Patient perspectives of participating in the cardiac CopenHeartRFA rehabilitation program for patients treated with ablation for atrial fibrillation

Four categories were identified and labeled: 1) strengthening belief in one’s own physical capacity and survival; 2) still struggling with fear of AF symptoms; 3) a need for support to move on; and 4) regaining confidence in one’s own mental strength with support from professionals. Conclusion: The four themes describe a positive experience from participating in the rehabilitation program. The rehabilitation program promoted self-efficacy for engaging in physical activity and the benefit of a safe environment for processing the emotional responses and the value of the therapeutic relationship between the patient and the rehabilitation provider. Opportunities for encouraging 3-4 years old children's independence in kindergarten
Darba autors: Signe Podiņa. Bakalaura darba temats: „Bērnu patstāvības veicināšanas iespējas pirmsskolā 3 līdz 4 gadu vecumā”. Darba mērķis: teorētiski un empīriski izpētīt 3-4 gadu vecuma bērnu patstāvības veicināšanas iespēju izmantošanu pedagoģiskajā procesā. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 2 daļām – teorētiskās un empīriskās. Teorētiskajā daļā raksturots „patstāvības” jēdziens vairāku pedagogu un psihologu (Sokrats, F. Rablē, R. Harē, A. Bandura, D. Ričlaks, M. Montessori u.c.) darbos, kā arī svarīgākas patstāvības koncepcijas, izpētīti patstāvības komponenti. Bakalaura darba ietvaros analizētas jaunākā pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu kognitīvās un emocionālās attīstības likumsakarības, kā arī izvērtēti pedagoģiskie paņēmieni bērnu patstāvības veicināšanai. Darba empīriskajā daļā veikta vecāku aptauja ar nolūku noskaidrot viņu attieksmi un izpratni par bērnu patstāvības veicināšanas nozīmi un viņu lomu šajā procesā, kā arī bērnu novērošana ar mērķi novērtēt viņu patstāvības attīstības līmeni. Izstrādāti un aprobēti tematiskie bloki, kas satur veselu virkni nodarbību ar bērniem (didaktiskās spēles, praktiskie vingrinājumi, kustību rotaļas un lomu spēles, kā arī izglītojošās un mākslinieciskās darbības nodarbības) un viņu vecākiem (tematiskās sapulces, grupas un individuālās konsultācijas), kā arī veikta pētījuma rezultātu apstrāde un analīze. Iegūto datu analīze liecina par pozitīvo dinamiku bērnu patstāvības attīstībā: salīdzinot datus, kas bija iegūti pētījuma sākumā un noslēgumā, var secināt, ka patstāvības attīstības līmenis ir ievērojami paaugstinājies. Pateicoties pedagoģiskā izmēģinājuma gaitā iegūtām zināšanām, bērni kļuva aktīvāki, novērota viņu tieksme pēc radošuma, neatlaidība un centieni organizatorisko jautājumu risināšanā. The topic of the Bachelor`s thesis: „Opportunities for encouraging 3-4 years old children`s independence in kindergarden”. The goal of the research paper: to study the independence encouragement possibility usage in the pedagogical process with children from the age of 3 to 4 both, theoretically and empirically. The Bachelor`s thesis consists a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part the concept of “independence” was characterized in the works of several educators and psychologists (Socrates, F. Rabelais, R. Hare, A. Bandura, D. Richlak, M. Montessori u.c.), as well as more significant independence concepts and independence components have been studied. Within the framework of the Bachelor`s thesis, cognitive and emotional development patterns of the youngest pre-school age children have been analyzed, as well as the pedagogical approaches have been evaluated for children`s independence fostering. During the empirical part of the research paper, a parents` survey was carried out with the goal of clarifying their attitude and comprehension regarding the children`s independence fostering significance, and their role in the process. Also, the children`s observation was carried out with the goal of evaluating the level of their independence. Thematic blocks have been developed and approbated, which contain a row of activities with children (didactic games, practical exercises, movement games and role plays, as well as educational and artistic activity classes) and their parents (thematic meetings, group and individual consultations), as well as the research result processing and analysis was carried out. The obtained data analysis shows positive dynamic in children`s independence development. By comparing the data obtained at the beginning and in the end of the research, it can be concluded that the independence level has increased significantly. Due to the knowledge acquired during the pedagogical experiment, the children became more active, also their tendency for creativity, persistence and efforts towards the organizational issue solving were observed. Creation and implementation of seller`s Evaluation System in EVA-SAT Ltd.
