San Rocco is a magazine about architecture.
San Rocco does not solve problems. It is not a useful magazine.
San Rocco is neither serious nor friendly.
San Rocco is written by architects. As such, San Rocco is neither par- ticularly intelligent nor philologically accurate.
San Rocco is serious. It takes the risk of appearing naive.
San Rocco will not last forever. There will be no more than 20 San Roccos over the course of the magazine’s ve-year plan.
San Rocco is the name of a place in Monza that is not a nice one. In 1971, Giorgio Grassi and Aldo Rossi engaged in a design competition for San Rocco. In the end, the project they designed was not built; ordinary housing blocks were built instead.
A few negligible drawings of the San Rocco project have survived in old monographs, along with a black-and-white photograph of the competition model. It is a picture taken from above of the white plaster model. Close to the buildings there is a large label that reads “MONZA SAN ROCCO scala 1:500” and whose lettering is in such high relief that it casts dramatic shadows

Gabriel García Márquez and the cinema : life and works / Alessandro Rocco.
Rocco focuses on Gabriel GarciÌa MaÌrquez's relations with the world of cinema and gives us the first detailed study of the author's wide-ranging filmography. A unique and indeed indispensable addition to the critical literature on a writer of world importance. Gerald Martin, author of Gabriel GarciÌa MaÌrquez: A Life Far from being an occasional occupation, GarciÌa MaÌrquez's film work forms an intrinsic part of his overall aesthetic and literary poetics. The book's primary aim is to present a detailed study of GarciÌa MaÌrquez's wide-ranging filmography, which has never received a comprehensive, systematic analysis. Rocco argues that it should be recognised as an integral part of the author's narrative output, and brought into the mainstream of studies concerning his literary activity. The first part of the book reconstructs the trajectory of GarciÌa MaÌrquez's career in cinema and his connections with the world of film. The second part looks at all his screenplays on which actual films have been based. These are examined chronologically, but also analysed according to thematic and aesthetic concerns and placed in relation to the novels and short stories with which they are 'twinned'. Alessandro Rocco is Researcher in Latin American Literature and Culture at the University of Bari, ItalyTitle from publisher's bibliographic system (viewed on 24 Feb 2023).Rocco focuses on Gabriel GarciÌa MaÌrquez's relations with the world of cinema and gives us the first detailed study of the author's wide-ranging filmography. Incontinence and impotence are the two chief drawbacks of radical prostatectomy (RP). Incontinence is the most relevant for most of the patients, even if there is high variability in terms of prevalence and definition of continence. Incontinence seems the result of several factors, the most important being the surgical injury of some structures and the biomechanical instability associated with vesicourethral anastomosis. In the posterior urethra, which guarantees the continence mechanism, two functionally independent regions can be recognized: the proximal and the distal. The proximal region can be identified with the bladder neck, while the distal region is the rhabdosphincter urethrae. Concerning the distal functional region, two kinds of strategy can be applied: the preservation of puboprostatic ligaments and urethral attachments, or the reconstruction of the urethral rhabdosphincter, which can be anterior, posterior or total. We describe our technique of choice for posterior reconstruction, first described by Rocco and then modified by Patel et al
Vanessa Rocco
Dr. Vanessa Rocco is Professor of Humanities and Fine Arts at Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, and former Associate Curator at the International Center of Photography in New York. Her presentation was entitled Photofascism . Photography and fascism in interwar Europe developed into a highly toxic and combustible formula. The use of visual imagery in 1930s Germany and Italy is a potent case study for every generation, particularly in our current global political environment. Rocco’s book Photofascism demonstrates how dictatorial regimes have deployed photographic mass media, methodically and in combination with aggressive display techniques, to manufacture consent among their publics, oftentimes with highly destructive — even catastrophic — results.https://egrove.olemiss.edu/art_talks/1018/thumbnail.jp
