Microfluidic generation of biomaterial gradients for control of neurite outgrowth
Enhancing and directing axon regeneration through an injury site represents a prime goal for therapies following nerve or spinal cord injury. The objective of this thesis is to develop a system to create durotactic and haptotactic gradients with a biomaterial scaffold for control of neural cell behavior. Gradients of mechanical properties and adhesion are generated in a 3D collagen gel using microfluidics. To spatially control the mechanical properties, gradients of genipin - a naturally occurring, cell-tolerated crosslinking agent - are created in 3D through a fibrillar collagen gel using a simple source-sink network. Durotactic gradients of mechanical properties are evaluated by measuring genipin-induced fluorescence, which we demonstrated can be correlated to the rheological properties of the collagen gel. Neurite growth from chick dorsal root ganglia was assayed in gradients and appropriate controls. Neurite growth was biased down a gradient of stiffness of ~60Pa/mm towards a more compliant region, and neurites were significantly longer in this direction than up the gradient and than in uniform conditions without crosslinking. Haptotactic gradients are generated by first grafting laminin derived peptides, IKVAV and YIGSR, onto the collagen backbone using 1-ethyl-3-(3-Dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide (EDC). Peptide-grafted collagen solutions are mixed with untreated collagen in the network Neurite outgrowth was enhanced in all laminin peptide-grafted collagen gradient conditions compared to the untreated collagen controls. Neurite growth was more responsive to gradients of YIGSR than IKVAV. Enhanced growth was observed in all YIGSR-grafted conditions with the greatest bias in the steepest gradient of (24.7 ??g/ml/mm). Enhanced growth was also observed in IKVAV-grafted collagen conditions, but stunted growth occurred in collagen with uniform IKVAV presentation, implying IKVAV may be too 'sticky' for neurite outgrowth at the highest concentration studied. Since both peptides are present on the whole-length laminin molecule, the results suggest that gradients of laminin would be sub-optimal because of the contradiction in the response to the two peptides. These results demonstrate that neurite growth can be enhanced and directed by durotactic and haptotactic gradients, and suggest that including a combination of these gradients in regenerative therapies may accelerate nerve and spinal cord regeneration.Ph. Husband Support Mediates the Association between Self-Efficacy and Cervical Cancer Screening among Women in the Rural Area of Indonesia
Objective: Standard cervical cancer screening is seen as the most efficient way of preventing cases of cervical cancer. This study aimed to test indirect husband support pathways and the use of self-efficacy and Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) testing among women in Indonesian rural areas. Methods: The research implemented a cross-sectional design carried out in East Java, Indonesia, a remote county. The inclusion criteria were women between the ages of 30 and 50 years, married or women having experienced of having sexual intercourse, have been utilized VIA test at least 3 years ago. The Self-Efficacy Scale and the Husband Help Survey were used to test the interest variable. A structural equation modeling was used to assess the relationship between husband help and VIA test self-efficacy. Results: The study was followed by a total of 219 respondents. Women's mean age was 33.03 years (standard deviation [SD]: 6.44), and the mean age for the husband was 37.51 (SD: 7.45). Just 7.31% had a year ago VIA test, and most (65.75%) had a VIA test within 4 years. A husband's help had the greatest direct impact on the use of Papanicolaou tests, with a 0.312 direction coefficient (P < 0.001). The mediator between the husband's help and the use of VIA tests was self-efficacy (standardized coefficients of the path: 0.123, P < 0.001). Conclusions: Our analysis revealed a route through which husband help influences the use of VIA tests among women in Indonesian rural areas. Providers must consider the effect of husband support on VIA testing in promoting the use of VIA tests among females in Indonesia. One potential communication approach is that providers make improvements to improve the use of VIA tests in supporting self-efficacy
Counterpressure dan Efek terhadap Nyeri Persalinan Kala I Fase Aktif pada Ibu Primigravida
Metode Counterpressure merupakan pijatan atau tekanan pada sacrum atau tulang belakang untuk menekan atau mengurangi nyeri. Counterpressure dapat dilakukan dengan menekan bagian punggung tepatnya pada sacrum seperti tekanan dengan menggunakan tangan, dengan cara telapak tangan melakukan tekanan dalam, kuat pada sacrum dengan tumit tangan dan menggerakkan melingkar kecil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Efektifitas nyeri pada ibu inpartu kala I fase aktif pada kelompok intervensi Counterpressure maupum kelompok kontrol. Metode penelitian ini menggunakandesain penelitian pra eksperimentyang dilaksanakan di Rumah Sakit Kanjuruhan Kabupaten Malang selama 4 bulan. Teknik observasi dilakukan untuk melihat intensitas nyeri sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi yang ditentukan dengan rumus uji-t. Instrument yang digunakan dengan menggunakan skala nyeri Bourbonais dan lembar observasi teknik Counterpressure. Berdasarkan uji analisis t-test dengan tingkat kemaknaan p < 0,05 menggunakan SPSS versi 17 didapatkan nilai p = 0,002 < 0,05 sehingga dapat diartikan bahwa ada perbedaan penurunan nyeri persalinan kala I fase aktif pada Ibu Primigravida sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan teknik Counterpressure. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa ibu primigravida yang melakukan teknik Counterpressure secara teratur dapat menurunkan nyeri persalinan secara berkala. Diharapkan metode counterpressure dapat diaplikasikan dalam asuhan keperawatan pada nyeri persalinan kala I fase aktif pada ibu primigravida.