Darba autore Kristīne Ločmele. Bakalaura darbs „Pārdevēju novērtēšanas sistēmas izstrāde un ieviešana SIA „EVA-SAT”. Rīga, Latvijas Universitāte, 2017. Balstoties uz iegūto teorētisko bāzi un praktiskajiem pētījumiem, autore analizēja pieejamo literatūru saistībā ar darbinieku novērtēšanu, novērtēšanas īpatnībām mazumtirdzniecības un klientu apkalpošanas sfērās, analizēja novērtēšanas veidus un procesa elementus. Bakalaura darba empīriskajā daļā autore veica profesijas standartu analīzi dažādos ar pārdošanu saistītos amatos, veica konkurentu izpētes analīzi, kompetenču analīzi, nestrukturētās klātienes intervijas un konsultācijas ar veikalu vadītājiem un uzņēmuma valdi, kā arī analizēja darbinieku darba rezultātus un veica to novērošanu. Balstoties uz iegūto teorētisko bāzi un vadītāju viedokļiem, autore izveidoja kompetenču modeli uzņēmuma tirdzniecības darbiniekiem. Izveidoto kompetenču modeli autore izmantoja novērtēšanas anketas izstrādei. Ar bakalaura darba rezultātu – izstrādātu pārdevēju kompetenču modeli un novērtēšanas sitēmu, autore ir iepazīstinājusi darbiniekus un izzinājusi viņu viedokli. Pārdevēju novērtēšanu pirmo reizi ir plānots īstenot 2017. gada decembrī. Informācijas ieguvei tika izmantotas kvalitatīvās pētījuma metodes: literatūras analīzes metode, konkurentu izpētes analīze, pārdošanas darbinieku novērošana un darba izpildes analīze, kā arī nestrukturētās klātienes intervijas. Based on the obtained theoretical basis and practical research, Author`s analysis of the literature available related to the assessment of employees, the characteristics of evaluation in retail and customer service, as well as the types of assessment and process elements. In the Empirical part of the Bachelor's thesis, the Author did research about the profession standards in various sales related positions by conducting a competitor's research analysis, competency analysis, unstructured face-to-face interviews and consultations with shop managers and company management. The research included analysing and supervising the results of the work of employees. Based on the theoretical background and opinion of the management, the Author developed a model of competence for company sales representatives. The developed competence model was used by the Author to build an assessment questionnaire. With the results obtained by Bachelor's thesis – the model of sales representative competence and assessment system was made. Author presented this model to the employees and collected feedback. Evaluation will be performed for the first time in December 2017. The qualitative research methods were used for obtaining information, such as: literature analysis, the data gained of research of the competitors, observation of sales representatives and analysis of work performance, as well as unstructured face-to-face interviews. Quality of life and symptom experience measurement tools in adults with atrial fibrillation:a scoping review protocol
OBJECTIVE: The objective of this scoping review is to identify and map measurement tools for evaluating disease-specific quality of life and symptoms in adults with atrial fibrillation. The review will also identify key concepts that differentiate quality of life from symptom experience.INTRODUCTION: Quality of life is a broad concept influenced by physical health, psychological state, degree of independence, and social/functional status. Symptoms of a chronic disease may influence quality of life through their effect on an individual's perception of physical health. Symptom experience is distinct from quality of life; however, the distinction is ill-defined, resulting in conceptual overlap in the measurement tools used to assess these concepts in patients with atrial fibrillation.INCLUSION CRITERIA: Included manuscripts will describe a scale, index, questionnaire, checklist, or other form of measurement tool designed to assess quality of life or symptom experience in adults with atrial fibrillation or supraventricular arrhythmia. Peer-reviewed research manuscripts and systematic reviews, gray literature, and conceptual/theoretical papers will be included.METHODS: The review will follow the JBI methodology for scoping reviews. MEDLINE, CINAHL, PsycINFO, the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and Embase will be searched, as well as Google Scholar, MedNar, and OpenGrey. Articles will be considered if they are published in English, Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian, with no date limitation. The title and abstract of each article will be independently screened by two authors, followed by full-text review of remaining articles, according to the inclusion criteria. Aktualitāte:
Uzmanības deficīta un hiperaktivitātes sindroms (UDHS) ir viens no visizplatītākajiem psihiatriskajiem traucējumiem, kas saistīts ar bērna neirālo attīstību. Tas skar 5 – 8% bērnu, galvenokārt zēnus, un bieži vien ilgst līdz pieauguša cilvēka vecumam (WHO, 2019). Pēdējo 20 gadu laikā ir novērots nepārtraukts uzmanības deficīta un hiperaktivitātes sindroma diagnozes pieaugums. Iegūtie dati atspoguļo UDHS izplatības pieaugumu no 6,1% līdz 10,2% 20 gadu periodā (no 1997. līdz 2016. gadam) (Abdelnour, 2022).
