No full textIl saggio discute la lenta composizione dell’Adone di G.B. Marino. A partire dall’esame di alcuni episodi vengono avanzate delle ipotesi sulla cronologia di precisi scorci del poema e sulla dinamica di una stesura avvenuta attraverso l’aggregazione di frammenti ed episodi sull’asse della favola principale. Allo stesso fine vengono ripresi e analizzati i rapporti tra l’Adone e altre opere mariniane e vengono discussi alcuni dati ricavabili dalla prima redazione del poema, parziale, databile al 1616. The essay takes into account the very long time Marino took to write and finish his Adone. Starting from some particular episodes, the author tries to date some sections of the poem while shedding light on the dynamics of the whole composition, in which the original story was enriched with always new fragments and incidents. The relationships between Adone and other works by Marino are analyzed from the same viewpoint. Some data drawn from the first draft of the poem (1616) are also discussed. Chapter I analyzes the relationship of Tasso’s epic poetry with the model of Petrarch; chapter II discusses Tasso’s reading of italian ancient poets published in Giuntina di Rime antiche (1527). Chapters III and V provide manuscript documents on Gerusalemme distrutta and on Marino’s project to move to England and Flanders during 1615. Chapter IV, with a new edition of a preliminary text of Lira III (1614), gives new details on several works of Marino, and especially on Epistole eroiche and Polinnia.The volume contains studies devoted to Tasso and Marino.