The major problem of this study is to reveal that hallucination can be a
psychotic symptom that caused by many problems based on the structural
elements and to analyze the play based on the psychoanalytic approach.
In analyzing Black Swan the writer uses qualitative method and
psychoanalytic approach. The object of the study is Aronofsky’s Black Swan
released 2010. The writer uses two kinds of data, namely primary and
secondary data source. The primary data is Black Swan. While secondary data
are the other data which have relationship with the study, such as some
biography of the author, the articles from internet, the books and the other
relevant information. The benefit of this study is that the research can enrich
knowledge of the researcher and other reader who have interest in literary
work on movie with a psychoanalytic approach.
Aronofsky in Black Swan shows that people have limitation in psyche
and they should have a balance between id, ego and superego to get

If eye-tracking could be available for free to anyone with a camera phone, the potential impact could be great. For example, free eye tracking assistive technology could help people with paralysis to regain control of their day-to-day activities, such as sending email. The first part of this thesis describes the software implementation and the current performance metrics of the original iTracker neural network, which was published in the CVPR 2016 paper "Eye Tracking for Everyone." This original iTracker network had a 1.86 centimeter error for eye tracking on the iPhone. The second part of this thesis describes the efforts towards creating an improved neural network with a smaller centimeter error. The analysis of this town, in relation to its urban context, demonstrates the need for an architectural typology that tackles the problems of urban congestion, disorder, and ambiguity of access and circulation in a religious setting. This thesis will explore the multidimensional challenges of designing for order amidst the chaos of the dense and animated street culture of a temple town. By developing an infrastructural language that welcomes the progressive urban trends of commercialization and growth, while maintaining a sensitivity that caters to the traditionally bound culture, the design proposes a new urban vernacular that preserves the sacredness of the South Indian spiritual experience, while allowing for a layered cultural ambiance. Characterization of germ cell development in free-living and parasitic flatworms
Sexually reproducing organisms must ensure correct specification and maintenance of germ cells for species survival. Germ cells must be carefully protected from inappropriate differentiation while simultaneously maintaining their identity as highly specialized totipotent cells. Several germ cell-intrinsic mechanisms, including transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation, are key to executing germ cell-specific processes. Study of molecules necessary for the proper specification, maintenance, and differentiation of germ cells can lead to a deeper understanding of mechanisms underlying totipotency, infertility, tumorigenesis, evolutionary development, and even pathogenesis. Here we study germ cells in the context of both free-living and parasitic flatworms. We use the freshwater planarian Schmidtea mediterranea to understand the functions of germ cell-specific genes crucial for the development and proliferation of early male germ cells. Additionally, we also characterize genes essential for the tremendous reproductive output of the parasite Schisosoma mansoni, a causative agent of the a major neglected tropical disease, schistosomiasis.
It was recently shown that in S. mediterranea, a male germ cell-specific component of the ubiquitous Nuclear Factor-Y family of transcription factors, NF-YB, is necessary for testis maintenance. In Chapter 2, we characterize the cellular mechanism behind NF-YB-mediated maintenance of the male germline stem cells, known as spermatogonial stem cells, or SSCs. We demonstrate that NF-YB is not necessary for the specification of germ cells, but plays a role in the self-renewal and proliferation of SSCs. Furthermore, we show that other components of the NF-Y complex in S. mansoni are similarly necessary for the proliferation of male germ cells, indicating molecular and functional conservation of this family of transcription factors.
Next, we characterize the planarian homologs of boule, which belongs to a family of RNA-binding proteins known to play important roles in human infertility. In Chapter 3, we adopt an evolutionary-developmental approach and show that unlike other invertebrate boule genes, one of the planarian boule paralogs is required for SSC maintenance. Intriguingly, this early germ cell function, thought to be specific to vertebrate representatives of this gene family, appears to have evolved independently and earlier than previously thought. Our results demonstrate that the planarian can be a tractable invertebrate model system for understanding the germ cell functions of genes that are conserved between planarians and vertebrates.
Finally, in Chapter 4, we perform an unbiased transcriptomic screen to identify genes necessary for germ cell development in the parasite S. mansoni. The prodigious egg laying capacity of these parasites is the cause behindunderlies the morbidity of the disease schistosomiasis. Using a large-scale RNA interference-based functional approach, we identify genes functioning in different stages of schistosome male gametogenesis, as well as genes necessary for egg production in the mammalian host.

A Systematic Review: Knowledge of Reproductive Health in Adolescents
Problems that often occur in adolescents include sexual problems, unwanted pregnancies, abortions, sexually transmitted diseases, and drug abuse. One of the causes of this problem is the lack of adolescent knowledge about reproductive health. Therefore, it is necessary to provide adequate reproductive health education for adolescents. But during this pandemic, education through telemedicine is considered safer as an effort to control the COVID-19 pandemic. This review aims to summarize and determine the effect of education through telemedicine on changes in the level of adolescent knowledge about reproductive health based on literature studies. A systematic review was conducted to examine the effectiveness of health education through telemedicine on adolescent knowledge levels about reproductive health. The study examined 7 articles obtained from Science Direct, PubMed, and Google Scholar with a Randomized Controlled Trial or quasi-experimental research design. The articles were published between 2016 and 2022 and were evaluated by Joanna Brings Institute ( JBI) to examine their quality. Furthermore, research was explored and analyzed by Thematic Analysis. It was found that 20 journals showed a significant increase in the level of knowledge among adolescents about reproductive health, measured by before and after questionnaires. Based on the literature, health education through telemedicine has proven to be effective in increasing the level of adolescent knowledge about reproductive health.