Pētījuma mērķis:
Apkopot un analizēt pēdējo 10 gadu laikā veiktos pētījumus par uz bērnu centrētas spēles terapijas metodes efektivitāti uz uzvedības izpausmēm bērniem ar uzmanības deficīta un hiperaktivitātes sindromu.
Pētījuma metodes:
Pētījuma dizains: tika izstrādāts sistemātisks literatūras pārskats. Pētījumi tika meklēti tādās datu bāzēs kā ScienceDirect, Researchgate, PubMed, EBSCO, izmantojot atslēgas vārdus: Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Behavior, Inattention, Hyperactivity, Impulsivity. Bakalaura darbā ietverti randomizēti kontrolēti pētījumi par uz bērnu centrētas spēles terapijas metodes pielietojumu uzvedības izpausmju (impulsivitātes, uzmanības deficīta un hiperaktivitātes) mazināšanai bērniem ar uzmanības deficīta un hiperaktivitātes sindromu.
Pētījuma rezultāti: Abbasi R., Saghi F., 2023, Hoomanian D., et al., 2016 un Teimourian S., et al., 2020 pētījumos intervences grupas rezultāti statistiski nozīmīgi (P≤0.05) atšķīrās no kontroles grupas rezultātiem, kas liecina par BCST metodes efektivitāti uz UDHS uzvedības izpausmju mazināšanu.
Secinājumi: Pielietojot BCST metodi ir iespējams uzlabot uzvedības simptomu izpausmes - nervozitāti un depresiju, agresiju un sociālo nesaderību, hiperaktivitāti un impulsivitāti, sociālās problēmas, noteikumu pārkāpšanas uzvedību un agresīvu uzvedību.

Actuality:
Attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common psychiatric disorders associated with a child's neural development. It affects 5 – 8% of children, mostly boys, and often lasts until adulthood (WHO, 2019). Over the past 20 years, there has been a steady increase in diagnosis of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder. The findings reflect an increase in the prevalence of ADHD from 6.1% to 10.2% over a 20-year period (from 1997. to 2016.) (Abdelnour, 2022).
Aim of the study:
Collect and analyze studies conducted over the past 10 years on the efficacy of a child-centered play therapy method on behavioral interferences in children with attention deficit and hyperactivity syndrome.
Methods:
Study design: a systematic literature review. The research was sought in databases such as
ScienceDirect, Researchgate, PubMed, EBSCO using keywords: Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Behavior, Inattention, Hyperactivity, Impulsivity. The Bachelor's thesis includes randomized controlled trial of the use of a child-centered game therapy method to reduce behavioral expressions (impulsivity, attention deficit, and hyperactivity) in children with attention deficit and hyperactivity syndrome.
Results: In the Abbasi R., Saghi F., 2023, Hoomanian D., et al., 2016 and Teimourian S., et al., 2020 the results of the intervention differed statistically significantly (P ≤ 0.05) from those of the control group, suggesting the efficacy of the CCPT method on reducing behavioral expressions of ADHD behaviour.
Conclusions: Using the CCPT method, it is possible to improve expressions of behavioral symptoms - nervousness and depression, aggression and social incompatibility, hyperactivity and impulsivity, social problems, rule-breaking and aggressive behavior.

