Tukad Bindu is one on the river-based tourist attractions in Denpasar Bali which has been visited by domestic tourists. However, it has not got a well planning strategy to establish this tourism sites sustainably and become a competitive destination in Denpasar City. This research aims to identify the development potential along Tukad Bindu, Denpasar, Bali, using qualitative methods and applying SWOT analysis. The research location focused on the revitalization of the river as a driver of tourism and increased agricultural productivity, tourist attractions, and active community participation. The results showed that the S-O (Strengths-Opportunity) strategy can be applied by preserving river revitalization as a carrying capacity for tourism while increasing agricultural productivity and tourist attractions. The S-T (Strengths-Threats) strategy can be done by empowering the community through active participation to overcome potential threats. The W-O (weaknesses-opportunities) strategy involves providing education and counselling through the Denpasar City Environment Agency to local communities. Meanwhile, the W-T (Weaknesses-Threats) strategy emphasizes cooperation with the government and the private sector to increase tourism promotion, develop cultural agricultural attractions, and maintain the sustainability of the program in the future. This research recommends the implementation of these strategies as concrete steps in maximizing the development potential around Tukad Bindu, Denpasar, and Bali. The implementation of these strategies is expected to have a positive impact on tourism, agriculture, and the welfare of the local community

The early stage liver diseases prediction is an important health related research and using this kind of research easily can predict the diseases and take the remedies. The liver diseases are classified into different types such as liver cancer, liver tumor, fatty liver, hepatitis, cirrhosis etc. Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease is a kind of chronic disease which rigorous prediction is quite difficult at early stages. The prediction of fatty liver plays significant role in treating the disease and also constraining the next health consequences. This paper presents Machine Learning Algorithms based Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) prediction. The main objective of this project is to identify the potential factors causing NAFLD by using Machine Learning algorithms like Decision Tree (DT) classifier, Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier, Random Forest (RF) classifier, Logistic regression (LR). Accuracy is used parameter for performance analysis evaluation. The findings of this paper show that random forest model accurately predicts a non-alcoholic fatty liver disease patient.Published By: Blue Eyes Intelligence Engineering and Sciences Publication (BEIESP) © Copyright: All rights reserved

Simulation based Analysis of Transformerless Photovoltaic Inverter Topologies for Reactive Power handling Capability

    No full text
This study investigates the reactive power generation capability of the existing transformerless Photovoltaic Inverter Topologies (PVIT) with their conventional switching strategies. The topologies such as H5, families of H6 (H6, H6-I, H6-II, H6-III and H6-IV), HERIC, and clamped topologies (optimized H5, passive clamped H6 and HBZVR) have been selected for analysis. Matlab/Simulink simulation platform is employed for the analysis of PVIT. It has been observed that transformer-less PVIT with their conventional switching strategies are not suitable for reactive power injection. These topologies are generating highly distorted current at zero crossings during the reactive power flow. The improved switching strategies are needed to make these topologies suitable for the reactive power applications without any modification in the structure of the inverter

An in vivo Evaluation of Ultra-fine Grained Titanium Implants

    No full text
The present work focuses mainly on an in vivo evaluation of ultra fine grained titanium (UFG-Ti) obtained by severe plastic deformation (SPD). The SPD on, commercially produced Grade 2 titanium (Cp-Ti) resulted in the refinement of the grain size by several orders of magnitude. Polished surfaces having similar roughness from both UFG-Ti and Cp-Ti were prepared. In vitro test revealed the presence of fibronectin, which was involved in the attachment of the cells to the substrate. Phase contrast micrographs showed the highest signal of fibronectin in UFG-Ti, indicating that it is more cytocompatible than Cp-Ti. In vivo tests, by subcutaneous implantation of the metals in the rats showed the better biocompatibility of UFG-Ti over Cp-Ti. The improved biocompatibility of UFG-Ti was attributed to the presence of surface discontinuities (in the form of nano-defects), surface energy, higher wettability, surface stress and stable TiO2 films, which increased the protein adsorption on the surface

From rods to helices: Evidence of a screw-like nematic phase

    No full text
Evidence of a special chiral nematic phase is provided using numerical simulation and Onsager theory for systems of hard helical particles. This phase appears at the high density end of the nematic phase, when helices are well aligned, and is characterized by the C2 symmetry axes of the helices spiraling around the nematic director with periodicity equal to the particle pitch. This coupling between translational and rotational degrees of freedom allows a more efficient packing and hence an increase of translational entropy. Suitable order parameters and correlation functions are introduced to identify this screw-like phase, whose main features are then studied as a function of radius and pitch of the helical particles. Our study highlights the physical mechanism underlying a similar ordering observed in colloidal helical flagella[E. Barry, Z. Hensel, Z. Dogic, M. Shribak, and R. Oldenbourg, Phys. Rev. Lett.96, 018305 (2006)] and raises the question of whether it could be observed in other helical particle systems, such as DNA, at sufficiently high densities
