnicas catalíticas más benéficas usadas en la síntesis de 1,2,3-triazoles debido a sus altos rendimientos, su simple purificación y sus cortos tiempos de reacción, protocolo que permite el acceso a nuevos templetes moleculares estructuralmente atractivos. En este trabajo se reporta la síntesis corta de un nuevo glicoconjugado o alofuranosil- triazol-bencilo, híbrido con promisoria actividad inhibitoria de la corrosión. La síntesis de este andamio sintético fue posible a través de una reacción de cicloadición tipo CuAAC entre un alquino terminal y la azida orgánica, en las condiciones de Meldal. Preparación de un plausible eje de rotaxano quiral aminoácido-esteroide
Rotaxanes are compounds that are made up of two submolecular components: a cyclic one (a ring) and a linear one (an axis) that threads the previous one and that, in addition, has bulky groups at their ends in order to keep both components intertwined. Another simple tool to keep this type of macrostructures anchored is through non-covalent bonds such as hydrogen bonds, coordination bonds with metal ions and aromatic π-π interactions, among others.