Encouraging self-help skills of 2-3 year old children via games
Bakalaura darba temats: 2 – 3 gadīgu bērnu pašapkalpošanās prasmju sekmēšana rotaļā. Autore: Signe Freimane. Pētījuma mērķis: teorētiski analizēt un praktiski pētīt pašapkalpošanās prasmju sekmēšanas iespējas rotaļās 2 – 3 gadīgiem bērniem. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no divām daļām: teorētiskās un praktiskās. Teorētiskajā daļā tika analizētas un salīdzinātas dažādu praktiķu un teorētiķu domas, kas skar pašapkalpošanās prasmju apgūšanu 2 – 3 gadu vecumā. Tika pētīts konkrētā vecumposma psiholoģiskais raksturojums un rotaļu veidi, ko piedāvāt, lai sekmētu bērnu patstāvību un neatkarību no pieaugušā. Otrajā daļā tika veikts empīriskais pētījums, kurā, balstoties uz teorētiskajām atziņām, tika izvirzīti kritēriji, veidotas rotaļas un spēles, kas sekmētu bērnu pašapkalpošanās prasmju apgūšanu. Tika veikta vecāku aptauja, kurā tika noskaidrots: kā viņi vērtē savu bērnu pašapkalpošanās prasmes; kā un vai viņi ir gatavi personīgi iesaistīties šajā procesā. Tika veikta bērnu prasmju vērtēšana pirms un pēc praktiskās daļas. Iegūtie rezultāti tika apkopoti, analizēti un veikti secinājumi un veidoti ieteikumi skolotājiem. Praktiskajā daļā tika pārbaudīta izvirzītā hipotēze: 2 - 3 gadīgiem bērniem pašapkalpošanās prasmes rotaļā tiek veicinātas, ja bērns ir ieinteresēts darboties gan skolotāja vadībā, gan patstāvīgi ar pieejamajiem materiāliem. Izvirzītā hipotēze tika pierādīta, jo bērni gan aktīvi iesaistījās pedagogu piedāvātajās aktivitātēs, gan aizrautīgi un ar interesi darbojās patstāvīgi ar pieejamiem materiāliem. This research aims to examine how to encourage self-help skills of 2-3 year old children through various games. The research focuses on two components: how a child engages in the activity offered by the teacher; how a child works individually with the available materials. The Bachelor's thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part of the study analyzes and compares the observations of various practitioners and theorists concerning the development of self-help skills at the age of 2-3 years. The research examine particular age groups psychological characteristics and type of the games to offer by encouraging children's independence from an adult. In the second part, an empirical study was carried out, in which, based on theoretical findings, criteria were established and games created which would encourage children's self-help skills development. Parents survey was carried out. The results show how they evaluate their children 's self - help skills; how and whether they are willing to be personally involved in the process. The children's skills were evaluated before and after the empirical part. The study summarizes and analyzes the obtained results and draws conclusions. Research-based recommendations for teachers were made. In the empirical part, the hypothesis was tested: for 2-3 year olds, self-help skills in the games are encouraged if a child is interested in working both under the guidance of a teacher and independently with the available materials. The hypothesis was supported by the results of this research. The children actively engaged in the activities offered by the teachers and individually worked with the available materials exhibiting great enthusiasm. Staff turnover, it`s causes and possible solutions for SIA “Jūrmalas slimnīca”
Kvalifikācijas darba mērķis ir pētīt un uzzināt iespējamos personāla mainības iemeslus, iespējamos risinājumus pašvaldības kapitālsabiedrībā “Jūrmalas slimnīca”. Veicot pētījumu, darba autore secina, ka ir apzinājusi visus iespējamos personāla mainību ietekmējošos faktorus SIA “Jūrmalas slimnīca” un ka, neskatoties uz medicīnas nozarē valdošo spriedzi, uzņēmumā nepastāv nopietni draudi personāla mainībai. Kvalifikācijas darbs sastāv no ievada, teorētiskās daļas, pētījuma rezultātu analīzes, secinājumiem, priekšlikumiem un viena pielikuma. In performing the study, the author concludes that she has identified all possible causes that may affect staff turnover in SIA “Jurmalas slimnica’. Author also came to conclusion that despite the tense situation in medical sector there are no excessive threat to staff turnover in the company. The qualification work consists of introductory, theoretical part, analysis of results of study, conclusions, proposals and annex. The theoretical part of work provides an overview of the theoretical basis on staff variability, its calculation and factors affecting staff variability. The objectives for achieving the objectives of qualification work relate to the analysis of sources of literature and information, the drafting of a questionnaire and organization of telephone interviews, which are necessary to determine what factors affect staff turnover. For the purpose of the qualification work, the study uses secondary data analysis, telephone interviews and anketting. Four people were interviewed in telephone interviews. Abstract Modern Danish literature around the late 1960’s was influenced by somewhat conflicting perceptions of the way we think identity. This project looks into these trends and tries to exemplify their existence in Henrik Stangerup’s novel Slangen i brystet. We hereby take the aim of presenting some essential features in the creation of human identity in this specific period. Any attempt to shed light on this matter acquires a specifically angled approach. The