Inequality Aversion, Self-Interest and Social Connectedness
This data accompanies the paper Robson, M., (2021), "Inequality Aversion, Self-Interest and Social Connectedness", Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. The paper runs an incentivised lab-in-the-field experiment in order to study giving behaviour where the social connectedness to recipients varies. Data and code are provided to allow for the replication of the experiment and results of the paper. Data sets include the observed behaviour, demographics and design parameters from the experiment, alongside estimated preference parameters. z-Tree code is provided so others can run the experiment and statistical code in MATLAB, R and Stata are provided to allow others to undertake data reshaping, econometric analysis, preference parameter estimation and graphical analysis. A detailed summary is included in the Documentation.pdf, and should be read first. Please email with any queries and do let me know if you intend to use the data or methods, I would be excited to hear of your research

Towards a Simpler Selection Process for Maintenance Strategies
Recent research at four large manufacturing sites in the North East of England showed that maintenance
organisations were failing because they were locked in a cycle of quick fix and mend despite deploying extensive
planned maintenance policies. Consequently they were unable to plan and formulate strategies because they did
not have the time. Simple and quick tools were needed to select the best maintenance approach for the machines
and the plant. Two possible selection tools were developed. Firstly a truth table was produced based on the key
characteristics of each maintenance approach and these mapped against simplified failure mode combinations.
This offered a quick and easy selection method for machines, based on failure mode patterns. Secondly, the
macro level was addressed using a conceptual model employing a 2x2 matrix. This consisted of two axes, the
level of machine failures and the level of improvement activity. The resulting framework was used to predict
how maintenance organisations would progress from a state of reactive maintenance towards world class. Then
informed by the truth table it was possible to select an appropriate maintenance approach which was most
suitable for each stage. It is suggested that these two methods offer simple and quick approaches to guide vital
maintenance decision making at plants in difficulty. This of course does not preclude the need to develop
maintenance strategies but rather facilitates this process by freeing up time and resources
Book of the month: Kennetta Hammond Perry's London is the Place for Me
Author: Desmond L. Kemp Indiana University Purdue University Our book recommendation of the month is London is the Place for me whereby activism in London and America has been an ongoing challenge for Black people. Perry delivers a solid account of how post-war Afro-Caribbean migrants resisted British racism to establish their citizenship in England. The introduction begins with a calypso music tribute in "Windrush Politics", sets the tone of social history for migrants with a tale of the arr..
Revolutionary encouters: the Arkhétypos Group and its poetics disobediences
The following course conclusion work is the result of the scientific initiation research carried out at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) entitled “Pedagogical Aspects of the Ritual Theatre” under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Robson Carlos Haderchpek. This research gave me the possibility to find ways to decolonize the imaginary and mainly to investigate actions of poetic disobedience based on the bodily and dramaturgical practices that the Arkhétypos Theatral Group has been developing for 10 years. Based on an empirical methodology, I tried to analyze my path with the Group and discuss how I came to understand its ritualistic theatrical activity as a poetic disobedience in itself.O seguinte trabalho de conclusão de curso é decorrente da pesquisa de iniciação cientifica realizada na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) intitulada “Aspectos Pedagógicos do Teatro Ritual” sob a orientação do Prof. Dr. Robson Carlos Haderchpek.

Dynamics of Network Formation Processes in the Co-Author Model
This article studies the dynamics in the formation processes of a mutual consent network in game theory setting: the Co-Author Model. In this article, a limited observation is applied and analytical results are derived. Then, 2 parameters are varied: the number of individuals in the network and the initial probability of the links in the network in its initial state. A simulation result shows a finding that is consistent with an analytical result for a state of equilibrium while it also shows different possible equilibria.Dynamics, Network, Game Theory, Model,Simulation, Equilibrium, Complexity
