Formal portrait of Nancy Mirah Richards, called Nannie. She was the daughter of Daniel Richards and Nancy Elmira Gillett Richards. She was the granddaughter of Daniel Gillett, the original settler of the Frog Creek settlement that was renamed Gillette, with an "e", in honor of the family. Nanny was born December 20, 1875 in Gillette, a settlement named for her grandfather. She became the wife of County Judge James Jones Stewart on June 26, 1875
