Liquid democracy: a comparative study of digital urban democracy
In Liquid Democracy, author Yu-Shan Tseng offers a bold new framework for understanding democracy as a dynamic, fluid process. Security weakness of Tseng's fault-tolerant conference-key agreement protocola
A fault-tolerant conference-key agreement protocol establishes a shared key among participants of a conference even when some malicious participants disrupt key agreement processes. Recently, Tseng proposed a new fault-tolerant conference-key agreement protocol that only requires a constant message size and a small number of rounds. In this paper, we show that the Tseng's protocol cannot provide forward and backward confidentiality during a conference session for the proposed attack method. We also show that a simple countermeasure-re-randomizing short-term keys of some participants-to avoid the proposed attack can be broken by extending the proposed attack method. A Modified Tseng’s Method for Solving the Modified Variational Inclusion Problems and Its Applications
The goal of this study was to show how a modified variational inclusion problem can be solved based on Tseng’s method. In this study, we propose a modified Tseng’s method and increase the reliability of the proposed method. This method is to modify the relaxed inertial Tseng’s method by using certain conditions and the parallel technique. We also prove a weak convergence theorem under appropriate assumptions and some symmetry properties and then provide numerical experiments to demonstrate the convergence behavior of the proposed method. Moreover, the proposed method is used for image restoration technology, which takes a corrupt/noisy image and estimates the clean, original image. Finally, we show the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) to guarantee image quality

Meeting the challenge? Transitions out of long-term homelessness
Journey to Social Inclusion (J2SI) is a pilot project designed to break the cycle of long-term homelessness. The project provides intensive support for up to three years to assist people who are long-term homeless receive the range of services they need.
This is the second of four reports evaluating the J2SI project. It documents the social outcomes and the economic costs and benefits from the first 24 months. The evaluation uses a randomised controlled trial that tracks the outcomes of J2SI participants (Group J) and compares their outcomes with those of a comparison group (Group E) who are being supported by existing services.
After 24 months the evidence shows a sustained improvement in the housing circumstances of the J2SI participants compared to those in the control group. Critically, most (86%) have maintained their housing. While the move to independent housing was difficult in the beginning, the high rate of housing retention suggests that most of the participants are developing the skills and confidence needed to keep their housing.
The report contains the results of a cost-benefit analysis of the program after 2 years of operation.
The evaluation was conducted by researchers from RMIT University and the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research.

Cryptanalysis of Tseng-Wu Group Key Exchange Protocol
Abstract Recently, Tseng and Wu pointed out that the second protocol of Biswas's two-party keys scheme based on the Diffie-Hellman technique has a security weakness and proposed a new protocol to remedy the weakness. In this article, we point out that Tseng-Wu's protocol is vulnerable to a man-in-the-middle attack.
