    "British Bulldogs". Two biplanes. These two Bristol Bulldogs flown by squadron leader Summers and Flight Lt. Sims arrived Darwin at 10.30am, March 19, 1932 from Point Cook (Vic.) Along with six Westland Wapiti they formed a RAAF contingent to greet three RAF supermarine Southhampton flying boats (S.1127, S1128, S.1162) of 205 squadron commanded by Wing Commander Wright from Singapore. They arrived Darwin on March 22, 1932 and had accompanied German aviatrix Elli Beinhorn across the Timor Sea.