novel’s obvious concerns about the modern shapes and sounds of human identity have invoked our use of theories from the literary world as well as modern sociology. To clarify the methods behind our means it is important to briefly mention the structure of the analysis, which will operate on several levels. To separate the novel’s character from the narrator we make use of the literary theories defined by Danish literate Annemette Hejlsted. In addition, certain elements in Stangerup’s personal life fuel our suspicion of the work as being so-called autofiction. Our analysis thus includes character, narrator and author. Finally, considering the novel’s numerous features of the characteristic form of literary realism founded at the time, along with Stangerup’s paradoxical views on modern literature and identity, we take a look at some contemporary Danish ideologies that coincides with the arrival of the post-structural movement. These ventures into the empirical background have lead us to a question along the lines: How can literature reflect the notion of human identity in the modern world?Abstract Modern Danish literature around the late 1960’s was influenced by somewhat conflicting perceptions of the way we think identity. This project looks into these trends and tries to exemplify their existence in Henrik Stangerup’s novel Slangen i brystet. We hereby take the aim of presenting some essential features in the creation of human identity in this specific period. Any attempt to shed light on this matter acquires a specifically angled approach. The novel’s obvious concerns about the modern shapes and sounds of human identity have invoked our use of theories from the literary world as well as modern sociology. To clarify the methods behind our means it is important to briefly mention the structure of the analysis, which will operate on several levels. Promoting planning skills in painting for 4-5-year-old children
Signe Ungure bakalaura darbā “ 4 – 5 gadīgu bērnu plānošanas prasmju sekmēšana gleznošanā”, kas izstrādāts Dr. paed. Dagnijas Vigules vadībā, tiek pētīta plānošanas prasmju būtība, un tās sekmēšana gleznošanā. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir teorētiski un praktiski pētīt plānošanas prasmju attīstības iespējas gleznošanā 4 – 5 gadīgiem bērniem. Lai pierādītu darbā izvirzīto hpotēzi, autore ir veikusi teorētisko un praktisko pētījumu. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 2 nodaļām un 6 apakšnodaļām, secinājumiem, un, noslēgumā, tiek sniegti ieteikumi pedagogiem šīs prasmes attīstīšanai saviem audzēkņiem. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek analizēta teorija par plānošanas prasmju būtību un attīstīšanas iespējām praktiskajā darbā ar bērniem. Tiek aplūkota 4 – 5 gadīgu bērnu attīstības likumsakarības, iepazīstoties tuvāk ar kognitīvo un metakognitīvo attīstību, kā arī tiek analizēta gleznošana plānošana sprasmju attīstības kontekstā. Darbā izmantoti tādi autori kā E.Vanags, V. Purēns, R. Fišers, Ann S. Epstein, Lawrence J. Schweinhart. Bakalaura darba otrajā daļā iegūtās teorētiskās atziņas tiek pārbaudītas praksē, veicot pedagoģisko izmēģinājuma darbību Rīgas pirmsskolas izglītības iestādē A, izvirzot kritērijus, pēc kuriem tiek analizēta plānošanas prasmju attīstība, lai pierādītu pētījumā izvirzīto hipotēzi. Pētījuma noslēgumā tiek sniegti ieteikumi pedagogiem. Bakalaura darba izstrādē izmantoti 45 literatūras avoti angļu un latviešu valodā, 9 attēli, 3 tabulas. Bakalaura darba kopējais apjoms ir 46 lapaspuses. Atslēgas vārdi: gleznošana, plānošanas prasmes, 4 – 5 gadīgi bērni, pirmsskola.Signe Ungure's bachelor's thesis "Planning skills development for 4 to 5-year-old children in painting" was developed under the leadership of Doctor in Pedagogy Dagnija Vigule. In this paper, the planning skills in painting and the development of these skills were studied. The purpose of this work was to study the possibilities of planning skills development in painting for 4–5-year-old children both theoretically and in practice. To prove the hypothesis stated in this work, the author has conducted a theoretical and practical research. The bachelor's thesis consists of 2 chapters and 6 subsections, the conclusion part, and the closing part, where recommendations are provided for teachers on how to develop these skills in their students. The first chapter analyses the theory and the core principles of planning skills and the possibilities of their development in practical work with children. The consistencies of the development of 4 to 5-year-old children are examined, thus understanding more about cognitive and metacognitive development, as well as the planning of painting in the context of skills development was analysed. Works by the following authors are used in this work: E. Vanags, V. Purēns, R. Fischer, Ann S. Epstein, Lawrence J. Schweinhart. The theoretical findings defined in the second part of the bachelor's thesis were tested in practice by conducting a pedagogical research activity in the Riga preschool educational institution A. The criteria for the analysis of planning skills development were selected to prove the hypothesis proposed by the research. At the end of the study, recommendations for educators are given. References: 45 literary sources in English and Latvian, 9 images, 3 tables were used in the development of the bachelor thesis. The total volume of this research work is 46 pages.
