    Greta Pratt is the author of two books, Using History and In Search of the Corn Queen. Pratt’s works are represented in major public and private collections, including The Smithsonian American Art Museum, The Museum of Contemporary Photography and The Museum of Fine Arts Houston. Pratt was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize and worked as photography bureau chief of Reuters International in New York City. Her photographs have been featured in The New York Times Magazine and The New Yorker. Pratt is currently an Assistant Professor of Photography at Old Dominion University

    This collection contains certificates, vital documents, letters of recommendation, military documents, emigration documents, and photographs related to Greta Bayer's father, Friedrich Stux (born 1888), and her stepfather, Wilhelm Freud (1887-1966).A German language, Jewish prayer book has been removed to the LBI Library. It is dedicated by its anonymous female author (Verfasserin) and the book’s publisher to Louise von Rothschild, wife of Mr. A. Carl von Rothschild in Frankfurt am Main.A tablecloth, allegedly woven in honor of Francis' I. coronation in 1804, showing faintly the skyline of Vienna with a profile of Francis I. has been removed to the LBI Art and Objects Collection.Greta Bayer's stepfather, Wilhelm Freud was born 1887 in Vienna, Austria, the son of Carl Freud and Fanny née Kohn. He was a lieutenant in the Imperial Austrian army, and later the director of sales for the Berlin oil company "Olex" (Deutsche Benzin und Petroleum GmbH). He immigrated to the US in 1940 via Belgium and Great Britain and died 1966 in Florida.Friedrich Stux was an attorney in Czechoslovakia, born in Vienna in 1888 to Leopold Stux and Theresia (Rösi) née Löb. In 1939, he emigrated to Great Britain, where he died. He was married to Anna née Tobias (1892, Vienna - 1968, California), and their daughter was Greta Bayer.Processeddigitize

    Il contributo affronta lo studio di un’antefissa figurata in terracotta rinvenuta nel corso delle indagini archeologiche condotte dall’Università di Padova nell’area del teatro romano di Aquileia (fondo ex Comelli). Il lavoro mira in primo luogo a ricostruire il soggetto della raffigurazione e successivamente a inquadrare la funzione e l’originaria collocazione del manufatto. L’antefissa è caratterizzata da una testa di Gorgone al centro di una palmetta che fuoriesce da un cespo d’acanto e fu probabilmente realizzata in una fornace nel territorio di Teor (Udine). In base a un confronto stringente sembra possibile ipotizzare che fosse originariamente impiegata nella basilica forense, non lontano dal teatro

Facultad de Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Diseño; ArgentinaFibra Nativa se localiza en un terreno vacante en Alto Comedero, Jujuy, abierto tanto a la Ruta Nacional Nº 9 como al corazón del barrio, cuyo tejido predominante repite el de los planes de vivienda social. Próximo al lote se encuentra la feria Copacabana, una gran feria informal tradicional que atrae gente de toda la región. El proyecto propone una infraestructura que se vincula con el contexto y conforma el paisaje. A su vez, se relaciona con la industria textil, generando puestos de trabajo y otorgando espacios facilitadores para la cohesión social, educación e investigación. Buscamos un futuro sustentable para esta industria con un espacio en el que se investigue el desarrollo de las nuevas tecnologías ecológicas que promuevan el trabajo interdisciplinario y amplíen el panorama de estudio de textiles en Argentina. La innovación estará basada en la utilización de residuos textiles y técnicas regionales que reforzarán el sentido de identidad y apropiación de la sociedad. Además se impulsará el desarrollo de emprendimientos textiles, acompañando y potenciando el carácter de la feria y brindando a la comunidad una salida laboral a partir de la instrucción en los oficios que puedan volver a insertarlos en el sistema. La intervención busca tejer el barrio con la feria y el parque. Es una galería resuelta a través de un módulo que se repite y está compuesta por dos filas de pórticos.
