Microphotina viridula n. sp. (Figs 3, 4) urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: DD4D8CBA-AFB1-4BA5-A42E-D54E259BFD3C MATÉRIEL TYPE. — Holotype. ♂ Guyane, massif du Mitaraka, 25.II-26.III.2015, La Planète revisitée, MNHN PNI Guyane 2015 (APA-973-1), préparation R. Roy 4667, numéro d’inventaire MNHN-EP-EP3566. Paratypes. 9 ♂ idem holotype dont l’un préparation 4665; 3 ♂ idem, 12-20.VIII.2015, dont l’un préparation 4666, MNHN. AUTRE MATÉRIEL EXAMINÉ. — 3 ♂ idem holotype, en mauvais état (abdomen incomplet). LOCALITÉ TYPE. — Guyane, massif du Mitaraka (seule localité). DIAGNOSE. — Petite taille, coloration vert pâle, aspect tout à fait semblable aux deux autres espèces connues pour le genre, présentes également en Guyane, mais s’en distinguant immédiatement par la plaque sous-génitale à extrémité échancrée à angle droit portant des styles très courts, et non presque droite ou convexe. ÉTYMOLOGIE. — Du latin viridis, vert avec suffixe ula, petit. DESCRIPTION Mâle Coloration générale. Vert pâle. Mesures. Longueur du corps 29-31 mm, du pronotum 7,6- 8,1 mm, des élytres 21-23 mm (Fig. 3). Tête. Large de 4,3-4,6 mm, espace entre les yeux de 3,0- 3,4 mm, écusson frontal de 1,9-2,0 mm; ocelles globuleux, très rapprochés; antennes longues d’environ 18 mm, claires à leur base puis progressivement plus sombres avec des articles plus longs; palpes clairs. Pronotum. 3,9-4,2 plus long que large, sa plus grande largeur 1,8-2,0 mm, sa plus petite 0,9-1,1 mm. Pattes antérieures. Hanches longues de 5,1-5,5 mm, fémurs de 6,2-6,8 mm, tibias de 4,6-4,9 mm. Fémurs avec 4 épines discoïdales, 5 externes et 14 internes comme c’est la règle pour le genre; tibias avec 14-17 épines externes et 13-16 épines internes. Pattes médianes. Fémurs longs de 7,0- 7,4 mm, tibias de 5,4-5,7 mm. Pattes postérieures. Fémurs longs de 7,7-8,0 mm et tibias de 8,2-8,8 mm. Élytres. Larges de 6,5-7 mm, vert très pâle transparent; ailes environ 1 mm moins longues, également transparentes. Abdomen. Large d’environ 2,5 mm, vert pâle. Plaque suranale transverse; cerques longs d’environ 2,5 mm, à dernier article pointu. Plaque sous-génitale allongée, à bord postérieur échancré à angle droit, portant des styles à peine plus longs que larges (Fig. 4A). Genitalia. Hypophallus avec le prolongement droit sinueux, très long et terminé en pointe, peu distant de l’hypophallus dès sa base; apophyse de l’épiphallus droit assez courte; épiphallus gauche allongé recourbé et terminé en pointe fine (Fig. 4C, D); pseudophallus en petit triangle peu sclérifié (Fig. 4B). Femelle inconnue. REMARQUE Par son habitus cette nouvelle espèce apparaît peu différente de M. vitripennis (Saussure, 1872), décrite de Cayenne, mais la conformation de ses genitalia montre qu’elle est beaucoup plus proche de M. viridescens (Chopard, 1912), décrite du nord de la Guyane (voir François & Roy 2015).Published as part of Roy R., 2019, Les mantes (Dictyoptera, Mantodea) du massif du Mitaraka (Guyane), in Touroult J.
