Letter Addressed to Mr. Earl Rhoads

    No full text
A letter written on 2 pieces of manilla paper from Blanch (presumably Rhoads) from Tiffin, Ohio, to Earl Rhoads in Defiance, Ohio. While she addresses the letter receiver by his first name, she also signs it "Your little girl." She makes a note in the opening sentence about having never been given his street address. Therefore, she wrote on the envelope, "In 5 days, return to 6 Lang St. Tiffin, Ohio." The stamp is dated September 14, 1904 at 12:30 p.m. While partially faded, the back of the envelope proves the letter made it to Defiance at 5 p.m. but the exact date has faded away. The letter was given to T-SPL by Alan Borer in 2017
