Farnsworth, Jesse Baldwin, Walter S. Tolton and William Low, as councilmen; Charles Shipp, recorder. 1894-5-Marcus L. Shepherd became mayor, with Robert Stoney, J. Baldwin, S. F. Howd, William Low and S. L. Tanner as councilmen ; Charles Shipp, recorder. 1896-7-Mayor, William H. Bakes ; Edward Fernley, Thomas Parkinson, D. M. Gillies, Heber H. Ashworth and Heber C. Dean, councilmen ; James Ashworth, recorder. Mayor William Bakes died October 8, and Edward Fern-ley was appointed to fill the chair until end of the term. Wilford Robinson was chosen to act as councilman in Mr. Fernley's place. 1898-99-Frank D. Farnsworth, mayor; Joseph R. Murdock, Joseph H. Cartwright, J. E. Bennett, John E. Skinner and James H. Skinner, councilmen ; Walter S. Tolton, recorder. During this administration a Board of Health was established. Board members were : Dr. George H. Fennemore, Enoch E. Cowdell and William Fotheringham. Ernest A. Hodges petitioned the council and was granted the right to construct a telephone line from Beaver City to the Beaver Branch of the B. Y. A. (Brigham Young Academy) located at Fort Cameron. 1900-01-Frank D. Farnsworth, mayor ; N. P. Ipson, James H. Yardley, S. F. Howd, James Farrer and J. E. Bennett, councilmen; Mary 'T. White, recorder. Under this supervision the city boundary line was changed. William . R. Hurst and W. M. White were employed to make a map of Beaver City at a cost of $125. This map is 6x9 feet, and hangs on the wall in the city office. The workmanship is outstanding and is often admired by men from out of town who have occasion to visit the office.
