Barsaurea apatani S. Singh, Kirti, & N. Singh 2023, sp. nov.
Barsaurea apatani S. Singh, Kirti, & N. Singh, sp. nov. (Figs 1, 6) Holotype: Ô, India, Arunachal Pradesh: Ziro (27.534755N, 93.820389E, 1599 m), 3.v.2018, Santosh Singh leg. (13475/H10). Diagnosis: Forewing length 15mm in male. Barsaurea apatani sp. nov. (Fig.1)closely resembles B.phaeoxanthia in its colouration and forewing markings but is distinct by the grey colour of head and vertex, brownish frons, greyish collar and patagia and darker forewing markings covering the marginal area, whereas in B. phaeoxanthia (Figs. 2, 3), the head, vertex, frons, collar, patagia and marginal area of forewing are yellowish. In male genitalia of B. apatani (Fig. 6), the uncus is shorter and more dilated subapically; the valva is shorter, broader and almost rectangular and the vesica with two diverticula, each with a cluster of strong cornuti apically, whereas in the male genitalia of B. phaeoxanthia (Fig. 7), the uncus is longer and subapically less dilated, the valva is long and narrower at apex and the vesica bears a single cluster of 1–3 cornuti apically. Distribution: So far known from its type locality only. <i>Miltochrista madathumala</i> sp. nov. <p>(Figs 3, 4, 19, 20)</p> <p>urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: 08B6F783-357D-417E-B57C-8D6BB948AA3C</p> <p> <b>Type material.</b> <b>Holotype</b>, ♂, India, <b>Kerala:</b> Ranipuram, 21.xi.2017, S. Singh leg. (13472/H10).</p> <p> <b>Paratypes:</b> 1 ♂, data same as holotype (13473/H10).</p> <p> <b>Diagnosis.</b> Adults of <i>M. hollowai</i> and other species in the group, <i>M.madathumala</i> <b>sp. nov.</b> and <i>M.kumarkaustubhi</i> <b>sp. nov</b>. are remarkably variable in their wing markings therefore, the reliable identification requires the examination of the genitalia structures. <i>Miltochrista madathumala</i> <b>sp. nov</b>. is closely similar to <i>M</i>. <i>hollowai</i> but is externally distinct by the forewing having a marginal series of black spots which are absent in <i>M. hollowai</i>. In the male genitalia of <i>M. madathumala</i> <b>sp. nov.</b> (Figs 19, 20), the uncus is shorter and subbasally dilated (it is medially dilated in <i>M. hollowai</i>), and the costa is basally setose, almost straight, apically rounded and lacking a subapical spine whereas, it is slightly convex subbasally and bearing a short ventro-subapical spine in <i>M</i>. <i>hollowai</i>. The sacculus of the new species is proximally broader and its dorsal margin is more densely covered with shorter setae than in <i>M. hollowai</i>, and the distal saccular process is moderately sclerotised, trapezoidal with a dentate ventral margin whereas, it is heavily sclerotised, leaf-shaped and densely serrulate in <i>M. hollowai</i>. Compared to <i>M. hollowai</i>, the aedeagus of <i>M. madathumala</i> <b>sp. nov.</b> is longer, narrower and bearing a larger distal crest, and the vesica is more weakly scobinated and bearing a small and slender cornutus whereas, <i>M. hollowai</i> has two robust cornuti of different sizes. <i>Neadeloides nubilus</i> N. Singh, Ranjan & H. Singh, sp. nov. <p>(Figs: 6, 7, 10, 11)</p> <p> <b>Type locality:</b> Golitar (Sikkim, India).</p> <p> <b>Type material:</b> <b>Holotype</b>, ♂, 23.iv.2014, NE India, Sikkim, Golitar, leg. H. Singh (Coll. NZCZSI). <b>Paratype</b>: 2 ♂, 5.ix.2016, India, West Bengal, Neora Valley National Park, Rishap, leg. K. Bhattacharyya (Coll. NZCZSI).</p> <p> <b>Diagnosis:</b> <i>Neadeloides nubilus</i>, <b>sp. nov.</b> belongs to the <i>N. nubilus</i> species-group, whereas both previously known species of this genus, <i>N. cinerealis</i> and <i>N. glaucoptera</i>, belong to the <i>N. cinerealis</i> species-group. The differentiation of both groups has been stated earlier.</p> <p> <b>Description.</b> Wing span: Male— 38 mm. Adults greyish brown. Head with lateral sides, underside of neck and first segment of labial palpi white, latter with first & second segment upturned, third segment porrect. Legs with tibia and tarsal segments covered in white scales. Forewing greyish brown, hindwing with costal and inner area slightly paler, both wings with fine, dark brown marginal line, cilia silvery. Male genitalia (Fig. 10) with uncus inverted u-shaped, strongly concave on posterior side, small subapical process at either side; tegumen broad, slightly bifurcated to hold similarly shaped base of uncus; small socii present; transtilla membranous. Valva broadening towards apex, costa concave with central and subapical portion outwardly angled, apical flap of saccular process and central flap on inner wall closely approximated; ventral margin slightly convex; sacculus process broad rectangular with a small, setose apical flap; another setosed flap at the centre of inner wall of valva and in closely proximity of the apical flap of the sacculus process. Juxta small, short, u-shaped with lateral, small triangles; saccus u-shaped; aedeagus short, slightly s-shaped with a bulbous coecum at the anterior end and two sclerotized posterior processes: one is robust, slightly S-shaped, with one edge dentate, and the other is simple elongated; vesica with field of scobination (cornuti in <i>Neadeloides</i> are deciduous in nature so they may be secondarily lost after copulation).</p> <p> <b>Etymology:</b> The species epithet of the new species is derived from the Latin word <i>nubilus,</i> meaning dark.</p> <p> <b>Taxonomic note:</b> We studied three specimens of <i>N. nubilus</i>, <b>sp. nov.</b> and found some variations: in holotype, forewing and valva of male genitalia are slightly broader than both the paratypes; in vesica of holotype, spines are absent. But as the cornuti in <i>Neadeloides</i> are deciduous in nature so they may be secondarily lost after copulation. In the present study, we are considering these variations as intraspecific. Na2Ti6O13 Thin films as Anode for Thin Film Sodium Ion Batteries
The pulsed laser deposition was employed to produce Na2Ti6O13 (NTO) thin films, which were applied as an anode material for Sodium-Ion batteries (SIBs). X-ray diffraction made it clear that the film is crystalline in single phase. Morphology and elemental composition studies were done using FESEM. Grain size and surface roughness was measured from atomic force microscopy. The electrochemical measurements were performed at 0.5 - 3V range and it exhibited the initial discharge capacity was 49.7 mu Ah/mu m-cm(2) with coulombic efficiency 69.8%
